I have been there about 4 months. I try to attend five days a week. It is terrific. The teachers are no nonsense and get it that everyone has their own pace and physical condition. I have lost almost 10 pounds since starting and would go seven days a week if they were open that often. All three sifus (John, Chris, and Paul) are highly skilled, accessible and not put off by any sort of question.

I joined this school in mid June and have loved my experience there. I am able to progress at my own pace, Sifu John is very observant and well versed at teaching. The other students are also very friendly and welcoming.I only wish my son was old enough to take the childrens Wushu classes!

Those people just looking for money, even without giving any services. they charge me monthly, Although I asked to cancel the service due to the Coronavirus, and every time I called them to get the money back, and after the expiry of the year contract with five months (I dont remember there was a contract), they renewed the contract on their own and started charge my credit again, and when I called and asked them to return the money, he refused and hung up the phone in my face, and two minutes later they withdrew an additional two months of the visa. How do you think you can force me to take your services with this Ethics that you have? How you charge for services you did not given, especially at Coronavirus Time?

I tried out Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Institute on a whim with my best friend. Now Im on my way to becoming Aang from Avatar The Last Airbender. In all seriousness, training at DSKFI has allowed me to grow my physical and mental fitness while teaching me a valuable form of martial arts and self-defense. The Shifus are great and are super willing to break down movements to help me learn forms. Shout out to Johnny - even the members of the class create a great community.

I took advantage of the free class offer on their website. And I continue to take the Tai Chi classes now for a couple of months. This is my first experience with Tai Chi and at age 56, I am gaining mental clarity, improved balance, stronger muscles, weight loss , and am learning the beauty of the movements which offer overall harmony. I do recommend this place!

Been training on and off in Kung Fu for the last two years. I started training at the Kung Fu and Tai Ji Institute early this August and it has been the most fun Ive ever had training. Students are pretty down to Earth and nice. The atmosphere here is pretty light and you can train Monday-Saturday which i think is awesome. Classes are 1.5 hours which is enough time to get 1-on-1 time with Sifu Tony. I personally go five times a week because i enjoy it that much. Great place to train, great teacher, and great students.

This is a REAL Shaolin school for Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qigong. Every session, I learned and improved so much. My kids loved it too. Paul is amazing with them! They progressed so quickly, and were always taught just above their level to keep them stretching toward excellence. Its tough! It will get you in shape. It will change you.I regret so much that we only had one season to train at the Institute. We are moving out of state now, and I doubt we will find another school quite like this one.

I have been training under Sifu Tony for almost 6 years now and he has amazing knowledge of Chinese Kung Fu. His teaching style is very old school and is very rooted in tradition. He keeps the Martial in Martial Arts which is rare to have in Martial Arts schools nowadays. In all, great school, amazing teacher with amazing knowledge!

This is a great Martial Arts School. Amazing teacher and teachings. Being a mother of 3, not to mention all of them being National Champions, this is a great place to learn genuine Chinese Kung Fu. Sifu Tony is a great teacher and is really gifted in the Martial Art and is very knowledgeable of the Chinese Culture. All in all, 5/5 stars.

Sifu Tony is an amazing teacher with immense experience with Kung Fu. When I started my search for a place to study Martial Arts - I tried a lot of places and I have never once regretted the decision to attend Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Taichi Institute! Not only do you learn the movements, but you learn the practical applications and correct way to do them, along with explanations (which is super important to me) as to why it should be done that way. If you’re looking to learn Kung Fu or just Martial Arts in general - this is definitely the place to go!

Very good place for wushu shaolin and tai chi, but i feel the applications and philosophy behind it should be instructed as well. Wing chun is not bad same for the philosphy and applications. Also i dont think anyone there has been thoroughly instructed properly how to chi sau or proper use of the wooden dummy which are vital in wing chun. A very good place i still recommend to anyone! :)

This school is, without a doubt, the best martial arts experience in Colorado, and, likely, most of America. Sifu Tonys experience is invaluable. What he offers is real, traditional, Shaolin Kung Fu, and the Shaolin Temple in China has recognized his teaching as such. His education encompasses all aspects of traditional martial arts, not only fitness, but mind and spirit as well. He makes his students work hard, but hard work is necessary to truly develop skill, and I have only seen people improve their lives as a result of his training, kids and adults alike. Come for the kung fu, stay for the mentorship!

This is Authentic Chinese Martial Arts! I started at the Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute 6yrs ago. It has changed my life. The instructor, Sifu Tony Timmer is a great man. I have learned very much from him. He has helped me become a better person through his teachings and knowledge. He knows many forms brought back from Korea and China and studied at the source of Kung Fu. He brings with him the ways and culture of the martial art, Kung Fu. It is not just punching and kicking and flying. Its a way of being at peace with yourself so you can be at peace with others. And more. His methods are handed down from his masters and unaltered. His techniques and forms are amazing! Everytime I go to class I feel like Neo from the movie The Matrix. Whats funny is I can do some of the moves Neo does and without CG! Since I started, I have gained strength, agility, flexibility, and self confidence. When I started I was very out of shape and with Sifu Timmers help I lost 40lbs. I have won first place in weapons forms and second place in hand forms at the 2015 National Chinese Martial Arts Championship. The school has performed regularly at the Dragon Boat Festival at Sloans lake, as well as competitions in Las Vegas and Albuquerque and brought home gold many times including the children. March of 2017 the school is travelling to Hong Kong to compete at the martial arts tournament infront of the monks from the Shaolin temple! I guess what Im trying to say is, this is the real deal. The instructor is an amazing man that has changed my life and I consider him a good friend. If you want to learn real Kung Fu, then this is the place.

I have practiced in many different types of martial arts in my life but I soon realized that Kung Fu in specific is rare as in not many seem to teach it. The reason is that Kung Fu is the birth of all Martial Arts, it is what influenced every other types of martial arts. But in truth how my experience started out was that when I came to Denver I noticed that when I searched Karate Dojos I got probably 20 or more results and that was just in Denver, but when I searched for Kung Fu I could only find no more than 5 different schools and that to me seemed disappointing because of my passion for this art. Then I started to call all of them and ask the Sifus or instructors about what they teach and given my knowledge about real Kung Fu I decided to meet with one of the schools. This school was taught by Master Tony and the moment I walked in he had a friendly smile on his face and that by itself made me want to quickly sign up for his classes. Although when I signed up I had doubts because in the past Ive had instructors who never even taught the classes themselves and had their top ranking students teach us simply because they were too lazy to do so themselves but Master Tony showed great knowledge in not only Kung Fu but he would also give advice and talk to his students, he can be strict in his teachings and makes sure that technique is performed in the best way possible but thats exactly what I needed to improve. So overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to truly learn real kung fu and self defense and Im sure they will not be disappointed for attending the school.
