This is an update due to the owners response to my original review. I not only reside in this community; I am a social worker who assists and advocates for families in this community. Clarity was and is needed to ensure parents understand that the reduction does not apply to pre-kinder students. My frustration did not stem from the ratio of students per class, that is understandable. I was frustrated only because the school price reduction was confirmed when I  enrolled him at the facility. No one ever explained pre-kinder students continued at the same rate and why... until the owner read my original review. When a worker and I discussed the review, it was explained to me then. I paid my price of 140 that day and this week due to my obligation of a two weeks notice before unenrolling him from the facility. I have no other complaints about the establishment.

Please ensure you have clarity before enrolling. My son loves it there and I have not had a problem until today. I was told - from the day my 4 year old enrolled - once kids are in school,  its half price. Today, I went to pay half of $140 but  was told that doesnt begin until he  is a kinder student. The rationale was we are holding his spot;  when he is out of school, he still comes. 1. They knew he would be in prek before his first day! 2. Are not all kids in the district out when the district is closed? Why would I pay 140$ and hes only there 2.5 hours/day: I take him to school myself. Im not sure if this is an attempt to get prek out for full-time students; if so, this will be my sons last week.

My son has been coming here for the past 3-4 years and I couldnt see him any place else. I never have to worry about anything, Everyone there treats my son as if he is their own. If you are considering bringing your child here DO IT!!! You wont regret it! Walden Oaks Daycare is FAMILY!

My girls have been going to this day care for almost 4 years. Their old day care unexpectedly closed and Walden Oaks welcomed them with big hearts. The girls immediately felt comfortable and love it there. During the pandemic, I took the girls out for 6 weeks and they worked with me and kept in touch throughout. The owner is very involved and that’s valuable to see because it shows that she cares for the kids.

This place is not a place i would leave children. left my 3 year old there and he came home to tell me he was locked in a closet. Unprofessional and has some ratty dusty lady as an owner. Lack of profesional personelle

My daughter has been going here from almost 4 years and my son since he was born. The new owners are so wonderful. They are there every day even on weekends working on ways to improve the center, inside and outside. They truly care for the well-being of children. Also, any issue or question I’ve had I talk to Jessica or Carmelita about and it is quickly taken care of. My kids love it here! Shout out to Ms. Tatiana for always being so positive and cheerful everyday I pick up my son!❤️

Staff is always very friendly. The Facility is undergoing a lot of great security and aesthetic upgrades. Both of my kids teachers seem to care greatly about them and do a great job helping them develop throughout the school year. They have a lot of great summer activities for the kids to keep them engaged and entertained while theyre out of school. 10/10 would recommend to my friends.

I am very pleased with Walden oaks. I have been taking my kids for care here for the last 5 years and recently since the new ownership there have been many positive changes. Every week I notice and improvement from the security of the place to improvements to the inside of the building. The staff is friendly and really care about the well being and growth of the kids. My son loves it and I can leave to work feeling comfortable that he is well taken care of.

My son attended Walden oaks and let me tell you what! His teachers were amazing and so sweet! His favorite teacher was Ms. Kelsey, she was/is so sweet. I would highly recommend this daycare. They are very professional and the teachers would always tell me how my son did that day (they also give you a paper every day saying so too). Good place!

My son has been here a while now and he absolutely loves it!!! The teachers are great and the staff is super friendly. He was on a different daycare before we switched him and it is night and day difference from the old daycare he was at.

In the beginning our experience was great only due to one teacher being amazing. Once this pandemic started happening the owner decided she would only accept a limited number of children without telling the parents and then would refuse to refund or credit the child’s account on days she would refuse for the child to attend. Making it hard on essential workers having to pay someone extra to babysit last minute (the morning of) to be able to make it to work. Fast forward, I finally got my kid moved to a great daycare and the owner called my kid’s new daycare and told them not to accept my kid because he had behavior issues, which was a complete lie. The owner is money hungry, unprofessional, and doesn’t seem to care for the kids at all. If you’re looking into this daycare, please keep looking!And to your response, indeed my child was turned away without any prior notice of a number of student acceptance change during the pandemic. The privacy policy was indeed not followed when in fact, the new daycare received a call from the owner of this daycare with lies about my child.So for anyone looking at this daycare to send their child, please keep looking, there are some amazing daycares for your babies but this location is not it.

Its about to be a year that my son is attending and we both love it! The staff is great and the security so reassuring, I have no worries when hes there!

I love the infant room for my daughter the last 2 months. The three teachers are great and loving towards her. The director is very genuine and knowledgeable as well. Why did I give a score of 2? Well the security of the children is not ideal at all which is a reflection on the owner. There is NO lock on the door so on two occasions I have gone up there and nobody was at the front nor did they realize I was there until minutes later. This is very dangerous and leave me uneasy. So uneasy that unfortunately I am considering taking her out of a learning environment that I can tell she loves to be more secure. I enrolled her knowing there was no lock and was not falsely told there would be one soon honestly but I was told it was being considered and was certainly told that someone would always be at the front to hear. Well they say they are required to do counts and the person from the front must go and it leaves the front unattended. I asked the director what is the procedure for God forbid an active shooter and she professionally told me that they have silent alarms around the center but for me thats then possibly too late since they are already inside. She reiterated that she is not the owner so cant override the decision. But if the owner sees this is a problem then WHY keep the door open. Parents could still freely pop up to see their child with a lock code, or someone buzz in. Not just random strangers walking in.

Great daycare, Ive been taking my kids here for years. Everyone is always very nice and helpful.

I couldn’t ask for a better place for my babies to go and learn.My son Joel has came a long ways thanks to his Pre-k Teacher Ms Kelsey.Kids love going.

My grandson has been going here for a while. This daycare is avery good school. He has good teachers. And has learned a lot. And loves all his teachers. The staff is very nice and friendly. They always help you with anything. They have had alot of activitys and events at this daycare and nothing at all at the previous one. Great place to send your child.

I love the teachers and staff, I was scared to put the kids back in daycare after so many terrible experiences with our previous daycare. My kids love going to daycare and have been at this location for over a year now. I love Ms. Carmelita and how involved the teachers are with the kids. They join in the outdoor activities too.

Everyone is so friendly! My 6yo loves her teacher she expresses how sweet she is and she loves being here bc everyone is so friendly

Teachers are great!!! the non lock front door and the fact that the desk is sometimes unattended is the reason for the lower score.

My son went there when he was nine months old til he turned 3 he learned a lot all the workers are really awesome

Love the teachers.... The management and front desk are horrible to deal with.

This daycare does not have working cameras, I would not recommend this walden oaks location to anybody.

Very poor management, the director is very rude and cares about nothing but herself!
