They have 5 people working the front for maybe 150 and them girls are in no hurry. Their computers are junk, always freezing up and sometimes you have to take the class over after spending hrs taking the class. All that money they make and cant even fix their leaking roof on a brand new building. And some of the women in the lab walk around like they are to good and always rude. To the rude women in the lab, it takes no skill to look at i.ds and write a time down on a little piece of paper and log someone onto a computer. Humble yourself, anyone can do your job.

For a computer based business their computers routinely freeze up. Then you get to hold your arm up like a little kid for 10- 15 minutes until some rude employee finally comes to help, only for it to happen again. Houston or lake charles is much better.

If you are picking up badge dont bother showing up till after 8. You get set to the side and have to wait for everyone else to check in. I was one of the first people in line when the doors opened. I had to wait 2 hours to get my badge.

Its the most magical and amazing place to visit. I highly suggest basic plus refresher. And then about 4 site specifics ohh and dont forget confined space. THANK ME LATER

This establishment takes advantage of its customers on a daily basis. Long lines due to poorly staffed check-in stations and inadequate management. This company has a monopoly on the training required to work in the area, yet lacks the integrity to keep the workers that represent millions of USD moving through the process at a reasonable pace. I truly hope someone that cares will read these reviews and make the appropriate changes. This whole process could be so much better with very little effort if proper management/staffing was in place.

Try to be in line before 06:30am then u are go to go otherwise u will be in Q for 1hr. Don’t forget to bring your jacket 🧥 its very cold 🥶. U get free Coffee ☕️. Bring your ID and also TWIC card if u have one.

They had alot of people waiting for their ISTC badge, usually a wait be prepared. The computer I was on also froze on me twice they need to upgrade . Other than that everything was cool.

The ladies there that show you to your seat do a good job on cleaning the area for covid

During a previous conversation with an employee, I was given instructions on my process. After following those instructions clearly. Another employee, who was there when I received the first instructions, dismissed the process I was told. This has interrupted my schedule and greatly unconvinced me. The lack of communication to patrons and between staff needs to be improved.

Gotta wait fir over 2hrs in line if your not taking basic plus or blade those they put them in first the rest if us can wait in long as lines all the way to parking lot and lab tech are always in a bitchi mood

All the staff up front is either chatting with each other or on their phone , no respect for other people time, all of them seems they hated the job and it effects the customers that goes here, what a shame. I see no improvement for the past 3yrs…

I attended courses at ISTC for two days.The staff at the front were very friendly, informative, and professional. There can be long wait times in the morning, due to the high number of students, however the ISTC staff works through line quickly.The facility is state-of-the-art. The technology, and the campus itself, far supersede that of many public and private institutions.The instructors for the courses I took were highly experienced industry professionals - most were retired from local industrial sites throughout our community. They, too, were very professional, as well as knowledgeable. The instructors provided anecdotal examples of the topics covered in the courses, and frequently engaged with the students by presenting questions and hypothetical scenarios throughout the lecture. I would strongly recommend that any person taking a course at ISTC pay close, careful attention to the course material as it is being discussed to ensure successful completion of the exams.

Far as I know they only do their safety test in English. How is it that people that only speak and read Spanish pass those safety test with flying colors and get their safety badges? Theres Something Fishy going on 🐟🤔 Unless a lot of those Mexican workers are using fake safety badges.

Miserable...but only because i had to take the classes in the first place, other than that it was clean quiet and safe!

Ive visited safety councils all over the country, but this is the only one I dread coming to. They dont treat clients as customers. If you are a self-serve client, dont expect the same level of service you would get walking into any other safety council. If you can take courses at the Houston Area Safety Council, instead, do so. If I could give this place a zero star rating, I would.

Great safety courses, but Ive never had more people just deadass try to walk out in front of my car than in this parking lot.

At this new location, the cubicle walls in the computer-based training area are all much lower than the previous location. That means that during the busy times you are sure to face the person directly in front of you. Who thought that was a good idea? Cubicle walls SHOULD provide some protection from unwanted distractions as you are in training, all sorts of them. Get the point?
