My oldest daughter attended KUMON over nine years ago. She was really struggling in math. Within a matter of one year she was back on track without any more problems. Now my youngest daughter attends and I can see the improvements in her math skills. She is now doing mental math without using her fingers. Her confidence is through the roof! I will tell anybody that this program is proven to work! You have to give it some time to flourish just like you would with any other skill. I am glad that I had found Kumon and registering my kid . Due to covid , my kid last half of the year in kindergarten and the other half of the year in 1st grade was all virtual learning, she did not learn anything. She was in 2nd grade with kindergarten skill level, but only within a month of kumon , I have seen improvement. I wish I could have found out about Kumon earlier. First of all I would like to thank Mrs. Julie, because she helped both of my sons become confident in math. One of my sons started Kumon when he was in 5th grade, and the other in 3rd grade. Mrs. Julie has made Kumon a fantastic educational experience for my kids. We have been going for years. Mrs Julie works great with kids and is there to help the parents too! My kids have been able to form a solid foundation in reading and math. The study skills and practice that they accomplish here are able to be transferred to other subjects as well. First of all I truly believe in education. I came to know about Kumon in Beaumont, that which to educate and to train our children’s mind to be cleared and brilliant at such a young age. I started my daugther at Kumon when she was in elementary school, she did so well both in math and reading. She graduated from UT Austin. Now my grandchildren who live in Japan also are taking Kumon, they love it and enjoy it very much, she is 3 1/2, and 7 respectively. Mrs Julie being consisted with Kumon techniques my boys were able to excel fast enough to surpass their grade level and were taught their basics enough to help them ace all their classes. My older started in first grade because he had speech problem and we were told that he might have to repeat 1st grade because he barely pass kindergarten. As of fall of fourth grade he’s reading at 8 grade level and doing division. We had to stop because he had baseball and school workload was getting overwhelming for him. My youngest started kumon when he was 3 year old and he loves Kumon. In two years, he can read second grade level book with little help. My opinion is Kumon is an good enrichment program that teaches your child all the basics. It takes time to see results and it’s very well worth your money. Parent needs to monitor their work if you want to see faster results.

We started Kumon at 4 and I couldn’t be happier. The program is truly an investment in your child’s education. I’m a strong believer in educational resources that enhance and make my childs’ knowledge base stronger. We did both reading and math. The reading definitely helped my daughter start reading at about 4 1/2. My daughter told me that she misses Mrs. Julie and that makes me happy that she enjoyed her experience with Kumon.

I’m so happy I made the decision to send my son to Kumon in Beaumont. Mrs.Julie takes her time with one on one studies and I can most definitely see the improvement. She even guaranteed me money back if he doesn’t learn. Well I won’t be looking for anything back. Aidan is on a great path to learning and excelling and I have Mrs.Julie and her hard working team to thank. His teachers wanted to hold him back but we see through Kumon it wasn’t because he wasn’t smart it’s because no one at school took the time to teach him. This is a great place with great resources for kids! Miss Julie is an experienced instructor who finds out the weakness of the kids and gives personal attention to each one to improve. I highly recommend this place if your kid needs to build a strong foundation in math and reading.

Definitely Recommend. There are levels of reading and math for every age and grade, and they repeat the lesson twice to make sure you understand what you are doing and remember it. It has been the best experience I have ever had. My son who was in 3rd grade, (now promoted to 4th grade) did not know how to read at all! It was a frustrating situation because what ever I did to help him read was not working. I’m also a university student and with the stress on my classes, my son un able to read for me it was very frustrating and also for him. As I was looking for tutoring, I found Kumon. I register him and with in 3 months he was able to read! I was very impressed. Now,( 6 months later) he is reading and understanding more everyday. Now I added the Math portion. I see that he is able to do more in couple of months then he did since he started Elementary school. The cost that Kumon charge is worth every penny. If you need help with your kiddos and tried everything to help them with reading and learning math, Kumon is the place you would want them to be at. Well recommended!

My son is very smart but he wasnt motivated to do his best. After 2 weeks at Kumon, I no longer have to tell him to do his work, he does it on his own. Mrs. Julie has made learning fun, encouraging, and motivating. Im so happy we chose Kumon Beaumont!

Kumon is a wonderful learning center and has been essential in shaping my children’s academic future. My daughter’s (grades 5th and 2nd) have been under Mrs. Johnson’s tutelage for more than 3 years each and continue to thrive. They are consistently more than a year ahead in their studies and their ability to understand directions and complete work independently is a direct result of their participation in Kumon. Both of my daughters attended Julie Johnson’s KUMON classes and I sincerely believe that they benefited greatly from the experience. They are now young adults, and the oldest is an optometrist and the youngest is a senior business consultant who just received a scholarship from U.T. to complete a master’s degree.

Ill never forget the experience I had when I first considered entering my kids into Kumon. I was with my then 3 boys in Houston at a McDonalds playplace getting out some play energy, and I noticed this large family of 3-4 children, all probably younger than 8, all diligently working on their Kumon packets! Needless to say I was impressed by their discipline. Here I was, a homeschooling dad struggling to find a core curriculum for math and reading trying not to stare too much at this family, but I could hardly help myself. I needed to figure out what those kids were working on - at this point I was very intrigued. I soon recognized their blue and black zip folders had the Kumon logo, and I remembered that this was the math and reading tutorials I had heard my wife speak about from her childhood. Anyway, it was this experience that lead me to calling Mrs. Julie Johnson to get my 2 older boys enrolled into the Kumon program! Both of my boys started in the spring of 2017, and theyve consistently been enrolled since. Two of the biggest reasons why we love and continue Kumon is because of Mrs. Julie and the Kumon method. And its not just a method, but I have learned and have seen that Kumon reading and math are in fact actual curriculum, which means it is designed in such a way to work students progressively to master math and reading skills in much the same way public and private schools might formulate their curriculums; however, I have found the Kumon curriculum for math and reading thus far to be superior (my wife and I should know...I was publicly educated and she was privately education our whole lives). That being said, Kumon math and reading curriculums work extremely well with our style of homeschooling, and Kumon has taken away the huge burden of experimenting and trying to find the best curriculum elsewhere. Yes, it took me some time to get used to the consistency and repetition of the Kumon worksheets and homework, but I am now a firm believer in this methodology. Repetition is the way the vast majority of students learn best, and Ive seen the proof of this in my own children. Mrs Julie, as I mentioned, is the reason we also continue Kumon because she is as real and authentic as you can get, and I value her feedback and suggestions immensely. She has made me a better educator at home, and it has been a blessing to have her in our corner, as Im sure other Kumon parents would agree. I highly recommend Kumon here in Beaumont, especially if youre looking to provide the academic and study skill your child needs to succeed!

I did Kumon in kindergarten through seventh grade and feel that it immensely impacted how I learn any material I set out to learn. Yes, it gave me a strong foundation in math and reading, but more importantly it taught me the power of repetition and active learning. Even as a sophomore at UT, I still feel much more confident in my ability to learn new material and grasp new concepts because of my Kumon experience. The lessons Mrs. Johnson taught me at Kumon Beaumont are ones I will forever be grateful for!

Mrs. Julie works wonders with children. She has a way of teaching each child, and making it fun to learn. My child is 3 years old and can count to 60 without assistance, he recognizes numbers up to 100. He can write number 1-10 without assistance and hold his writing utensil correctly.
