Our experience has been great. My daughter has been attending for 5 years, when she was first enrolled and we realized she was not being challenged enough there was effort made to get her into the proper level of classes and she has since thrived. It can be a lot of work, your student has to be motivated to stay on track and it is a lot of hands on for the parent, but it is the type of hands on you would not get in a traditional setting and for our family we have loved this. I like being able to dive into a subject or an assignment she is struggling with and really making sure she understands the topic. She has had great teachers who are always willing to take a call, answer an email or get into their online classroom and make sure she is on track and understanding. We will be proud to have her be a graduate of Pearson and I do feel like she will be more prepared for the independence of college courses than if she had attended a brick and mortar.

Middle School review:The other reviews are accurate. This learning model is VERY rigorous. Lots or reading and work in general. If you don’t have at least 6 hours to dedicate working in tandem with your child daily, this isn’t for you. You need to be able to explain and teach your child what they’re reading. I appreciate this being available this year, but there’s no way we’re doing this next year.

Both of my sons attended this school and graduated from high school in 2016 and 2018 when it was still named International Connections Academy. The quality of the program is incredible. Amazing lessons, attentive teachers, responsive administration, resourceful counselors, and dependable technology are just a few of the reasons why we loved this school. Students who enroll should be prepared to work because this is a rigorous curriculum! Hard workers should have no fear - the teachers are incredibly supportive and make it quite apparent that student success is a shared goal.

I dont recommend this school unless you are a stay at home parent with a lot of time. Unlike brick and mortar school it is very impersonal and only focus is on making sure your child is keeping up with their rigidly structured program. If you are late enroller its very frustrating to catch up and learn how to navigate their system. It is not user friendly. And the stress put on your kid is not healthy . So far we have only experienced frustration and stress with no time for anything else even working on the weekends and every spare moment .I gave 2 stars because it is fair to say that the text books are easy to understand however the instructional videos are very fast and hard to keep up.

Dont waste your time or money. This program is a sham and the customer service is absolutely worthless. We have spent weeks trying to get someone to help us with issues with no resolve. The scheduler is impossible to use and every day you are bombarded with 2 dozen emails. My kids were learning things they learned a year ago at their old school. Complete waste.

Awesome school, my son is 13 years old and has been attending this academy for nearly 4 years. The academy prepares students for college from day one. Local schools only teach and prepare students for state exams. This academy is not for just any student. It’s tough at first because it’s a lot of work. But I can say this, If the student is open to learning more that what is provided in local schools this academy is well suited for him or her. My son is an 8 grader taking 9 grade GT classes. Students are from all over the country and overseas. They have one one with teachers and can interact with students. It’s a great investment.

Save your money. The program may be great but you get no support. Everything is set up for the public school. When your kids struggle teachers are only available on their schedule. You are completely left out on your own. My straight A kids are both failing and I cant even get help to see what they are doing wrong. Regret this immensely.

International Connections Academy has been a phenomenal school. I have thoroughly enjoyed every year I have spent here. Aside, from the education and system being great, the teachers are amazing. There are a few teachers that have really stood out for me- some of which who have had major impacts on my life and what my future will be. The teachers work to help students and make sure that you understand what you are learning, but more than anything else, these teachers are inspiring. They have inspired my love of science and mathematics. Thus, I find it that International Connections Academy is a truly amazing school.

International Connections Academy is a wonderful online school. The admissions team and counselors made it an easy transition from public school. They were available to answer all of my questions and concerns. My daughter has enjoyed the numerous courses offered along with the core classes. Her classes are challenging and engaging with great teachers that instruct with live lessons, offer feedback on assignments, and are available for tutoring when needed. As a parent, I can view all her work and feedback as well. There are plenty of organizations and clubs to participate in. Enrolling has been a great decision for our daughter!

