It’s unfortunate that I’ve been trying to get into this school for a few years now but can’t seem to get past the prehire situation. I got into some trouble as a late teen (I’m 40 now) and have never been in trouble since. It’s truly disheartening that you have individuals such as myself constantly being subject to bias. In an industry running detrimentally short on drivers for various reasons, individuals like me who actually want to work and settle into a career of driving has to contend with road blocks. All I hear every 30 days by text is “yeah hi, FYI no prehire yet”! SMH 🤦🏽‍♂️ The journey to being a road warrior pushes on. 💪🏽

Stay away from this school especially if you are military. The see military personnel as free money. All they care about is first time passing rates and the testers are extremely picky. If you dont pass the first time they consider you a lost cause and then it will be hard to find an instructor to work with you. My advice is go to a Community College or a different school. This company hires and fires instructors constantly so you are always getting new instructors telling you different things. Even the testers cant agree on whats right or wrong especially the pre-trip part of the test. Avoid this place at all cost.

I applied to start the class and was turned down for a grant .the staff were very friendly and respectful , the school is very clean and a comfortable atmosphere.Unfortunately without the grant I cant take the class . I told my friends about what happened and they are going to apply at a different driving school .I had 17 close friends that would have applied here but they felt bad for me and decided to go elsewhere to learn.

Bad experience came in with my cdl and I didn’t not get to doing any maneuvers until my 3rd due to not having enough instructors then when we finally got to the pad to drive we had 9 students in our class we only got 2 turns a piece to drive even though I got my cdl and graduated this school is a waste of money

I’m in 20 week class. I was suppose to graduate on 9/20 but I failed my test. I haven’t really had that much practice with backing like I did with my driving because all the rain and all of the students who had to test would jump in front of us. The instructors don’t do anything about it and truly just don’t care. Now it’s my turn to test again and I just want to practice my backing and it’s a problem, the instructors are only going to help their students basically and not anybody else. Baton Rouge campus is sooo shady and miserable as a school trying to help each and everybody no matter what it’s just disgusting. It’s always a problem. If you are thinking about DDA (especially) Baton Rouge.DO NOT DO IT, YOU WILL HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS. THE IS NO RESOLUTION FOR YOUR PROBLEMS. Smh

I have been going to this school for only a week and I love it! All of the instructors are awesome and really care about the students obtaining their CDL and succeeding in the trucking industry. I am overcome with joy at my decision to attend DDA. Try it if you are considering getting your CDL. You will not be sorry! :)
