I have been studying with Paul McCormack since October of 2017. As a result of my studies with Paul, I have quickly advanced in my art. My drawing skills are stronger and accurate. He is knowable, an amazing teacher and extremely supportive. Everyday I work in my studio because of his teaching. It is an honor and a privilege to be a student of Paul McCormack.

I have been studying drawing and watercolor portraiture with Professor Paul At McCormack Studios for 8 years. He is a fantastic instructor for adult students who want to learn to draw and paint portraits using pencil, oil or watercolor. His knowledge of color mixing is phenomenal, his instruction is clear, challenging, yet patient.I suggest registering for a 3 to 5 day workshop with him, particularly his drawing from life class. If you have prior experience drawing portraits, his painting from life or/and painting-from-photographs workshops are excellent.His full service studio serves each student depending on their stage as an artist (from fostering self-confidence for beginners to assisting with art career visions for more advanced students). Make no mistake, Professor McCormack is a portrait master, but he is dedicated to meeting students where they are.....from choosing the right portrait subject and editing vintage photographs in order to improve desired portrait quality, to professionally photographing students’ portrait subject to prepare for drawing and painting. If you are committed to being a better portraitist, I would recommend the McCormack Studio highly!

I have attended many of Paul McCormacks portrait workshops...watercolor and graphite either from a live model or photo. These workshops have dramatically improved my work and I am grateful for Pauls patience and instruction. The workshops are limited in size to about 6 artists, so the instruction is really a hands-on experience....and we have a lot of fun getting to know each other.
