Shaun at the Aurora Campus for PIMA I found was incredibly rude. In fact dogged on my thoughts towards school. Shaun told me I wasn’t ready for school and should reconsider if I’m satisfied where I’m at. I will never consider this school again as that is such a toxic environment and Shaun should be aware that peoples confidence can be affected by the way he speaks to potential students.

Didn’t really hear much about the vet tech program however it costs more than belrea and the education seems very basic. Not only that but the administration gentleman that called me back and informed me to look at ratings for the school not the Curriculum was a little bother some.

Pima has been a great experience for me.They helped me achieve things to better my life situation and not only that but the teachers there are the best teachers you can have. Both Carrie Garcia and Carrie Smith really help you through out the process of medical school. They actually show they care about their students and their education. They show that they actually love their job and helping their students succeed.Of course , have to save the best for last, Alli is also, a great instructor at Pima I was with her for two classes and just in that time I really got to know her and shes such a great person and as a instructor she is very understanding when it comes down to her students.

BEWARE!! This school had a very nice staff once you first join but once they get the money you are just another number. School gives a relatively well education but other than that look forward to constantly having to fend for your own. Only come to this school if you want to be apart of the staff because no matter how awful you are as an educator or administrator you most likely wont get into any trouble! GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE INSTEAD at least there your credits will transfer for something if your teacher is as awful as certain teachers here!

As a new graduate from PMI, I couldnt be more grateful to be where I am at today. One year ago I didnt know what I wanted to do with my life, I didnt even have a high school diploma. When I took the tour at PMI I instantly knew it was for me. I had the opportunity to sit down with the Staff and choose my program, I was being walked through the school and I had the chance to talk about the steps I was going to make. Taking that one step made me do this for not only my future but for my children. I am glad to be An ALUMNI!!!!! All for Pima guiding me I received my high school diploma and Graduated From the Medical Assisting program in one year ! Stay dedicated , Stay motivated, Stick to your heart!

I promise you will get a job in your field of study without having to cover every single tattoo you have. Pima will have you cover every tattoo you have. If you do not comply, it effects your grade. So basically, you could be a 4.0 student and fail due to not having every single tattoo covered. Periodically, the admin staff will raid the classroom and have the students stand to check for proper hygiene and tattoos. Wack. I suggest applying at a community college with grants and financial aid.

PIMA is dedicated to the students. They make sure no one gets left behind in classes, if one person struggles they will go above and beyond to help them achieve the students academic goals. Tanya, the first instructor I had, was a shining example of that. Jasmine is also a friendly face you will see in the halls helping students get into student council. Also a shout out to all the recruiters and the patience they have with each individual person who walks through the doors for the first time. I havent met all the instructors so far but have heard nothing but great things about all of them. Well done PIMA.

Here at PIMA I was able to change my life. Start a career. I quit my job I was miserable at to study full time as a DA. Ms. Kay is the best teacher who taught me everything I needed to know, really prepared me for the field. And Ms. Shelley was great in getting me back into the swing of school and learning all the basics. I felt great support from everyone, Amanda, Shaun, even Ms. Terri our director (who was brand new and transitioning). Now working full time in the field after being hired after my externship, I am more than happy and knowledgeable, you can tell the training and education is different from ANY other DA school here in the area. Proud to say this is where I studied to become a Dental Assistant! Next step Hygiene! Thank you PIMA for shaping me into the professional I am today.

This institution is the worst. Students are treated like dirt. If you complain you are threatened with expulsion. Students get no clinical time in areas critical to them passing the course and state exam. The entire staff LOVE YOU UNTIL YOUR TUITION IS RECEIVED and will bend over backwards to help you get into student loan debt but after that they dont give a hoot. THIS PLACE IS NOT ACCREDITED SO YOUR CREDITS WONT TRANSFER OR BE ACCEPTED ANYWHERE ELSE. Students are told the school will be accredited and they will be grandfathered in but once they get your tuition it doesnt happen. As of this posting they are not accredited.Find yourself an institution that is accredited and ask for proof of it or your money is wasted. Talk to the students enrolled even if you have to do so after classes and their responses will make you RUN LIKE HELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I visited several schools before chosing PIMA. I found that PIMA offered the best choice for time and cost. I feel very supported by staff and the teachers. When I had questions or concerns I had no problems with staff or teachers to help resolve the issues.I know when I finish that I will be prepared for my career in nursing.