A wonderful school with great teachers! Ive been a student here for a couple years now and everything has been fantastic. Everyone is super helpful and I get the chance to meet other kids my age across the world. Of course we might be able to meet face to face, but I still have made a couple great friends who I cherish. :)

Im about to graduate after coming here for 3 years and I absolutely loved the experience! North Carolina has its own, public Connections Academy, but it doesnt have my grade so I came here instead. The way the system is set up allows students to work at their own pace, with parents signing off on lessons theyve completed. This, paired with recorded lectures for the classes, allows for a flexible schedule if the student trains, competes, or travels during the day. The teachers are extremely helpful and friendly and are willing to meet and supply help similar to what one would get in a brick and mortar school, especially if the student works to foster a relationship with them. There are tons of clubs and activities students can engage in as well. I was in the Science and English National Honors Societies and participated in multiple fundraisers and events, such as Earth Day and Poetry Week.If a student is engaged and mostly independent, I would definitely recommend iNaCa!

Ive been enrolled in International Connections Academy for a little over a year now. The teachers are amazing, and present you with many different opportunities. When I transitioned from my local public school in Illinois, the staff and teachers helped me every step of the way. I would definitely recommend International Connections Academy to anyone!

I am in 12th grade here at INACA, and I have been enrolled in the online school for the past four years. I have had a fantastic high school career and I feel fully prepared for college. The teachers are caring and encourage creativity. They are fully invested in ensuring success for their students, and are very hands on in the teaching process. The course load is demanding but very rewarding. We also have many opportunities to interact with other students, and we have fantastic clubs and honors chapters that look very impressive on college applications. Im very grateful for my HS experience and I would recommend this school to anyone searching for a safe and inspiring learning environment.

Have 4 students with International Connections Academy. Love the access to the teachers, tutoring and administration. Tuition is affordable. Curriculum is outstanding. Teachers care and teach. Personal acountability is high; great for parents that want to help their kids further develop character and being responsible. At first I did not think I could do it, however its fun and I enjoy being actively involved in their education. They know their grades every day and teacher feedback is clear and encouraging. My favorite aspect is the freedom to travel. As long as they have internet we are set.

I am a graduating senior at INaCA and have been here for 7 years. I live in South Louisiana, but I started this school because I moved to Brazil for 5 years. After we moved back home, I loved this school so much I stuck with it. I really love the curriculum of this school, it is challenging and prepares you for college at every grade level until you graduate. The teachers are amazing and so helpful, most of which I will never forget. The courses are amazing and there is so much variety for whatever you are interested in. It is very cool getting to know students and teachers from all around the world while participating in class. Not to mention our wonderful organizations, I am the current President of our Science National Honor Society and a member of our National English Honor Society. We do so much fun activeties and events within the school, so it isnt all work and no play. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone!

I am an educator and parent of two children who have attended and excelled at INACA. The curriculum is robust and is designed to hone the critical thinking skills of students. INACA has a suite of support services for students and an excellent continuous assessment methodology all leveraged by an exceptional technology proprietary platform. It is an excellent school.

Perfect fit if you need a flexible schedule, challenging classes and customized learning! My son is in his 4th year now and will be back for his 5th (and final because he will be graduating). The people giving 1 star must be talking about a different school because no way it is the same one that my son attends!

NEVER GO TO THIS SCHOOL, please go to penn foster or something. Kelly Dill does not care, the school itself cost like 3,000$ for 2 semesters and 300+ for every summer school class, this has been my worst experience, we paid 3000$ for me to only have 2 credits. 2 CREDITS, they will do you wrong and MS. dill will tell you that you can work over but then itll be a problem later on.

An expensive reminder of why we left public school. The curriculum is designed for brick and mortar schools. Son is supposed to do a science lesson involving his classmates that is part of his grade. Questions in the LA curriculum are not updated at the same rate as the text book. The LA program is so repetitive it is painful. Also, it seems that the gifted classes are just more busy work instead of the promised grade level ahead.

