A lot of the staff and teachers just shouldn’t be working in schools in the first place. They clearly don’t like children. The school is generally more focused on enforcing crazy rules than actually teaching. The PE program is just ridiculous for probably obvious reasons. The dress code is too strict. Lunchtime is awful because they make you stay in assigned seats and the lunch monitor especially is rude. it seemed to get a bit better in 8th grade with this kind of stuff. They do prepare you to learn more and they offer honors classes which I think is nice because you can get hs credits and separate yourself from certain kids. But I think they could go about things differently and maybe all the kids wouldn’t be miserable there.

To state it straight forward... amazing, never in the course of human history has any School been able to teach this good and prepare me for the next level. I would recommend any person living in Florida to go here. I have been to school here and my family will as well, each day is better than the last. Thank you for providing one of the best learning and school experiences ever. I would recommend going here. The staff were very nice and helpful I just wish I could stay longer if I didn’t have to move on to the next school. To say it again amazing.

Union Academy gets a bad reputation. Sure, the teachers are tough, and the homework is unbearable. The teachers may have a cold facade, but if you need something and you go to them with an honest opinion, they will talk to you. In 6th grade, I almost got a 4.0 GPA, but then my ELA teacher didnt put a grade so then it dropped. 8th is the best grade so far, and I really enjoy it. The teachers are funny and caring and they help you if you need something Please dont diss Union, in reality its actually a really good school. And dont go off first impressions, or someones opinion.

The school was a prison the teachers treated you like you didnt know what you were doing and you would get a lunch detention if you breathed in the wrong direction the only time that it is good is in the 8 th grade when the teachers treat you like a respectable human being

Stuck up staff! I thought this school was going to be great for my child but turns out I was wrong she went there for 6th and half of seventh, I wish I would have changed her schools a while ago because she’s so much happier now.

It is not a good school at all. It only gets good in 8th grade. You will get detention for talking across the table in the morning and at lunch. But the teachers in 6th and 7th are Like jail guards they get on you for everything.

This school is fantastic, the staff are kind, the teachers are funny and smart, and overall its a fantastic school that I loved going to.

Great school is they push you to be the best

This school is like jail. Most times you arent allowed to go to the bathroom. There is a wasp problem also. The office staff are snippy. I hated this school. People almost die at PE because the coaches are heartless. They dont let us get water sometimes. There is no time inbetween classes so you are pretty much always late for class. Although some teachers are cool, some of them are like satan. They stopped putting soap and paper towels in the bathrooms also. On jeans days (that cost $10) we were not aloud to wear skinny jeans or joggers even though thats all most of the students there own. I wassail placed in a Community and Service class that I did not ask for that I was not able to it out of where I had to complete a service project that other students in my grade didnt have to. The teachers also teach really fast and give alot of homework. Anyways this school is hell I dont reccomend it if you dont want your child to kill themself. The stress is crazy. One time, I missed a day of school and my A went down to a C on my progress report that came out the day I was back. So my parents thought I was slacking. Literally dont put your kids in this school. They act all nice and perfect when you go on a tour or at orientation but its not like that. The dress code is also ridiculously strict. Please dont make your child go through all that. Prepared for highschool they say but no one in high school likes Union kids because they are losers an get beat up and bullied. I promise its better to not go there and be a normal kid.