I just graduated from the LPN program here at PIMA in Aurora, CO. I’m being as honest as possible with this review. I’m happy and pleased with my experience I had at Pima. Nothing is perfect and everyone can find flaws in all schools, but you have to take the good in with the bad. I was one of the first students enrolled in the LPN program when it opened. At first, it was a tiny disorganized (that’s to be expected when you enroll into a new program). I took a leave of absence for 3 months and came back to an organized, disciplined program. The program got a new director, amazing teachers and clinical instructors. I was impressed. I received the education and skills I needed to be a successful nurse. The program provides you with getting IV certified so you don’t have to worry about paying $500 for an IV coarse after you graduate. The program provided the students with an extra bonus at the end called the HURST, providing us with study material to help us successfully pass the NCLEX with a 100% passing rate. I can’t thank everyone here enough for believing in me and your encouragement to help me fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse. Shawn in the office went out of his way to get me into the program and provided study material to help me pass the entrance HESI which I had struggled with at other schools. Terri and Tammy ( the directors of the school) always provided me with support. Rebecca ( the nursing director) I’m so glad she took over the program, she has done an amazing job and truly knows how to run a successful, organized nursing program. Rebecca, you deserve an applause. Jessica is Rebecca’s left hand and she works so hard and has been so uplifting since day one. My instructors Mike, Jo, Susan, Rob, they are the best. They truly care about each and everyone of us. They invested so much of there time, skills, encouragement to help us become good nurses. I truly can’t thank all of you enough for this journey. I would do it all over again and would not hesitate coming back to PIMA.

Unaccredited, understaffed and uninterested in the success of its students.- The LPN program offered thorough PIMA is not an official program recognized by the Board of Nursing yet; a fact the school fails to disclose until AFTER you’ve enrolled and paid your tuition.- The program has undergone numerous staff changes at the expense of a standardized curiculum. Of the very small number of actual instructors remaining, several seem to be unable to properly conduct a class. Assignments get posted without notice at late hours, tests are often curved to account for poor question writing and problems with the exam process. On several occasions, students in class have been left unattended while teachers attend meetings in the middle of a scheduled class.- Clinicals are a similar disaster. Students are often left without supervision, sometimes with the clinical instructor leaving the site entirely to run errands. Clinical instructors seem to forget they are still teaching a class and make wild and inappropriate comments at the students.- If the staff is presented with issues brought up by the students they are simply swept under the rug. The director of the school is more concerned with keeping up appearances then actually fighting the fires breaking out in all aspects of this school. If a students speaks up they can expect to be brought in and threatened with termination from the program. Students are simply expected to tow the line quietly regardless of how poorly the school functions.- If a student withdraws from the program, the directorial staff will input the information wrong, resulting in a student failing a course rather than being actually withdrawn as they should be.You’re much better taking $20,000 and literally throwing it away. It would be better spent that way than giving it to PIMA.

I attended the Occupational therapy assistant program. The education is adequate, the teachers are largely not good. I had 2 fieldwork coordinators, both bad especially the last one. She placed me with 2 sites and had to change both at the last minute largely because of her inadequate efforts. Both of the sites were not appropriate and completely unhelpful. I learned nothing from the fieldwork teachers. The 2nd fieldwork teacher ostracized me, a mature adult, for complaining about her class and had the director deduct points from my folder. The director was terrible. She was supposed to carry my concerns about the fieldwork teacher to that teacher for discussion and did not. In fact she and this teacher cornered me twice for a end of semester review which was just an excuse for them to attack and overwhelm me with invalid concerns. The director had supposed tutoring hours but out of 3 times was unprepared and complaining about all the work she had to do. Each time I ended up leaving without any tutoring because of this. There were 2 good, responsive, knowledgable teachers but still, I ended up unprepared for working in the field. Be careful in deciding to attend this school. I would not recommend it.

I have not one good thing to say about this so called SchoolThey have made my life a complete living nightmareThe teachers are not actually teachers. They are just normal people who work in the field who didnt like there career enough to stay in it for the long run. They do not give you enough time to learn the skills you need.I was in the veterinary assistant program and we did not get very much hands on learning. All we did was take notes after notes and then test. They set me up to fail by placing me in a externship that didnt care about me and only had me doing things that any one could do!After I told the school about the problems in my externship they flipped out and failed me for the class. I wasnt able to graduate and now I am $14,000 in dept with no certificate to find work that I went to school for.I have been trying to get back in and finish my externship but they will not call me back and keep ignoring my emails! The lady in the financial aid office has stolen $3,000 from my financial aid and hasnt returned it to where it belongs.Do not go to this school! They are liars and cheaters!

Cannot say anything bad about my professor I had. But the financial aid was rude and uncoroporative when I had no job and no way to pay they hounded me till I borrowed money and not to mention the student coordinators never touch base with me about my externship and only care about my hours. Not if i am doung a good job, I will never suggest this school to any of my friends.
