I have a 5yr old that just “graduated” Pre-K from this center and a 2yr old that currently still attends. We love all staff and our kids have been able to learn so much and meet friends, very clean well maintained building and parking lot. Would recommend anyone to bring their kids here!!!!

My 2 children have been attending this daycare since they were 1&2 years old. Theyre now 3&4 and have always loved this place! My son has a sensory disorder and ADHD and ODD, this facility has been AMAZINGA with him. Even though he has outbursts and ALOT of unnecessary energy, each teacher has worked with him and been extremely calm in these situations! The owners AND the staff are basically family and have done an AMAZING job with every child and family enrolled here. If i could have given them 100 stars i would have! I recommend this facility for any family looking for a daycare facility. I know my children are safe when I drop them off everyday. I was dealing with a CPS case when we first enrolled and I never felt awkward or judged from the staff or owners the entire time I had to deal with the social workers coming to check on my babies! The first daycare my son went too wouldnt let me re-enroll my son or enroll my daughter because they didnt feel comfortable working with me after my son came home to me from a foster family. I chose this facility because of all the reviews I read and because it was recommended to me by the social workers i had on my case. I am sad that my son has to leave next year when he starts school but Ill have 1 more year with them for my daughter!!!

Hello newbees lol so my baby girl MiMi has been going to Tender Years Academy since she was 14 months now today 8-31-21 she is 5 and she graduated from pre k and this has been a fascinating journey and I would recommend everyone who has newborn to school age to bring there kids to the center…. Real honest clean and also has taught my child a lot such as writing her name and potty train my baby loves that school and never wanted to miss a day they are the best….. MUCH LOVE TO GIVE AND THEY LOVE YOUR KIDS LIKE THEY ARE THERES

My five year old son started attending a few weeks ago and he is doing great. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming.

If i could rate this place less than one star I would. This daycare facility refused to give me back my child because the father and I are going through a custody battle and the father was bad mouthing me to the staff. I showed up with signed court papers to get my child and they refused to give me my son. In the state of WA if you show up to a daycare facility and you have your Childs birth certificate and your ID proving you are the mother or the father on the birth certificate you are able to pick your child up from the daycare. I knew the father had been bad mouthing me so on top of providing the birth certificate and my ID I also provided the daycare a signed order from a Judge stating that I have full rights and custody of my child and that there was a temp no contact order in place. The daycare refused to give my my child and called the father whom I had the no contact order on and informed the father I was at the daycare picking up our son. Never have I ever in a million years would have ever expected such outrageous and disgusting actions from a daycare. When I tell this story I just still cant even believe that something so horrible and traumatizing actually happened let alone happened to me and my child.I drove by this daycare 3 or 4 times a little less than a week after my horrible experience and all 4 times I drove by there was police in front of the building. Not just one police but 3 to 4 police cars. Im surprised this place is still open honestly.Only reason my son was even at this horrible place is because my sons father withheld my son and by the time I was able to get an order to get my son back in my custody the father had taken our son out of his normal daycare and into this gross and unfit daycare. I am just so glad my son was not at this daycare long because who knows what this place is capable of. I have never ever seen a daycare with police swarming the parking lot let a lone 4 times within 2 weeks. DO NOT GO HERE

This place is the only daycare my son, who is almost 3 knows. I trust them with him and its hard to find wonderful people these days. He loves going there and learns so much. They always keep him and everything else clean. I love the diversity and everyone is so friendly! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for child care😊

Being a first time mom, this place has been very helpful. My son started going when he was 2 months old. The wonderful women that work in the infant room have helped me navigate the waters of having an infant without over or under reacting to all the stages of his development. We love it here! Each morning when we get there, my son reaches for the teachers the same way he reaches for me in the afternoon. I am 100% confident that he is safe and being nurtured during the day while I am at work!

My niece loves this daycare. Every time I drop her off and pick her up shes always happy. She loves her Preschool teacher Ms. Stephanie. Shes always learning new things in her class. The reason why I like taking my niece to Tender Years is because its a family-oriented daycare.❤️

I am very grateful to have found a place that devotes so much care for my son. I leave him with no worries. The teachers are great communicators and are also very supportive. Great place for children!

Tender Years is amazing. Our child has attended since she was 4 months old and is getting ready to potty-train :). Every day; every child and every parent is greeted with warmth and respect. The staff genuinely care about the children and want to foster their learning and development. I feel so lucky to have them on our team and recommend every family check out TYA!

Do not take your kiddos to this place if you care and love them because the owner Mrs. Florance will do the opposite. She does not care for the children and just cares about the money on two different occasions when something happens to my daughter I contact her and let her know what happened and she told me everything I wanted to hear but she did not take action at all. See she just tells you what you want to hear but does absolutely nothing about it she just pushes it all under the rug. Also the teacher are nice but there are not enough teachers they all leave soon after starting and do not stick around I know for a fact it is because of the way she treats them I have witnessed her belittle teacher and humiliat them. Overall this place sucks if you look at past comments they are all about her and what she has done since she is the owner she feels as tho she can do things her way instead of going by the book and following regulations for running a daycare

Being a mom of 8 beautiful children, my two youngest babies attended Tender Years Academy and I have to say that I was very pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff!!! Im not one to just trust any Daycare for any of my kids because Im super overprotective, but Tender Years has earned my trust and I really appreciate all the staff for taking such good care of my precious cargo. Thank you Tender Years Academy!!!

So my little guy goes there. Im the father of 5. Ive been dealing with day cares for the better part of 30 years. Ive had lots of different types of day care. The director of this place is the best. She loves my son. Deals with my crazy partner like a champ, and is very efficient in dealing with me. I love where my son is and I wouldnt have it any other way.

