Wonderful environment to learn good discipline and self defense. Very good with both children and adults. Great instructors! Would highly recommend!

I signed my two young sons (7&9) up about a year ago in the middle of the pandemic. The Dojo takes every precaution for the safety of those who walk in the door. The energy of the staff/teachers is quite remarkable. You can feel the passion they have for not only teaching karate but also for their students lives in general, pushing them to be the best version of themselves along the way. They push students to their limits and cheer them on the whole way. They take extra time when needed. Mr Walker is amazing and has many tools and ideas for any life situations you may be experiencing with your kids. It really is like a family here and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great teacher and amazing work from everyone wish I couldve continued my training with them but I still practice what I remember and Im always seeing if different ways to bring to modern era keep up the good work sensei walker

I have been taking classes at Bushido Academy for 9 months now and could not be happier with my choice of schools. Mr. Walker has created an environment that is both supportive and challenging to bring out the very best of each student. Every day, I see myself and others doing more than we thought possible.As a 40-something female who had never trained in martial arts, the potential for intimidation was high but I have been made to feel very welcome by both staff and students. Training has become my me time – when I can set aside everything that is going on in life and focus on the here and now – with the benefit of getting into great shape and learning self defense.If youve ever been curious to try martial arts or have kids who are interested, I would definitely recommend Bushido Academy as a great place for you both to start. I should also add, however, that this isnt just a school for beginners. There are many serious, competitive martial artists within this school who are wonderful to work with.

We visited several dojos before choosing this one. Even though there are dojos closer to our house, weve continued to come here for the past 2.5 years. Sensei Walker cares about the students and their families and teaches life lessons in addition to all the katas, forms, and moves. My son wants to make him proud and practices at home. (He doesnt do this in any other area of his life!) A lot of times its students who are teaching as Sensei is very big on leadership development.
