The BBQ class was a birthday gift and I must say, it was the BEST birthday gift EVER!! It was so much fun & Chef Patin and the other chefs made the class so worth taking. I learned new techniques and got a recipe book that I’ll definitely be using! I always wanted to go to the Culinary Institute and this was the perfect opportunity to do that. The food was delicious and it was all first class! I recommend a leisure class to anyone that enjoys cooking!!

Our instructor Chef Jeanne made our class such a great experience. The class was very hands on and fun. Chef had no problem answering questions or helping with the finish product. Cooking a full meal and two desserts made it financially more than worth it.

I highly recommend the leisure classes at LCI. One of my friends and I did their Tuscany class. In 2.5 hours we learned to make gnocchi and a brown butter sauce from scratch, steak with a pan sauce, a fabulous focaccia bread and several other dishes. The teacher Jeanne Mancuso was fabulous. She would demonstrate how to do it and then you would do it. I enjoyed that I got actually learn each dish in a hands on way. Some places I have gone to only do teacher demonstrations or you just get to learn one dish and others do the rest…this really was the best. We also had two culinary students (Diamond and Ryan) as assistants and they were wonderful!!

Thanks Chef Patin and students...my favorite class so far. Chef Patin thoroughly explained the ingredients and variations, the basics of sausage stuffing, different smoking techniques, and various uses of our fresh and smoked sausages. We got to see several styles and sizes of smokers including those used at BRQ restaurant. Lastly, we made picked veggies to help finish items for a charcuterie board. Great class!

This is our second time doing one of the mini holiday workshops at the Louisiana Culinary Institute. Would 10/10 recommend! Both of my kiddos (10 & 7) had a blast. All of the staff members, from the ladies checking us in to the crew helping us with our creations, were super sweet and incredibly helpful. We will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at LA Culinary Institute, taking one of their leisure cooking classes. We attended the Dinner Club class. Came home with a ton of delicious food for my family. Alex Dunaway keeps the pace fast, but keeps it at a level where we all comprehend and are able to follow his instruction. Highly recommend and I will be back for more classes!

Not enough students that attended this school has enough courage to speak up on this money scamming school. From outside looking in you would think this would be the best school for someone with a culinary heart. This school is owned by a (hidden) racist family, who hand picked their staff of their equality. They have screwed a lot of students over and its sad and disgusting that some of the staff ( Chef and Administration) are aware and are too afraid to speak up and stand up for the students. Some have quit and went in different directions because of it and others are still their being apart of this plot. I would write a story on these scammers but no one would take the time to read. Trust me, TO ALL MY CULIANARIANS ,PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS SCHOOL. Through it all, I GRADUATED , I refused to let them run me from my DEGREE, like Ive witness them do others. MR. Dave aka Chef. Dave was disappointed because I passed my final exam .He wanted me to fail and to restart the program again which equals more money. Scammers... What kind of bull is that ?