My son has been going here since May of 2018 . He loves them and so do I! The owner, the director and all the teachers have became family to us. My son is flourishing and learning so much! He gets excited to go to his daycare/school! He is 2 and was 1 when we first started. I’m comfortable and happy to know that my son is in great care with amazing people that are loving him and teaching him so much. I’m very pleased to know them and have them care for my son! Thank you Tender Years Academy , for being such a blessing in our lives and loving my child like you do!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and engaging for the kids. My daughter loves it here. I would definitely recommend it to any parents. They also work with DSHS cases.

I love these guys. They take awesome care of my favorite little human. Super affordable and accommodating. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my four year old’s development since he started attending Tender Years Academy. Very clean and stimulating learning environment. I’m very grateful to all the people that work there.

We ended up leaving about a year or less later due to unexplained injuries, ants, and the turnover rate for the staff was horrendous- they started just hiring anybody they could. Moved onto Kids Country and my kids have had no issues. They didnt even cry their first few days like most kids.Absolutely love this day care! The multicultural staff really creates an open no discrimination environment. The teachers are really great with working alongside the parents with potty training and other needs a child may have. My daughters would cry when i dropped them off at their last day care and would run from the staff but with Tender years my kids run to their teachers because theyre just so excited with their time spent their. As a parent i only want the best for my babies and ive found the best here! 10/10 would recommend!

I love the communication I have with my childrens teachers. My almost 2 years old teacher is amazing, I love hearing her talk about new things she will be doing with the kids. and i love hearing the excitement in her voice. and all the teachers in that facility are amazing.

Dont care about the kids well-being when they just got over sickness and theyre still taking the kids outside dont care about changing kids diapers before they go home and just not feeding them enough food to keep them full.

My daughters love it here the school and the teachers are amazing my youngest is in the infant room && she absolutely loves her teacher && her teachers love her they are just amazing !! My oldest is in the preschool && loves her teachers ! I love that they have a set time of what they do to put them in routine !

My daughter has been going here for about 3years. They have helped potty train her and teach her colors and numbers in two languages and sing songs I sang when I was in kindergarten and she is only tree. I love the progress she has made.

I am absolutely so pleased with this daycare they provide so much learning and growth for these children and my daughter loves going! Best daycare I’ve experienced since moving to the west side.

I am so thankful to have found this BLACK owned CLEAN family oriented daycare. My son has been going here since he was a baby in the infant room and still attends now. I love the staff and the way they keep the facility clean and secure.The owner Ms.Florence i love her shes helpful and always goes the extra mile, shes understanding to life situations and sometimes things happen you have no control over thats life .But communication is everything as long i communjcate anything that may come up in my life in that moment shes there to assist me and give me good suggestions if i ask . The director Ariel iis the first face you see as you enter the center and shes so Awesome!! So organized and on top of everything ALWAYS keeping you up to date with things happening in the center and is great at responding back to you if u leave a message on the phone or email. Shes so welcoming and friendly..If im having one of those days when im just needing to vent for 2 minutes as im signing in my baby shes always there to listen and that alone makes my day turn around. The classrooms are all spacious and clean. They feed the kids healthy snacks and always provide us with daily reports on what they did during the day. The.teachers are nurturing and i know my child is safe and secure when i drop him off. I love the diversity as well as the fact my my son loves his teachers his favorites Ms.Night and Ms Theresa. They work well with the children and my son is learning so much. ! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for childcare.Im very cautious about anyone watching my kids but i finally found a place where i feel comfortable and i know that they are being educated,having fun,and safe while im working.Thank you to all the staff

My almost 3 years old son took a happy journey there for 5 months, the teachers are nice and friendly, the owner was excellent, good to talk and inspired, there some private reason we are going to leave, but we will miss all the people in Tender Years.

They are very open and welcoming, my children love it there and constantly tells me about her days at school as she calls it

So I am a single mother 2 girls. My youngest had been going since she was 3 months. The infant room are very tentative understanding and caring. And every child I see including my own loves ms rosa. Ms. Rosa is very dedicated and loving towards every child. My oldest also has been going since she was 1.5 years old and she was never afraid. Loves her teachers wants to go to school. Fast forward to now my youngest is now 3 and still goes, has bonds with every level of teachers and does amazing with potty training with her main teacher. My 5 year old learned a lot, loves the teachers, and even though shes in an ECAP program now she still wants to go back to tender years with her teacher ms amani.The Faculty also includes and involves families with how the kids day went. What good they did, what fits they may have had. If any injury, it is reported timely and forms filled out, documented, and parents (family on yellow sheets) notified. The owners are understanding, friendly and also very helpful with any changes. I love how it is an actual family that runs the academy.Oh and on top over everything else I love the location it easy to get to and continue travel to work or home.

I have known tender years academy for almost 6 years I have learnt a lot and also I love working with kids they make me happy, smile and they are so funny, just love being here, every one should check out tender years.

My children attend tender years and are very happy as well as thriving when I had to put my children in the care of someone else it was hat my daughter was 4 weeks old and is almost 2yrs old now and my son is 3 my kids love the staff and are always excited to go.

This was our first experience with a daycare facility, and it has been very unpleasant. During my daughters short stay here the staff rotated multiple times to the point where they didnt know who my daughter nor I were when we came in. The communication from the new director has been awful to the point I call over and over with no response and came in with an appointment with no one available. When trying to withdraw my daughter there seemed to be no policy or procedure and she was very oblivious to any questions I had. My daughter had random dirty clothes, bottles, and toys in her cubby MANY times. I could go on about the poor care and service of this location, but I hope to help another new parent avoid this facility.
