My grandson attends here and he really enjoys the instructors and he has met more friends. The instructors really keep the kids focused on what is being taught. The whole staff is great 😊

As a homeschool mom of an ASD boy with inattentive ADHD, it is hard to find physical activities that keep his attention and keep him active. . After basketball, baseball, and flag football... And various other extracurriculars ... He is excited and ASKS to go to classes with his coaches!! Sad truth of the matter is, there are bad people in the world that could easily take advantage of him. I am so glad I took the risk in signing him up for Jiu Jitsu. I honestly didnt know if he would take to the physicality. Coaches are all patient with him... Even when his attention wanes.

My niece came to visit me in June and since her school back home is virtual, asked to stay with me to help keep her on track. She is a high energy kid and needs a productive outlet. She is in the third grade and has had issues with bullies at school twice, one so bad she hates to have her picture taken because the kid made fun of her smile.I needed a place to take her that would burn up her energy and also make great use of her tenacity, kid has a stubborn streak a mile long like her Auntie. Enter Gracie United. We started with a weeks trial in August and she was hooked. She loves the energy in the class and I think the discipline that Coach Chef, Coach Piper, and the other coaches bring is benefiting my niece.There is a real positive energy in the room. All the coaches have been so patient with the new kid. They work on teaching her to tie her belt to spending extra time on moves and she is beaming after class. I am very fortunate to have found this place and really enjoy the way she loves class. It has bolstered her confidence.

I was referred by a friend and am so glad I decided to come to my first class! The instructors are knowledgeable and encouraging- they want you to be the best you can be inside and outside of the gym. The team is more than just a team- it’s a family! 10/10 would recommend you come in for your first free week of class. You will want to keep coming! Great sport for the kids too!

Coach Piper and Chef are amazing! They love what they do and it shows as they teach our little ones! I pray my kids never have to use this, but I know if they do they will have learned from the best coaches on how to get away from strangers. Coaches here are the best! You can tell they love the sport and my son has benefited from that. Great exercise and great life lessons for my four year old that he will take with him always. So glad we found this place.

The coaches at this gym are very knowledgeable in their skill and all-around great! I appreciate how they work with the students in both groups as well as on an individual level. My son has been going to Gracie United South Baton Rouge for a year and he has loved it every step of the way. I love the way they work with the kids and build them up! His behavior has also improved at school! Still one of the best decisions I made for my son!

What a great experience we have had since our elementary school son joined a year ago! His self-confidence has sky rocketed and his demeanor and self-discipline have greatly improved. Great atmosphere for kids and adults! The coaches are very knowledgeable about the skills and work very well with young children as well as beginners and advanced adults. Coach Chef and Coach Piper have a wonderful gym that takes time to train, coach, and encourage the children.

I have 3 kids that are involved in Jiujitsu and due to relocation have had them at various gyms across the country. The environment and instruction is extremely appropriate for your children at this gym. They really teach them the necessary tools to prepare them for life in a bully filled world. Coaching here is awesome. Coach Chef and his wife Piper are very knowledgeable and patient with the kids. I would encourage anyone to just show up, give it a try, and watch your kid come to life through the instruction and encouragement they will receive when they learn to protect themselves. After nearly 4.5 years of this I have zero fear of my kids not being able to appropriately handle a tense situation should it arise.

I currently train here. They are amazing here everyone feels like family. It is the highlight of my week and it feels great way to get a workout and a fun way to blow off some steam. My daughter is four and also goes here and she loves it.

Amazing gym for all ages. The class is well organized and executed. Steven and piper do a great job encouraging and explaining . Never felt more like apart of a family anywhere else .

Wonderful, family owned gym! My daughters love Coaches Chef and Piper. My 9 yr old has gained so much confidence from the past yr there and my 4yr old is loving the option of kickboxing in addition to the juijitsu classes.

Great gym & facilities, but even better people & instructors. Excellent place to train whether you’re young, old, male, or female. Learn how to defend yourself in a fun and safe atmosphere, but it’s also one of the toughest workouts you can do.

My son joined and we loved it so much that I (mom) joined too. Coaches Steven, Piper, and Brandy are very knowledgable and truly care about each students progress. We love our gym!

South Baton Rouge welcomes my family and I everytime we come to visit. Their gym and mat spaces are by far one of the best Ive ever seen. The kids class teaches your child Jiu Jitsu in a fun atmosphere. Their adult classes are very good to learn tips of our trade and a few dark art tricks. Chef and their new addition Professor Matt will have you in shape and on the podium in no time. I for one cant wait to visit again .

Just a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu my kids love the coaches Chef and Piper. When I started it was just to lose weight but now I just love to training bjj we or just one big family.

Amazing coaches, very knowledgeable, great with children. My family goes there at least once a month since its not our home gym, and they always welcome us with open arms and excitement. We all walk away ha ing learned something everytime we leave.

My son just started a few months ago. We love it here! The coaches are the best! They teach so many real life skills to the kids in addition to Jiu jitsu.
