Ive only gone here about 3xs, good haircut, first I visited I got braids (first time) since I left the military...one suggestion though please get something for your customers neck to lean back on while getting braids done.The third time I got them I was in the chair for a good hour head leaning back didnt feel comfortable at all. Honestly though I cant complain too much the price is rightI remember being in the Navy haircuts were only $5, so I cant see myself paying for another $30 haircut.Gotta give props to Jason for a well deserved cut!

I will NEVER return here, after many years of coming here. I have very long fine hair and I get it these are students, but I have never been treated as I was this last time. I went in for a tight spiral and was given two female students, from the very beginning there additude made me uncomfortable but I figured it was just going to pass, well it didnt and so began my nightmare. The student kept cursing and saying how much she hated this as she pulled on my hair she couldnt wrap my hair correctly it was twisted half in rollers and not placed right, my anxiety kept escalating as she continued bad mouthing and making me feel horrible. I wanted to stand up and leave. The other student also became uncomfortable and both of us asked her to stop and take a break as she was making me uncomfortable but she refused. I finally asked the other student to get the instructor, when instructor came she stood there and I asked student to take a break so I could talk with instructor, she replied very rudely yeah whatever! I was then placed with another student who had to remove all the work and redo. I was still very shaken. I never had a instructor return to check on progress and left with my hair nothing as I asked for, half my hair was straight strands the rest was loose curls it was even wrapped as spiral. I am beyond disappointed with what I paid for, and I dont even want to return do to how I was treated.

The service was good, they technician that did my hair checked in with me regularly making sure I was okay during the process. I will be going back for the same services, shampoo, condition blow dry, and flat iron oh yeah a neck trim for my under cut. Happy 😊 with this place all and all.

Been going here for years, as of tonight NEVER again. 5 1/2 hours for a root touch up and high lights was supposed to get a cut,went home and gave myself another Covid hair cut. The color wasnt rinsed off the back of my hair. The color isnt what I wanted but I can live with it. They where mopping under my feet, when I looked down you couldnt even see a part of the floor that wasnt covered in hair. Everyone was sincredibly unprofessional. The gentleman next me getting a cut was treated rudly and getting snarky comments from the student. Waste of money.

Ive been getting haircuts @ Northwest College for almost 4 years and Im always amazed at the talent they receive with the barbering department. Sure, not every student is gifted with cutting hair from the get go, but each one of them holds a element of passion. LB is one of those barbers that makes sure you leave happy and feeling great in your own skin.I highly recommend this place for anyone with an open mind that is willing to listen to the students stories.

They messed up my har. I asked take of few millimeters but they took off 3 inches. I asked them to make it straight but they made it all place the place like steps on a ladder. This was done by the instructor,. I will never let those liars touch my hair again.

This place is amazing the instructors and the students are amazing. I love coming to school everyday and learning and trying new things. I’ve been going to school for about a year and half and I’ve had no issues at all with anyone!! I highly recommend northwest college school of beauty!!

For anyone who is really considering going to school here please come inside and talk to at least 2 to 3 of their students to get a real picture of what a horror show this place is. I would’ve benefited if I would’ve took this money that I paid them and dumped it into a casino and gamble it away at least there would’ve been a chance that I would have made out I have lost really good money and precious time. I have learned absolutely nothing. I fully plan on reporting them to the board and trying to strip their accredited college fraud theme away despicable

I had an appointment and called saying I was going to be a few minutes late. They told me I had a 15 minute window. Just as I was parking it hit 15inutes so I called them and they said they wouldnt do my nails.

Had an awesome facial done by Michelle. Shes very talented and will go far in this industry.

What a joke. This is not a real school. Do not waste your time or money unless you like to paint rocks. I did not sign up to study medical Aesthetician to do art and make googly faces on rocks.. After investigation this school has a 1.7 out of 5 stars and now I know why.

I have had a great experience with Northwest College Beaverton campus, I was introduced to this beauty salon from my mom she would often go there with a particular hair stylist. Students and teachers are very friendly and helpful with the customer. I often used to go to Northwest College Beaverton campus beauty salon before the coronavirus.