My son has a brain tumor so this seemed like a great option. I have loved all the teachers for my 7th grade son as well as my 10th grade student. However, there is a fine line where Connections academy needs to be held accountable. We were on a tuition plan to pay monthly. We started late in the semester and used Stanley Emerson and his “boss” Shelby Webster. I’m embarrassed for both of them. Stanley Emerson deals with the accounting side of things and needs to take a few math classes. He’s also full of pure hate and it’s rubbing off onto me! Seriously, his negativity has me so negative I literally have to calm myself down. I’m so disappointed in our world of teaching children when people like Stanley Emerson and Shelby Webster are so cruel. The just of the story is...Stanley called during school hours (I didn’t answer because I was helping my son with school) and demanded I pay tuition “or else” within one hour of the voicemail. Guess what happened? Stanley Emerson disables both of my children’s account. So we missed 3 days of school over $253.00 that we were not even “late” on. The worst part (besides the stacked up lessons and homework and routine gone) is the way Stanley Emerson from Connections Academy laughed at the fact we could not get into our accounts. Real funny Stanley. So what do we do as parents? We find out who his “boss” is which we are given Shelby and request a conference call. I have never in my life listened to an employee (Stanley Emerson) speak over not only my husband and myself, but over Shelby to. If I were Shelby I would have fired him on the spot. I certainly do not speak to my superiors like that, so what’s the deal connections academy? It’s ok for you to have amazing professional teachers but your “Accounting” department is full of HS drop outs? We discussed our tuition be paid every month on the 15th. Shelby’s suggested we do a wire transfer and sent my husband papers. Guess what? Stanley had the nerve to call my phone yesterday (uh..take him out of the equation) and went to do school work this morning and my account is disabled. I called Stanley Emerson and he said Shelby disabled our accounts. This connections Academy is wasting my time, I feel as though anyone to do with tuition is incompetent and useless. I will not stop until the BBB and the department of Education, tuition/accounting records are fully investigated. Along with background checks of these employees.NO FOR CONNECTIONS ACADEMY! NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME THIS YEAR DUE TO STAFF.

We have always home schooled and this program is NOT recommended by us. It will take awhile before my kids like school again. Lots of discrepancies in lessons. Not worth the high price tag. I have a 5th and 8th grader this year and although they have B averages, they did not enjoy anything about this program- sadly.

INaCA is a high quality virtual school with many options, but it is not for everyone. This is my 2nd year at the school and I now feel that I have made a complete adjustment. iNaCA has provided me with flexibility to work ahead of schedule and also with classes at my level. In addition, I have been able to interact with students through microphone and chat. The best part of this school is the teachers. They care a lot about students and are willing to provide whatever you need. However, schooling online requires a certain amount of self regulation as well as strong self confidence to ensure that you will succeed. I am giving four stars because I feel that iNaCA is right for me and has several advantages over a brick and mortar school. Before iNaCA, I was already homeschooling so therefore the transition was smaller than it could have been. You should definitely make sure you are the right fit for a virtual school before you make a long-term commitment. One major benefit of iNaCA for me was the flexibility in selecting courses. iNaCA was very open for me and allowed me to place into courses as soon as I had finished previous ones without being restrictive as many other schools often do. Doing high school at iNaCA is almost like a college as you are required to pace yourself but it is definitely a challenge that I enjoy. If you do decide to enroll at iNaCA, make sure you reach out to your teachers if you need any help as this is really important to getting a good grade. In addition, get involved in the school community as much as you can if you want some of the interaction that is slightly more difficult to obtain in an online school.

We signed up for the summer school program because I didnt want to plunge into full-time schooling without trying it out. Im sure glad I tried before doing so!We did 3rd grade math. The website and emails were very wordy, cluttered, confusing, and difficult to navigate. The learning lecture was slow and full of filler, wasting our time. Then we tried the practice problems, and they were so wordy, confusing, and didnt even make sense! I have my masters degree from UNC Chapel Hill in statistics, so I know my math. The math problem did not make sense!I signed up for this program because I was trying to delegate the math teaching. I dont have the time to tutor my daughter myself, but now I will because this program is so shoddy.I requested a refund, as Im definitely not satisfied, and I have received no response. Any company who stands by their product would have a satisfaction guarantee. I should have been skeptical when we enrolled, but I really wanted to like this program so that I could have my daughter enrolled in their school full-time. Im very disappointed, and now with the lack of refund, it feels like a scam.
