I went through a personal situation with my child who attends this school that required immediate assistance. The principle and staff reached out to me after hours and went way beyond expectations. Id recommend the school just for the staff anytime. They truly do care about their students.

There are always pros and cons to every business aspect. I feel as though ever since my children starting going to this school from Leith Walk Elementary their academics certainly experienced a DECLINE. I am well aware that this school does not have enough staff, resources and programs to help children with the areas that they struggle with. I have met some wonderful staff members, some on the IEP board mostly, and 2 teachers i think are great. Surprisingly, the only people at the school that deemed great disappointments were the principal and vice principal. I expect teachers are not always going to be accommodating, but for its head to be otherwise is not so good. Recently a situation occurred in which something private about my family was talked about and initiated by the principal herself to a emergency contact that was just there to pick up my child. Something that should have not happened but will be addressed with the Baltimore City Schools board. The community does a lot to help with some events as well as some of the staff churches involvement. I still believe its not enough to help these kids that are struggling. Also they tend to be biased and flourish some kids they deemed to be scholars and focus all of their attention on these and these alone only. I moved into the Cherry hill area, and I believe this school treats the people and the area as if everybody is hood and dont care about their children or themselves. Very disappointing experience even my children complain to me about. I dont want to base my review on all of my bad experiences there, but I do want to be honest to whomever reads this and make other provisions to ensure their child/childrens are getting the best concerning their studies. I hope that Baltimore City can address this. I doubt they will.
