Great school, AMAZING instructors and staff, my tip is stay out of chs. If you come to school prepared with a willingness to learn, and with motivation then you will learn lots of amazing things. If you dont, and are just in your phone all the time you wont learn jack $#!t and are also just wasting your time and money. You get out of it what you put into it but definitely a great investment into your future!

The way staff treats the students is a joke ,should be more hands on and actually hiring professors that are willing to teach , you guys should treat the students with more respect not letting students with a sweatshirt under their uti shirt if you guys are going to be having them in cold classrooms it should be allowed but to go as far as to kick them out a class is extremely unprofessional and says a lot about this school . A waste of time and money. Youre better off going straight into the field than going into debt for it. Dont even waste your time trying to communicate with them. They wont answer your emails or call you back. UTI was nothing but a bunch of empty promises for me. Once I graduated I even had to try and get a hold of them for my diploma and it took about 4 months for me to receive it.

You can come in to this school knowing nothing but some Youtube videos information to becoming self reliant on the skills acquired through the 3 weeks classes on every area of the car. Everyday is an exciting day in learning new material about the inner workings of the vehicle and how you can diagnose the vehicle to make the right repair. Would recommend anyone to come in to take a tour and talk to the staff about why this is the school for them.

Over all it was a good experience. It is definitely focused on people who come into the school not knowing much about cars compared to someone just wanting additional information. The grading system is not the best, making the classes in my opinion too easy to pass, an d this is coming from someone who knew nothing about cars coming in to the school and felt completely lost through the first couple of classes. If going to this school I would recommend going into an MSAT program rather than just going through the core program because the information you receive from them is 10 times better than core. Specifically all the electrical training they provide.

This is a very good trade school and I am glad to have been able to be here. Through my time here at the Avondale campus it was a struggle to stay motivated through the automotive program. A majority of the instructors just didnt seem motivated themselves. There was a major difference going into to the diesel program because the instructors were a lot more interactive with labs and in the classroom. There were only a handful of instructors who actually seemed to care about the students and the courses they taught. The instructors who actually helped and made a difference were also the teachers who keep up themselves up to-date-on the latest technology although we do not actually use the most up-to-date technology. Learning with the few great instructors I had and the friends I have made here are what really made it better for me.

The Welding program is really good and able to teach someone with no knowledge/skill and graduate you with all you need to be accomplished within the field. The Employment Service Department (mainly Susannah Wiles) is great and is willing to seek out answers she doesnt know. This school is good for people who have zero technical knowledge in the automotive or diesel field, however its overpriced and the curriculum is mostly outdated. Most of the things you learn here cant be applied in the field anymore and you would be better of interning at a shop to get real hands on experience. Staff is good for the most part other than a few instructors who obviously gave up on teaching or providing any actual insight to what you are supposed to be learning. I will say that the Ford program is amazing with fantastic instructors who actually want to see you succeed and are always willing to help. As for the facilities, the vending machines are constantly not working or eating your money and the atms are never up, and if you need utensils they are never stocked. Overall, you are better off looking for a cheaper school or go straight to the field for real experience.

If you have any mechanical knowledge prior to attending this school youre better off finding a shop and just start working or apprenticing there. The school is great for new people to the field who dont have any prior knowledge or experience. If you have any prior experience or knowledge this school will slow paced. There is a lot of down time during class hours. There are a ton of online assignments you have to complete per class. It just seems like the school holds you back if youre not a newbie. However this school will give you an Associates of Occupational Sciences, if you choose the correct program, which will help find you a great career that is requiring some sort of education/degree.

It was a great experience, I felt like the core classes were a little too easy and the labs were very basic. I wish the labs would have been more realistic, instead of having a whole bunch of obvious test points to where the students didnt really have to work to diagnose anything. Other than the labs being unrealistic they give a lot of useful information. This school is way too overpriced and overhyped. Reasoning is because you get a pretty much useless associates and not the experience you want. Everything in lab is not what you expect and they teach very old things on old machines. For being a school getting aprox. 40k each student and teaching you on 90s vehicles. Most of the equipment barely works too. Pretty disappointed of the experience. Most of the instructors barely even cared and was very obvious they had favorites... starting with PP3 instructor. Never cared to help when I asked questions and would just talk about civics with another student who wasnt even part of the class (Campbell). I hate to put names out there but this time here was a waste of my time when I never got the help i asked for. Thanks to Jackie and Aurora who were the only two who actually helped me.

Without a doubt the WORST professionalism I have experienced. I was interested in attending this school for the welding program. After a few conversations with my veterans counselor, I had scheduled a follow up call to finalize my registration. The day of the call, some unforseen circumstances arose and I was unable to accept that call. The veterans counselor, proceeded to leave a less than professional message on my phone as well as sent a rather rude text message. To his credit, he did try and send another message to soften his unprofessional demeanor, but the damage had already been done. Fast forward to a month later. I go into the school to, again, start the registration process. The woman at the front desk was courteous and professional and assured me that someone would contact me by the close of business. 2 days have come and gone with no contact from the school. How can you claim to be military friendly and brag about how well you take care of veterans? Just another for profit, VA benefit grabbing school. You should be ashamed.

I am alumni student of UTI returning to attend the new Welding program. My expectations from my past experiences attending the auto/Diesel/FORD program have fell way short of training and opportunities afforded to the welding students. Class curriculum needs to be revamped a lot of info focused on the Lincoln brand and not actual industry need to know. The lab projects need to be more focused on industry needs and more challenging like the capstone labs that made me work harder to produce a quality project. I understand its a new program but fell way short of all i was told by the recruiters who are not relaying the truth about the program. I took the time to relay all my concerns and complaints to many to the faculty and some changes have started to be made but the program has a long way to go to be on par with the rest of the UTI programs.
