Usually i attend dojos or gyms and give it a few months before making a review. the art of karate was no exception. my first experience of the kickboxing class, middle age ladies and some more mature in age and so i thought, this cant be as hardcore as i expect. wow was i wrong. those ladies are stronger and more conditioned than i expected. There was no way i was keeping up with them. the first class had me drenched and feeling charged as i was taught to do proper kicks and punches mixed with calisthenics i never even attempted before. My flexibility went from sub- par to above average and my stamina has increased tremendously from this training. equipment is top end century wavemasters. the canvas is kept up and no tears. coach heidi is prepared and skilled at what she is teaching and will correct if you are doing a exercise improper to reduce chance of injury. She instructs with desire to help anyone on and off the mat. great place and great people and the price for the class is very reasonable. very pleased.

My son took karate here, earned a youth black belt — but he learned so much beyond the physical martial art... he learned confidence in speaking, how to look someone in the eye, self-respect and respect for others. This is not a “belt-factory”, it’s a fantastic school where you can get out MORE than you put in. Highly recommended!

Cannot say enough positive things about this place. I have been bringing my daughter here for the last two years and wont even consider going anywhere else! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to help their students. If youre looking into martial arts for your children or yourself, this place will not disappoint!!

They have the best kick boxing class out there! They don’t just make you workout but you learn techniques and proper forms. Amazing place!

The workout here is tough but rewarding and the instruction is great and clear to understand due to the awesome instructors. I cant recommend this place enough and the owners are awesome!

My kids love attending class at the art of karate. They are a gift to our girls life.

The Art Of Karate is the best Martial Arts Studio in the barberton area. Even in surrounding areas you cant find a better dojo to study Karate and Tae Kwon Do. Not only is it affordable but the quality of what is being taught is the best around.The Instructors and Black Belts here will treat you with respect and very quickly adopt you into the AOK family and that will never go away. Once youre in they will always be there for you.The classes are challenging yet they will push you to grow inside and out. You will learn from the basics and create a solid foundation to build on. If youre looking for a place either you or your kids to start gaining discipline and increase in physical health this is the best place to do it.So if youre looking for a martial arts studio Id highly recommend giving The Art Of Karate a chance I promise you it will be well worth it! I know they have changed my life for the better and inspired me to take on more challenges in life.
