My boys and I love this place. Its clean, quiet and everyone is so nice and literally always smiling which is cool. They are amazing with my 8yo and super patient with my 4yo (different classes). Highly recommend!

I must say, this is my first experience in putting my child in an out-of-school activity and it has been extremely pleasant. For the moment we walked in we felt a great energy. We were welcomed comfortably. And the first class was even free to make sure that we liked it before paying. Since starting, my daughter who is five, has become more agile, she is more balanced and she listens better than before. I can even see more of her ab muscles now! This facility also looks newly remodeled and very up to date and clean. I will definitely continue letting my daughter participate in ju-jitsu here.

I am visiting from out of town and ended up training here for a full week. Marcus, Marco, and their students are warm and welcoming. I was happy to see teens and women in the class, too. Their teaching style is methodical with lots of reps vs. an overload of info. Its a great learning environment - Id train here full time if I lived in the area. A++ would recommend.

Its a great place to come and learn new techniques. The coaches and and master are always friendly with new comers and add the right amount of pressure to the oldest students making sure that no one is left behind. They are very friendly with children and all their classes are exceptionally well taught. The children are always smiling and having fun while the adults learn new things, whether it be small details to help improve or new techniques.

Jiu Jitsu is the inspiration from the first training. In search of a suitable sport, I came with my friend just for fun. By the way, the first lesson is free. I realized very quickly what can be better for a young and beautiful girl as the ability to stand up for herself in the dangerous situation and not become a victim of circumstances. Jiu-Jitsu is designed to destroy the enemy, as quickly as possible and with the minimum cost of its forces. This is truly a real battle system !!!I am lucky with the team, including the guys who study there. This is much more than a sport. Being in a foreign country I can say that here with them I feel the security and development of my personality. Now I study with my daughter. She is 15 years. Teens are the most aggressive. Now I am calm, knowing that in six months my daughter will be able to protect herself or someone else, not only with girls, but also with a man. If you learn from a good master ,then in a street fight you are almost invulnerable. Moreover, the preparation of a fighter is not only from the teacher, but also each student. This gym is amazing. Ive been to various bjj gyms in Brazil and here in the US and Mestre Marcus is legit bjj lineage. That is usually one of the issues with gyms where the instructors dont ever provide what path theyve walked in the art, not Mestre Marcus. The welcoming and respectful environment is great and so important for the learning process from children to adults. Highly recommend it.

Excellent Brazilian Jui Jitsu school with really competent and knowledgeable instructor who give you the care and attention needed as a beginner. There is also a focus on self defense with real world situations. The sensei Marcus Aurelio also likes to incorporate stories of how the lesson he is teaching helped him as a pro fighter - he has a lot of great stories!Adult fundamental classes are at 7pm with students of all ages groups. People in their 20s to 50sI really enjoy being a student here.

I have been training with Master Marcus for two months so far and it has been an unbelievable experience. Marcus Aurelio is a living legend in the world of BJJ and MMA. More importantly, he is a true martial artist, and his academy reflects that ideal. My wife and I travel from Connecticut to train with him, when we are able, and its well worth the trip! If you are in (or out) of the North Miami area... and you have the opportunity to train with Professor Marcus, I highly recommend doing so. Hes a really fantastic teacher and a wonderful person.

I was very much doubtful of whether the Academy was a genuine place to not only just teach the sport but as a student,, truly embrace it. Ive grown in the academy; to win from losses, recognize moments between the edge of defeat and be humble or overcome the very limits we think we have, do not give your back to your opponents (or conflicts in life) because they will finish you. Doubting Mr. Marcuss knowledge was my first mistake !

Ive trained BJJ for a couple years now in various cities (Miami, Houston, and a small city in Brazil) - Master Marcus puts a lot of thought and planning into how each class can best benefit the students that attend. Even though he teaches in a group setting (he offers privates also) it almost feels like a specialized private lesson because he keeps a close eye on each student as they progress - you wont find this teaching style at a large academy.Not to mention he has competed at some of the highest levels in MMA and shares priceless stories/experiences/ strategies ;)5 stars can not recommend enough.

Been practicing here since may 2018. I used to practice japanese jujutsu (traditional) before I moved to south florida, but I always wanted to develop techniques on the floor. I visited couple of academies around, this is the one I liked the most out of 4 I visited. Their program is well developed for people that have no background on martial arts, the coaches are great and the same Marcus Aurelio train and participate on the classes.

This is by far the best Brazilian Jiu-jitsu school in South florida, its low key and gets tons of business from word of mouth so you wont see them begging for customers on TV commercials. I came here with a black belt in Shotokan karate and felt like I spent the last few years doing ballet after 1 private class. Master Marcus raised my stamina level tremendously and has been teaching me practical self defense techniques through a customized MMA and BJJ program. This school doesnt just teach you how to beat an average guy as most other schools teach, but teaches you to beat people who are well above average. Hes a former UFC Pride Champion with multiple belts and is the real deal. Ive been doing privates for over 2 years now and hes put me in the best shape of my life. I was going to the gym doing traditional resistance and cardio training and would walk by the BJJ academy of Master Marcus Aurelio. Being 53 years old at the time I was hesitant to try BJJ but was always interested until they invited me and offered a free class. Now, almost 2 years into it, im hooked! Ive only attended two jiu-jitsu academies, but Ive found a huge difference between the two experiences. The academy I attended during the school year was good, but it doesnt compare to Master Marcuss classes. While the other place was larger, the classes were more impersonal and not as physically intensive. Master Marcus makes perfect use of the space he has by creating small, personal classes which he supervises himself. I found out about him after my brother enrolled in his academy to train for mma and bjj. Out of curiosity I Youtubed his name to see if I could find any of his previous matches. I was blown away after seeing his match with Takanori Gomi at Pride Bushido. Ive come back every summer since!
