The program really helped our daughter get very familiar with numbers and arithmetic. It was very important to us that she be fearless when it came to numbers. But more than that, we enrolled her for the benefits in terms of developing skills to absorb and learn new material fast. Attentiveness and productivity improved significantly and we see it in our daughters work with advanced concepts now. Dr. Sarker is very patient and knows her students well.

Excellent training for developing basic math skills and focus. My daughter really enjoys going to the classes. Abacus has really helped her in all of her subjects, but especially math. Mrs. Sarker is very kind and patient with the kids and very accommodating when we need to schedule make-up sessions.

Our boys have been with Abacus Brain Gym (ABG) since each was 5 years old, they’re now 7&10. We have had a very positive experience with Dr. Sarker and plan on continuing until we complete the program. Dr. Sarker is a highly dependable and knowledgeable teacher who consistently provides focused small group instruction and has been accommodating to our ever changing schedules.I was a 7th and 8th grade math teacher for 5 years before having children, and I realized students - especially in middle school - needed a very solid foundation to be successful in mathematics. Year after year I saw students lacking basic level skills and therefore confidence in math. I knew at that point that I would need to supplement my own children’s math education, but how was the dilemma. The promise that ABG gave was that students could eventually do calculations using sizable numbers, all in their head. Well, ABG delivered. Both of my children have minds that can mimic a calculator. Using an abacus, they have been taught the computational skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide large numbers (including decimals), all in their head, within moments. This is not a skill they can acquire at school. They have in essence, learned a new mathematical language. My kids also enjoy doing their abacus homework. It offers friendly competition since ABG uses a program which allows them to directly compete against each other and other students by keeping track of their stats on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.I now feel absolutely confident sending my older son (and eventually my younger son) to middle school with the skills he’s gained through this program. ABG has undoubtedly helped shape their entire school career.
