I think this school is great and amazing, with all the teachers and principals that help the students achieve great things. I am a former student at Buchanan Elementary, and this school helped me prepare for what was coming in middle school. I absolutely loved this school, and I met many of my friends here. This school has many great talented teachers, with an amazing gifted program. I had a great time here, and I completely miss all the teachers, principals, and friends who have helped me. :)

This was an amazing elementary school to be at with nice, fun, and good teachers. Ancillary, a daily break from regular courses for things such as music, dance, or Creative Movement (which was basically a fun kind of PE), was very fun and educational. The whole school now uses Chromebooks to learn and grow. I recommend this school for young students. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot at this school. The teachers sometime switch out but all of the teachers there were great. You can learn higher math levels based on your math skill level. This school really prepared me for middle school. I had fun with the many PBIS activities, friends, and courses I had there. The gifted program was a real treat and the traditional students and teachers were wonderful too. I think youll have a great experience if you go there. The talented programs were fun with a lot of friends, great teachers, and fun projects. In talented art, constant projects were not invigorating but exciting, allowing you to express your creativity. In talented music, you would learn a part to a song, play it with others playing other instruments or singing, and occasionally play some of the songs with perform some of the songs you learn. Youll occasionally even perform in front of a large audience at a professional place, like at the Manship Theater, or the USS Kidd. In talented drama, you would learn and perform plays with props and other students. Buchanan also had nice playgrounds and open spaces to play with friends, one playground for the younger children, one for the older. Time flies, but my time there was really amazing. I really enjoyed my time at Buchanan Elementary.

This school has been the best school i have been to yet.Though i have been there since pre k, im not sugar coating nothing.All the principles have been great ,(Ms.Hudson,Ms,Jones,Ms.Britten) We been on many field trips and have been rewarded so many times.I go to this school now, and will always remember this school! TL;DR It was a decent elementary school.So let me get started, most of this school is very nice, and the gifted program is also nice. Though the traditional teachers need to be more strict. I have seen and heard the traditional kids curse, make racial remarks, fight, and more, and get away with it Scott free.Also, lunch is horrible, they insist you shut up and eat your food, and once your done, just sit there, and the lunch monitors keep talking and talking while. The School president of 2016 was also very bad and got nothing accomplishedBut, theres much more wrong here. In the bathroom I constantly saw piss on the floor, and poop in the urinals, and the mirrors are literally just some crappy metal. Back to lunch, the food sucked. One kid got food poisoning from it and another found freaking staples in it.Finally, everyone hates mrs.Rankins or whatever the hell her name is. But, there is many redeeming factors, like some of the teachers (though most of the good ones left 2015 because of the worst principle ever), and Ive barely scratched the surface, so overall, not the best, but still better than sherwood

This is a great school for getting your academical education. However, the lack of electives such as dance and PE is the only problem I had with this school.
