Johnston Square Elementary School has turned around in the past two years under the new principal. The school now has a great afterschool through the YMCA which my child is apart of. The school is clean and inviting. The children are in class and the staff is really polite and friendly. I would defintely recommend checking the school out if you live in the area.

My name is lanayi and i was at that school for 2 years and it was not good at all and when i say it was not good i had this one teacher that i love the most and his name was ms.lee and ms.beard and ms.rilly and they was the most good teachers and the stef was not nice so now i am at this county school and the name is not this school but if u would like to but your kid in the school i am at just say something on here and i will tell u if they is letting more kids into the school it have to be at least 330 kids in the school so if it is not 330 kids in the school then i will tet yall know ok i know that is alit to much but yeah and that school have not changed a bet.

I attended JSE way back in the early 1970s beginning with 1/2-day kindergarten thru 6th grade. I remember some of my favorite teachers to include: Mrs. Swan & Mrs. Ball (Kindergarten), Mrs. Norma Scott (4th grade - I think), Helen Hebron (2nd Grade) & Mr. Woodhouse (6th grade). We would get out 1/2 day every Friday, go accross the street - up on the hill to The Square & play ball. There was a store (Ms. Emmas) on the Valley/Chase corner where Ms. Emma would sometimes give us a piece of candy if we got good grades and were good in school. Those were some good days!

This school is awsome im 9 and iwent to the school we alwys used to do fun activities

Plz dont send your child here if they are real educated because the kids are just going to bully them an the staff here arent going to take action far ask setting a meeting with the kids parent if your child attends here teach them how to fight also the school will try to cover they mess they doing sum weeks ago my child came home with bruise on her arm from the man who worked at a temp agency at the school the day I transfer my child from out of the school the man came to meet me in the office to laugh in my face which he thought was funny this school needs to be close if I was in my younger days I would beat everybody in the office at the school i trying to do it the right way buy going to the school board my child attend a new school an she like it
