Maine Street Music Lessons has set up 2 of my guitars and words cannot express how awesome of a job they did! These guitars mean the world to me and they sound amazing and play beautifully! 10 out of 10 I would HIGHLY recommend this place for all of your music needs!

These guys took care of my sons guitar. I shipped to them so he could have it at school. For a very reasonable fee, they unboxed it, tuned it, and fixed a lose pickup at no extra charge. Very happy to do business with them anytime.

Our entire family has had wonderful experiences at Main Street Music. My youngest daughter has been receiving violin lessons from Steve for the past 7plus years. She always looks forward to her lessons with him and he does a great job challenging her while also keeping the lessons fun. The other staff at Main Street Music is always friendly and professional. When my daughter needed an emergency repair so that she could play in a concert they were able to squeeze us in and fix her violin so that it was like new and she did not miss her performance. My guitar had been in my possession for 10 or 11 years, and over time small dings and such had occurred. Gave her personality. Then she got hurt pretty bad this last winter. She got a large crack on the bottom of her body.Messed up her sound and volume terribly.I was pretty upset by the whole thing. I had brought my guitar to this shop some time the year before that to have a tuning peg looked at. He fixed it quick and for a really good price. So, naturally, I immediately thought of this experience.I brought my guitar into his shop and asked for a full tune up as it were.Dude took care of everything. My guitar looks and feels and sounds so good.So good.Like, WOW! good.I highly recommend this shop. The folks are great. The work is amazing.

Ive had nothing but excellent experiences here. Ive known Steve for years and I dont think you will find a more honest and highly skilled luthier around. He made one of my guitars that I was considering selling play better than the day I got it. He is knowledgeable and completes jobs very quickly and the price is always reasonable, especially when you compare it to the excellent results. I would not go anywhere else.

Ive been taking guitar lessons with Rich Keene at Main Street Music Lessons for almost 3 years now. Rich is a great instructor and is extremely knowledgeable. The staff and atmosphere there are great! Highly recommended!!

I made a terrible mistake. I gave you a negative review without taking into consideration all the facts. My situation was just a comedy of errors and doesnt reflect this establishments true character. I should have made more persistent attempts to reach out to you instead of going off on an Internet rant. I give you five stars because your impact on the community is huge and the list is too long to name. Locally owned and operated. Great reputation. My sincere apologies for being a complete jerk.

I have been involved with Main Street Music going on 5 yrs. It started with me looking for someone to rehab my Washburn acoustic guitar. I brought it in and the job that Steve did was absolutly amazing. It actually played like a brand new guitar. Since then I have taken guitar /music lessons on weekly basis . I have also periodically sat with Arthur to help with my singing. I can honestly say that my experience with all of Main Street music has been nothing but very positive. I have even gained some great friends. Two years ago I started my Grandson taking guitar lessons and he has excelled very adequately. He just recently played the National Anthem for his school musical concert. There have been some blips along the way but never once was I not compensated for any mishap that may have happened. All are very highly skilled musicians and extraordinary teachers. I am especially impressed by the way that younger students are taught in a way that is easy for them to understand. Main Street Music Lessons is fantastic! I have been a guitarist for 30 years. I recently had some work done on my guitar and Steve Grenier (who was my guitar teacher 25 years ago!) did great work. Not only did he do the work I went in looking for, he also pointed out a few other things that my guitar needed, did the work extremely quickly and at a VERY fair price.Im also currently an aspiring drummer studying with Dick Demers who is the drum teacher at Main Street Music Lessons. If you are a drummer in the central / southern Maine area, chances are good that youve studied with Dick!As someone who has used both the repair department and taken lessons through the school, I highly recommend Main Street Music Lessons!
