My son attended this program from the age of 3 until he was 6 and we loved it!! Everyone there was so friendly and actually cared about my son. I would recommend this place for any child needing a little help learning to socialize and communicate! I couldn’t imagine not using this program. VAC was there for my family when we needed help the most and I am grateful for all of their employees!

My son has been attending vac since he was 3 years old, he was non verbal, after 6 months he was able to speak, it was like he figured out how to get it out. It was amazing to see him talking, I believe vac helped my son learn how to communicate and I am so thankful for that. My son is now 10 years old and still attends vac and he continues to overcome so many challenges that his autism has thrown at him, with the help of the wonderful team at vac. I work with special needs and programs and I know that vac is a good one! Thank you to all the people at vac helping me and my son through this journey.

I went to the job fair they posted. I got the interview and orientation. Ive told them since the beginning and also was on my application that i only had 3 units of child development. Someone in charge called me for my first day to start working and told me my work schedule for the week all to end it with im sorry will give you a call back after telling them once again that i only had 3 units and never heard back from them again! So not professional! Amd waste of time for nothing.

This place is so stupid. They force you to do stupid stuff, like go around the stupid building and asking teachers for items, and miss out on activities. This is indeed the WORST autism program out there. If your child has autism, dont take him/her there. Take him/her to another program. I wish I could rate this zero star, but I had to rate this one star.

My daughter has been there several years and the employees have mostly been professional. When there have been issues, they are promptly addressed. They stopped having monthly training for staff and that has affected the program. Also the sheer number of children in need of services means a wait list. Despite the problems above they are serving the Bakersfield community very well.
