My kids love this school and they have never been more excited to go to school EVERYDAY. The education is excellent here compared to any public school around here. Its their first year and yes, it may have been a bad first week having to wait an hour and a half to drop off or pick up your kids, but with determination and consideration from the staff to their scholars and parents, they have taken that time down to 30 minutes. And given there is NO transportation yet, that it REALLY GOOD! Im sure all the parents of the scholars are hoping for transportation for the 2017-2018 school year. Whats even better is they are putting a crosswalk to the school to cross slaughter ln. This school proves over and over again how much they TRULY CARE. Teachers have always come across genuine and the curriculum is amazing. I plan on doing whatever I can to keep my kids in this school till college.

I would first like to share the review by Bridget Olivares is counterfeit. She is actually the assisant principal at IDEA why would she not give a 5 star review to make them look good. These people are vile and some of the cruelest people at this Hell hole.My nieceattended this school 8 months ago and she was bullied by teachers. All I have to say about Ms.Olivares shes a snake pretending to work in the best interest of children. She had the nerve to say if her counselor Mr Gonzales was there my neice could see him, when she started complaining about being bullied by mental kids.Ms.Jones,Mrs.Metz,Ms.Ochs,Ms Dismuke bullied my niece.Ms.Jones,Ms.Metz,Ms.Dismuke are liars, pure wicked and have no shame bullying a 6 year old.Even after my neices Mom kept talking to Ms.Ochs about her behavior, she contined to mistreat my niece belittling her.Run from this place no displine for the crazy students who will continue to terrorize society. Some of these teachers need to be screened for mental illness disorders.Ms.Olivares can keep putting up a front whatever. It takes to pay the bills wicked.God Knows you people wicked and cruel. They dont care about your kids. Its true your child will have anxiety issues, and be a nervous wreck. The teachers are mean, scream, rude disrespectful liars.RUN RUN RUN

DO NOT put your precious child in this school - run as far and as fast away as you can. In the long run majority of the children that attend IDEA will end up with anxiety, depression or worse due to the extreme commands, screaming and restraints every child witnesss daily; which it has become the norm at IDEA Bluff Springs. I promise any parent saying otherwise is not fully aware or blindsided by the facade of the academy style. When my child was in this school 08/2016 - 04/2017 she:was grabbed and pulled by her teachers, screamed at daily by her teachers and upper level staff, walked for two - three hours without breaks; at least once a week; with her entire class of 30+, around in circles in the hallways for discipline of one childs actions.Anytime my child attempted to ask for help from being bullied (which happens daily) she was brought into the Vice Principals office where he belittled her and mentored as he called it to not saying anything about how they are being treated or would get in worse trouble. The homeroom teacher would get inches from her face threatening if she dared cry she would get sent to Mr. Gonzales; so she started getting ulcers and throwing up from all the stress. She would cry before school begging me not to make her go. Daily she would watch her math teacher restrain and scream at her and other students. One of the worst fears I had was ever hearing if my child got restrained. I watched during a lunch visit teachers grabbing and pulling a 6th grader down the stairs straight into the office. My daughter even told me on her last day there, the teacher made the students push a child that was having issues back into the class. She had my daughter hold the door because she was the strongest.Once when she was in the 2nd grade restrooms a group of 6th graders entered the restroom and pushed and bullied her around talking about inappropriate things about female issues to a 2nd grader and name calling her. When I confronted the Vice Principal, Mr. Gonzales about these issues he denied them and contradicted himself several times. When he told me he stood at the door and heard my child talking back; I asked him what she said verbatim. He became very defensive and rude saying I dont walk around with a tape recorder all the time. But he was so for sure he heard her he grabbed her and for hours scolded her in his office to listen to him. He called this mentoring her. (Nothing added up)The teachers they hire are 80% fresh out of school either leave or are not able to make it in a public setting yet; so they hide behind the iron fence and have complexes and have no remorse belittling your children. The administrative staff is a facade of nurturing admins that work for the most cruelest spiteful authorities of the school. They promise you smaller class sizes but since teachers walk out quitting on the children their homeroom and other classes are put at 30+ students at times. One of the biggest jokes is 90% of the children are straight As only for showcase in reports. They place the kids in a lower level that is guaranteed to lead to show their techniques are working but when you put a 2nd grader at 1st or kindergarten level, of course they will have all As. It is a win-win for the teachers and CEO but a struggle for our children when they are given real life problems.Every charter school promises 100% acceptance into College so do not let that be your focal point. You may feel proud for a while and able to brag your child got all As on their report card - but at what price. For the parents of IDEA - please make it a habit to really listen to your children, notice signs of depression, anxiety, stress, dissociated (day-dreaming) because these are tale-tale signs your child is being bullied by not only classmates but staff. Please show up at school unexpectedly and let them know you are there to sit in on your childs class for observation. Do not turn your back on your child - expecting IDEA to care for them.
