My 8th grade ELA teacher (Mr. Clifford) is awesome. He is really encouraging in each class and he has good ways of motivating us to participate in class. In his class at the very beginning he always gives us a gratitude slide, which I find really good because it helps give us a daily routine of practicing gratitude. Another reason I like Mr. Clifford is because he is patient, and he is also keeps the class from getting out of control by finding good ways to encourage and motivate us.

My son Trenton started LAVCA in the 9th grade and now hes in the 12th grade. He was very far behind but now hes right where he needs to be. If I wouldve known that Ive wouldve been registered him a long time ago. I would love to thank the staff for working with him. They have done such a wonderful job.

Alaric ColemanI just want to say a HUGEE THANK YOU to Coach Coleman. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. This teacher has made a huge difference in my understanding of things in the government and how things are. Before, I started this class I had so many questions and alot of confusion of the government period, because I have never really got into it much and never really understood it, but thanks to Coach Coleman he has helped me understand everything that I have always questioned and never got. He was always there when I needed anything whether it was for school or just someone simply to talk to. He has some great words of encouragement that has helped me to keep my head up and do better in life. I wish he was always my teacher tbh. I would refer him to anyone if they ever dont understand anything with the government or if they simply need someone to talk to. HE IS SO AMAZING, I WILL DEARLY MISS YOU!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH COACH COLEMAN!!♥♥ Also, the reason why I love this school is because the teachers are amazing and would do anything for you. I hope you this Coach and I hope it makes your day!!Yours Truly,Nevaeh Saltzman!!

I attended this school for 3 years of high school and ended up just getting an equivalency diploma senior year. This school is way too rigorous for subjects that are better taught in person, and most of the teachers are not helpful in the slightest. If you learn better independently, this school may be right for you. But for most, it may be too difficult. Lots of the answers to tests can be found on Google regardless of browser lock downs they require you to download. If you want authentic and fruitful non-traditional education, I suggest homeschooling or third party schools.

I have been trying to get my kids registered with k12 for 2 month. Trying to get a hold of anyone is exhausting and when you do get ahold of someone you get the run around. They want way too many documents in addition to school records that already have all the information they are requesting again separately. Don’t apply here- not worth the hassle. Oh and they don’t tell you upfront but once all your stuff is accepted there’s a “wait list” all for not.

I really like the program at LAVCA. They have a wonderful curriculum. The students attend live, teacher instructed classes daily. All of these classes are recorded, if youre not able to attend it live, you can view it later. My daughter and I love her teachers. The teachers and staff are professional and friendly. They are always available to help you when you need it. Louisiana Virtual Academy is a public virtual school. I wanted a school that my child could attend from home, that had a great curriculum with live instruction from certified teachers that I could be completely involved in. I found that structure and guidance at LAVCA.
