Wonderful experience and amazing people. Our wranglers were 2 ladies that helped guide our group of 6 through the preserve for more than an hour. We had riders from 7 years old to 65 with little or no experience. The horses were relaxed and super easy. We were taught how to give the horses direction but I’m sure they knew the way. My daughter is hoping I will send her for horse riding camp so she can ride Tex again! The ranch is quite close to downtown Austin. Great fun for a visiting family.

Excellent experience no matter what skill level. The grounds and horses were well maintained and the wrangler was pleasant and knowledgeable. The trail ride was a nice leisurely pace with beautiful scenery.

Great experience from beginning to end! Our wrangler, Brittany, was excellent. She was very supportive and considerate to those of us nervous and needing extra guidance. The horses were beautiful, and was great to get to see their individual personalities and learning about them from Brittany. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Austin and wanting to get out of the city for a few hours to see rural trails with gorgeous wildlife- best part was crossing the river on horseback!

Our family enjoyed a gorgeous 1.5 hour trail ride last Friday. I cannot recommend Lone Star Ranch enough!!! Madison was our guide and she was so kind, professional and knowledgeable! She even managed to snap pics of the four of us enjoying our ride. The horses are well cared for and wonderful with kids. Lone Star offers camps too!!! Cant wait for our next ride. Definitely check them out. Who knew this incredible gem is located right here in Austin!!!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The booking process was seamless. We booked a 10am ride which was great for missing the very hot weather. The property grounds were decent and the trails were beautiful. The ranch is very scenic with open terrain, intimate trails, lush greenery and running creeks. The entire experience was just what we wanted and more, but what truly set this adventure above all other, is the genuine hospitality of our guide Madison. Madison made us feel very special and ensured that our experience was one we will never forget!

I took my wife on the trail ride for her birthday and it was AMAZING! The booking process was seamless, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our guide and ranch-hand Annabelle was a great teacher and so awesome and friendly. I’m definitely going to come back!!

Absolutely fell in love with this place. My kiddos needed to get out of the house after being cooped up with COVID quarantine for the past few weeks. I was a little concerned but Lone Star made us feel so safe and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience. So much so my kids now want me to buy the horses they rode today 🤣. We did the buckaroo package and the kids loved it. Great experience, amazing facility, rescue horses and amazing staff that truly care about their animals. Definitely will be going back! 💕

Had a great time doing a trail horseback ride with our guide Madison at Lone Star Ranch. We felt safe and it was a fun outdoor activity to do during social distancing. Would recommend!

Awesome place to go horse back riding! They were able to accommodate a same day appointment and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! The horses are also well taken care of and well trained. Beautiful and fun ride!

I did a trail ride with 5 of my friends this past week with Chloe and Abi as our guides who were both fantastic. I have never ridden a horse and they made me feel so comfortable! The trail was beautiful and guides were knowledgeable about the area. We went back the next day for skeet shooting which is great for any level of experience. All of the staff at Lone Star Ranch were friendly and welcoming to us as we came all the way from Massachusetts. I highly suggest this ranch to anyone looking for a great relaxing time!!

I highly recommend this place if youre in the Austin area and want to get a taste of the ranching lifestyle! The staff was very professional and courteous. They were very welcoming, and made me feel like part of the family ranch!Ive worked on ranches before as a hand/cowboy and can tell you that these folks know there way around horses. Not only that, but it felt like I was back home on the ranch as we rode through the wilderness. This is something you must do, especially if you never experienced the ranching lifestyle!

I really enjoyed my trail ride with Lone Star Ranch. They make you feel so welcome, even if your a new rider. Such a judgement free zone for new riders. They have beautiful horses that are very well taken care of. A well organized and beautiful ranch as well! I rode with Annabelle who was an amazing wrangler. She was very knowledgeable and also charismatic! The trails are safe and peaceful and clean! It’s a fun staff and their super kind and well mannered. Their very good at communicating with you about your trail ride etc. and are also very flexible. All in all this was a great place to go to especially for a first time experience. I would recommend anyone to go here for an awesome trail ride experience!

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Austin and we discovered Lone Star Ranch. This Ranch was just 15 minutes from the city! We had the best experience horseback riding with our guide Andrea. She was personable and outgoing and made us feel so comfortable as we were only beginners. The staff was friendly and the scenery was beautiful. We definitely recommend Lone Star Ranch for anyone visiting Austin!

Had a chance to stop by the property, Jessica and our guide Taylor were fantastic! Very accommodating especially considering last minute arrangements, did a little skeet shooting and a tour around the ranch, would definitely come back to try out the horseback trail rides. Thanks guys!

If you are looking for a place to plan your next corporate event then this is the place. We had so much fun with the ATV rides, Horseback riding. The food was great as well. Ready to book again next year.

My girlfriend’s Mom got us tickets to come do a casual trail ride with Texas Trail Rides & it couldn’t have been any better. Annabelle was our leader and was so down to Earth during the trip while staying completely professional with her instructions to maintain control of our horses. She was so passionate about her job with Lone Star and TTR because they take really good care of all their animals & have such lush & fun land to explore. Highly recommended. We set up our session on May 2nd 2020 our wrangler Madison took time to explain and get to know our horses to insure we had a great ride. We felt very safe and the health precautions ranch takes were outstanding. Support the ranch Yaall!

I Highly recommend this place went horseback riding my husband and I, Had a wonderful time we enjoyed playing with the cats Goats and donkeys so friendly the Trial’s with great view shot out to Ariel she is very friendly she Answers all your questions such a great lady will definitely coming back again.

Excellent place for the true Texas experience! My friends and I took a week trip to Austin and we hoped to get out of the city and experience some farmland and horseback riding. Lone Star ranch was accommodating to all of our needs and provided us with a beautiful trail ride on calm horses, as many of us had never ridden before! The guides were friendly and helpful, and the land was gorgeous. Highly recommmend.

My husband and daughter enjoyed their trail ride but unfortunately, there was a HUGE communication breakdown. The Buck-a-Roo package was a very over priced experience for our 3 year old and I was charged too for sitting on the bleachers. Please make sure that everyone understands what you will be charged for so that you can proactively ask for a horse. When we confronted the team, they offered nothing in response besides they felt they had asked me. I was charged $85 for sitting. $170 for a 20 minute pony ride had us feeling defeated about this fun experience. Beautiful Ranch, but not a good feeling when it was over. Bummer!
