Arbutus Martial Arts is a fantastic place to learn and grow. I started when I was 9, got my first-degree black belt at 12, second-degree black belt at 15. Im 25 now, and just started going back after moving away for college and coming back to the area. I have learned so much in my years there, not only how to protect myself, but how to be a better person. Maturity, respect, self control are taught from the beginning and I see so many people flourishing there.Not knowing whether you can protect yourself or not in an unforeseen circumstance is not a comforting feeling. I recommend everyone take self-defense classes, and Arbutus Martial Arts is one of the best, most reputable places you will find! Ive been to other schools and none of them are like AMA — this is a place where youre NOT another student, or another signed contract. This is a HOME. And a great one to be a part of!
