We have trained at Uhuru for several years now, he has elevated my daughters game and she recently made a higher level team (ECRL) thanks to our training sessions with Winston. Would 100% do it all again for such great training and guidance.

I have two daughters who train here. The only trainer who works on the technical, tactical and mental. Both daughters are playing ECNL and Winston has been an integral part of their success.

Winston is awesome. He really trailers training to the person. He works on more than just soccer skills with my daughter. He works in confidence, growth as a person, and patience. The training is very goal oriented. Winston often comes to the games to assess if my daughter is transferring her skills from practice to real game situations. Winston has great communication and collaboration with parents and coaches.

Uhuru is a fantastic addition to your child’s soccer education. Winston and his team have coached our daughter for years and it’s not just about her soccer skills. They coach to the entire athlete working on footwork, speed, confidence, stamina. They teach your child to be a smarter player and incorporate the important visual part of soccer, knowing where to pass, when to break, etc. Our daughter’s game has improved tremendously with the additional training. Coach Winston has been working with Diego for the past year. It’s been a great experience for our son , who enjoys his training sessions!!! Winston Jacobs is a fantastic coach! He fully evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, and unique potential of each athlete and develops them as an individual. They ensure their students not only understand the fundamentals needed to be an elite athlete, but they also teach them to visualize gametime situations, which is a skill that is often overlooked. All in a safe but very competitive environment. You will receive 1:1 training on the highest level. What you practice is what you will experience during every game that you play and you will do it instinctively after working with Uhuru football academy. An additional bonus is that you will be working alongside the top athletes in Arizona and you never know who might show up at practice. In one session the goalies from an esteemed men’s national team showed up and worked with our girls teaching them the tips and tricks of the art of the penalty kick. Winston has been working with both of my girls for the past year. He takes the time to watch them play and speak to their coaches to understand the areas that they need improvement on. Uhuru Football Academy, Uhuru, is an amazing non-profit organization that is giving hope and aspiration to the youth. In the United States, not only does Uhurus Elite Training give youth soccer players an advantage and edge over other youth soccer players, but it allows for them to be well-rounded individuals and how fortunate they are. Uhuru is also giving hope to youth soccer players in Liberia and Cameroon because they know that if they are willing to put in the work in their schooling AND soccer skills, it will be rewarded with a non-profit organization doing everything in its power to give them the best future they wish for. My daughter plays for one of the ECNL teams here in Phx. Before she started training with Winston, she was lacking confidence, and belief in herself. What Winston has done with her over the last 4 months, both technically and emotionally, has not only been an inspiration to watch. He doesnt just care for the girls as athletes, but as young women. She looks up to him as a mentor, a trainer, and a coach and the way he gets through to her allows her to flourish in ways that I truly questioned she was able to. I cant thank him and the academy enough for what theyve done.

Mr. Winston is an excellent coach. He regularly attends my sons games and tailors his subsequent practices to help him build on the weaknesses that are identified. The practices are instructional, intense, focused, and driven toward a purpose. My sons confidence on the field has grown leaps and bounds since we met Mr. Winston 5 months ago. I am a hands on kind of parent, but I dont know soccer. I trust Mr. Winston to guide my sons athletic development in ways that I am not equiped. I cant wait to see what the next year has in store.
