Im a student there and I honestly love it! Whoever says that this school doesnt prepare you for the future, I am sorry but maybe if you had put a little more effort into your education, you wouldnt be saying the same thing. I know Travis graduates that have been accepted into Yale, Duke, Ride, Stanford, and many others which trust me, is no easy task. It is all on you, YOUR education should not be anybody elses responsibility.Once a Rebel, Always a Rebel :)

Its been the best memories I ever had! !! Yea its a bit smaller but man teachers are great, students are great, the coaches are great, the student groups are so involved with the community and thats what this school is building strong leaders and everyone wants to go by how many students go here and school rank and all this other stuff. The school has gotten way better since Davidson has taken over. And Im glad I got to notice it my last two years when I was there. I graduated from here and Im successful. Because I put my self into getting ahead and achieving my goal of being a chef. Look all these negative comments need to be deleted because some of it isnt true. And they are putting down travis high. Like its a bad school which it isnt. Every school is the same. Its just the student body that spells it out for everyone if they are dedicated to get ahead or not. #classof2012

This school is really nice for the age that it is now Ive only been there for a short time because I had a basketball game there, but interestingly my grandparents went there long long ago and I personally liked there name Rebels and my grandparents from the class of 1964 were happy to hear that they never changed the name of the school.

Please do not send your children to Travis. If you have hopes and dreams for them this is not the place. The school barely met the accreditation standards. Not to mention it is not academically acceptable and the administration is too busy trying not to lose their jobs that they dont give the students or teachers what they need. If you want success for your student choose Bowie, McCallum, Anderson, LASA, Ann Richards and steer clear of Travis. The bright lights that used to be at Travis are quickly being distinguished. There is still hope for your children, but you have to get them to a school that will challenge them for the rigors of the real world. All Travis is preparing them for is the ladder at a fast food chain.

This is the school you send your underachieving children to from other schools to restore rank and get into schools. Being in the top ten% at travis is like being in the top 35% at other schools. This school does not prepare students for college though, as someone else stated, but it isnt a bad place. If you taught your kids how to act theyll be okay.

LOL I went there for almost 2 years & hated it . If youre mexican or black , stay away from Ms. Roberts. She was always picking on me since my freshman year , as well as a few other colored students . She finally quit when she saw Im not JUST mexican , my white dad came in one day to dis-enroll me & she asked if he was my REAL dad . like wtf. I love the security though , Carmona & Marco are the best , they know kids will be kids & arent out to get us all . As teachers go , the theatre art teacher was rude, annoying , & not understanding . The school in general is really ghetto. lots of fights , & people try starting problems for no reason there .