I went in to get a haircut and expected to get a average haircut but little did I know Los would cut my hair. Best haircut I have ever gotten in my life, came out looking like Michael b Jordan but better!!!Los is a really great guy, seems to really care about customers and is very passionate about his work. Had an amazing experience and will for sure be coming back to get a haircut by Los again! Would recommended this place to anyone!

I am not one to review but this was awful. I walked in after a year of chemo and just asked for a creative hairstyle with my new short hair. The hair stylist had NO idea what to do, so she literally brushed it and said what do you think? I asked for a style. I can brush my hair. So she gets her instructor that says.... she is a student, what do you expect? Then another lady comes over and was irritated and said you have short curly hair, there is nothing to do with that. I walked out crying.

This happened a while ago but it still was important enough that I think people should take it into consideration before coming here. I’ve come here twice. The first time was for my fiancé’s prom and then next time was two years later for my own. Things went great for my fiancé’s prom and my hair looked great. My own prom however was probably the WORST experience I’ve ever had with any salon in my life. I called over a month in advance to make an appointment in attempts to make sure they had enough room for me and didn’t have spots fill up as it was a Saturday. They call me the DAY OF to tell me that my student called in sick and my appointment was being cancelled. Little to no apology kinda just oh sorry you need to find somewhere else. You can imagine how difficult this is, literally every salon was full. After being hysterical trying to find someplace for over an hour my mother calling them and they finally somehow manage to find a spot for me. Basically it was someone who was completely open but they cancelled my appointment originally anyways? I wish that they had better back up plans to prevent this because in reality if I make an appointment with a salon for a big event way ahead of time, in the really world I expect to them to make sure this happens. The price difference is not worth the stress and unpredictability

I asked for half an inch to a inch as I’ve been growing my hair out for my wedding. While I was talking to the lady, she managed to cut off 4 inches! While saying oh no.. and having her teacher come over to tell me we only have two options. To blend it in to the rest of your hair or just cut it all to that length. After all this happened I was in shock and still had to pay for my haircut when I got home I cried for hours. I imaged my wedding with beautiful long hair. Such a disappointment.

I had a really great experience here today. I was a bit apprehensive before booking because of all of the bad reviews I’ve seen. I’ll get the reasons I only rated it 4/5 stars first, the appointment time was 9am and they were a little bit late having me come back, they didn’t have the shine treatment advertised online that I requested at the time of booking and the fact that it was absolutely freezing in there. However, that aside, I was assigned Emily and couldn’t have had a better experience with her! She was attentive and very polite with the perfect balance of personability! I asked for settle highlights and a trim. She did a wonderful job and took her time and payed attention to the details. Just a heads up, cash tips only! I really wanted to tip her but didn’t have cash. But now I know for next time! I’ll definitely be back.

This is a great place for me to come get my hair done. I’ve had nothing but great service here. The students are supervised every step of the way by the teachers so I always get what I came in for. And they’re all super friendly!

I go to school here.. currently. We never have the products we need. Its 58 degrees in the building and the owner of the school wont change the heat so the clients are leaving and us students are too cold to do anything. Were trying to keep warm by bringing space heaters and blankets from our home so we dont freeze.

I have had my hair colored here several times and it has always turned out great. My problem is that the service has been declining. The students are great but the last two times I went for a color they didnt have any color. The first time it happened was weather related and that I get. The second time though had nothing to do with weather. I was also upset that they knew they didnt have any color but didnt bother to call and tell me not to come. I took off work early and fought major traffic to get there on time only to be told they were out of color. The student was awesome and tried to help me find somewhere else. The other problem I have is that the students are always not showing up. I have had 3 appointments cancelled because the students just dont show up. It is very frustrating!

The staff and students are always professional and knowledgeable. Emily does an amazing job everytime I go to see her to get my hair colored. I would reccomend everyone give the place a try.

