Both my kids have been going to Chinese with Meggie since they were young toddlers. They attend class weekly and summer camps for the past four years.My older son not only can speak excellent Mandarin, but he also reads and writes very well. My younger one is getting into reading and writing in Chinese too. My husband and I are so grateful for all teachers in Chinese with Meggie. They are all so dedicated and hardworking. Our kids have been going to Chinese With Meggie for over 9 years now. We felt unsure at first because it was unlike the traditional classes, but over time we saw the benefits of their approach and decided to stay with it. The open approach is structured and yet focused on the hands on activities and interactions, all in Chinese. We could see the improvement early on in understanding, speaking and writing. These gave our kids a good foundation to doing well in the Chinese Language class at school, including preparing our daughter for the Chinese AP class.

Chinese with Meggie has been a transformational experience for both our children - each is very different, and yet CWM has found a way to customize their approach to both. I have appreciated the balance of rigor, and setting high expectations for the kids, while truly focusing on what works for each child individually. Ms. Meggie herself is always thinking about what next innovation to bring into the community such as summer immersion trips. But/and her staff and leadership are superb as well. Highly recommended - were almost 6 years in to the experience.