This is about the 3rd time I’ve made an appointment for my son to see a barber. I made it yesterday for today and once again they didn’t even put him on the schedule. I wasted my time coming out there from Tigard once again. Being a single mom and doing it all this is very unprofessional. They have great barbers but they need new management!! I’ve made an appointment for myself and they call me the day of because my student called out of school. Don’t rely on your appointment.

Great place people just have to understand that their students are practicing if you dont want someone whos gonna take time and try there best then dont come at all. Overall my services are good there

I havent had a problem with the student services. Cut and manicure good. Its the constant cancellation or time changes for services. This has happened almost every month for the last 3-4 months. As customers, our time is as valuable as the schools.Have one last appointment( sitting near by having to kill an hour as its happened again).I sense mismanagement, especially with the front desk.And probably a shortage of students. My time isnt worth what I save in dollars any longer, and after almost two years, have to look at other options going forward.

This is a wonderful way to save money but still treat yourself. Im a senior citizen and for $8 got a great manicure.

Went twice. Once for a perm that they argued with me about blonde being my natural color, saying that I was a liar. The second time I went to get a design for my undercut. Sat in the waiting room for over two hours and no one gave me a reason why. When I threatened to leave they finally got someone for a trim the rest of my hair. At 3.5hrs I finally got my under cut done and the guy speed through it and it looked bad.P.s. I waited because I had someone else with me who was also getting their hair cut during the first hour

Some people here are good at cutting, some aren’t not worth coming here even for the low prices, much better going to an ACTUAL barbershop where people are licensed and know what they are doing

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all I have gotten my hair done here 4 times and alll expect for once they have messed up my hair my hair now has huge split ends, and also very dry, different colors and horrible damage. The only reason I kept going was cause they had my hair color shade when I would get my roots done but the past couple times they have made my root color a different shade then my actual hair shade and also the most recent time they have made it purple from all the toner so not only is my roots a yellow orange color but also my hair is purple. Also before I got my roots done they messed up my name and my appointment and then couldn’t do it. The workers have little to no knowledge on doing hair and I know for a fact I’m not coming here anymore.

I had great service before but the last time I went I got a color done and the girl that did my hair took forever to put the color on. She was so slow that it took 3 hours just to do.

I am a big fan of going here for a haircut and color. Yes, theyre all students so theyre learning! I havent been disappointed with what I get done. I have naturally curly hair so that makes it more difficult for certain people. Im planning on going back today.So theres a review on here that I have seen where this person is complaining about how much she hates her hair cut and color and she called the school, talked to a supervisor (teacher?) And now shes saying that she wants a refund for her unhappiness? Yeah, it sucks that you got a horrible haircut and the color isnt the best, but it doesnt work for anyone in the industry to have a 30 day refund policy since hair grows out in 30 days! If your time is so valuable, you should have come down to the school and gotten the answer from the instructor instead of staying on the phone for 30 minutes complaining about it.I can recommend a great hair salon. Thats sucky that you havent found someone who can do your hair since 1999. Adalaide Salon is amazing! Its on Hall off hwy 217. Turn right off exit, first light turn another right. First driveway.Suyapa Scott does the most fantastic things to hair. I adore her, shes been doing my hair for over 30 years! I hope this helps someone.

Si i had the worst pedicure in my life done there nwc beaverton everything about was not good i could have done a better job if i just painted my toe nails at home and saved my self some money.so the student was super nice but he just did a horrible job and then he couldnt even paint my nails his teacher came and did for him and as a teacher she failled it was a horrible paint job i will never go back.now i know it a school and they are leaning but what blew me away was when the teacher did such a horrible job.

Using my bfs account because i dont have one.I went to get my roots redone i had blonde highlights, first off it took just over 4 hours to do. Second i still left with brassy hair you can clearly tell the area they did. And lastly i still have a half inch grow out right in the front. Only giving 2 stars because the girl was nice through the process and they did say i could come back in the next few days if im dissatisfied. But i dont have the time again. Will be going back to a real salon next time.

Worst place to visit for hair cut, my appointment has been postponed twice and saying student not available, I would say they should stop taking appointments or else inform people saying your appointment date and time slot is not guaranteed.
