Room was very dated and small. At first glance seemed clean at least. However, this soon changed as the night went on. There were a lot of roaches every time I woke up to go to the bathroom. Left my Philly cheese steak on the counter and it was pretty covered in roaches despite being wrapped in foil I threw it away. Lesson learned. Choose better than I did.

We had ROACHES in our room. When we told the front desk staff, the woman said, thats probably because we have our less desirable guests stay on that side. Who determined we were less desirable from an internet reservation???? After Three full days of no staff, including the GM, Frankie, trying to correct this heath concern and blatant disrespect (no apology or even partial reimbursement), Im heading to all online review venues to warn people to avoid this hotel at all costs!!! I was sadly disappointed. This use to be my favorite place to go with my husband when we needed time away from our kids... Well they are grown now, so I tried to repay the favor. So I rented a room for my son and daughter-in-law to have time away from the kiddos and was super disappointed when I booked my room online I was not told that there was $100 deposit and then I was charged an additional $30 for checking in early even though I had called and the lady I spoke to the day before didnt mention this at all whatsoever. There was also a $17 fee charged to my card but when I asked upon checkout, they stated they had no idea where it came from even though my bank statement States it was charged by the pepper tree inn. But I was surprised when my $30 check-in fee was returned because we had checked out at 7:00 a.m. but that was only because of all the activity throughout the night that we left early. There was also a lot of late night traffic of people in and out of their rooms some drug activity and homeless on the grounds. the room wasnt prepared as I had expected there was no comforter on the bed so it was rather cold if you didnt have the heat running the entire time. They need to make people wear of the $100 deposit as well as early check-in fees. My son and daughter-in-law were not impressed and I was super embarrassed at the place that I had chosen for them because of all of the illegal activities going on. I will say though, Beaverton Police was highly active there😂🤷🤦

It was interesting with the auto pancake maker, although it was not set up. The employee did not want top set it up because she was afraid to break it. Even though there are instructions on the machine and the batter bag and in their prep room. Offered to help but she did not trust i could read the instructions. I did convince her, so yeah we had pancakes.

The bed needs to be replaced, it was a little broke down and dated itself. The room smelled Like dog pee everywhere. The person working on the evening moved me to another room close but I r was for handicapped. Much smaller collapsible plastic table and smaller bed...still same price.😒 but that was one of the better interactions. What the clincher was the person during the day shift the following morning was out of his way rude. And then rude some more. I woke up late had figured I better swing for another night but I was 25 dollars short and couldnt pay the dog fee until I went to the bank. I attempted to ask for an hour leeway I said Id like to stay but im short the man behind the desk interrupts me and says so you checking out. I said again Im short and as for the dog I wouldnt be able to cover either. Then abruptly says so youve checked out of the room. Then after that I went packed up the dog in the truck I was quickly getting myself presentable when the desk person with anger that the dog had to be off property immediately or he would charge me..

So apparently you have to check to see how full they are because if they are near capacity, you will not get hot water as they only have 2 water heaters. We called the front desk and they said theres a swim team here and they must be showering. As if its the guests responsibility to coordinate shower times with other guests. Not only that, but half the outlets in the room didnt work. No lamps, no alarm clock. Had to put all electronics in the bathroom to charge. When asked about it, the front desk used the standard Im not in charge, people that are arent here. If you want to pay full price to get one quarter of the agreed upon product, this place has the scam for you. Im surprised they havent been sued out of existence yet. What a disgusting business.

Loved this place. I would stay there again. Im excited to see the rooms fully remodeled. They had every toiletry except for a razor. The breakfast stuff is wonderful if you have no food allergies. They do have bowls and spoons if you bring your own cereal and milk. My room had a mini refrigerator so it was easy to have my own stuff ready. It was clean, much cleaner than expected. The staff I directly interacted with were all nice and wonderful. They had several rooms that were not ready at 4 pm which is an hour past check in, including ours.I did witness the issues that were caused because earlier in the day the manager decided to do something that way against policy. It slowed down the check in progress when the customer was under the impression it would speed it up. He had also had talked to her about making sure his room was ready because he had a meeting at 5pm and needed to leave by 4 pm so he needed his room by 330pm to get changed. He was there before 330. The room was not ready. The check in progress was slow and complicated. The manager would not leave her office dispite there being 4 other groups waiting to check in. There was another computer available to check people in. The attendant was wonderful. He was patient and kind. He was clear and easy to understand. The manager was absent when they really should have been out there during the rush. If I was to put me feet in the shoes of that employee, I imagine I would feel frustrated and unsupported in that situation. Maybe there was a situation that I didnt know about and maybe Im miss understanding the situation but it took us 45 minutes to get through the wait and our check-in. I felt it was longer than necessary.

I actually had planned a four star review at the start of my two week stay here but slowly that deteriorated as time went on. I cant recommend anyone stay here unless price is the sole motivating factor for you. Be warned, you get what you pay for with this one.To be fair, pros first:- Price. Best price in this area of Portland that I could find.- Location. I needed to be close to my office and there arent even many AirBNBs in this area. If you need to land in Beaverton, this is one of few options. If youre renting a car, that may not be an issue.- Staff (some of them). Some of the staff was very professional and responsive. For example, the treadmill nearly killed me on day two because it was so badly maintained but they fixed it in like 48 hours. Not even sure a major chain would have done that.- Breakfast. For the price and quality of the hotel, the breakfast was better than expected. Decent selection of options and reasonable quality. Now the bad:- Quality. Plainly put, this hotel is worse for wear. Its old and it shows it. While some has been successfully updated (bed/sheets), my sink had a major aesthetic crack but more oddly, my shower had....bubbling tile...Ive never seen this but someone (badly) installed a plastic sheet that LOOKED like tile but was in fact, not tile. Because they installed it badly, it had air pockets behind it so when I bumped it...the wall rippled out...additionally, that bad installation/ripple effect meant much of the caulk no longer worked. Going to ignore the mold I likely inhaled. Will most certainly post the video I took.- Staff. This hotel for some reason requires that they clean your room during your stay. Ive stayed in hotels all over the world for similar times and never had that demand. Typically, I like my privacy and honestly, I am not really that picky so I dont want to make them clean it. However, the staff treated me like a weirdo when I requested to simply not have the room cleaned and while I relented, I didnt appreciate the feeling. Its worth noting the manager was more agreeable than the desk person. My biggest worry is perhaps this is reflective of the typical customer they have and a need to check up on them.- Sound. While the highway right next to the hotel could have been miles away, I could make out conversation from my neighbors. While not a huge deal, something to account for. I did have an interior room so that may have shielded me from the highway.- Other. Generally, its just old. Decor is kind of old. The outlets arent in the right place (not a single one by the desk for example). The iron looks like it was perhaps the first one made. The ironing board had stains. Etc.

Don’t waste your time... really bad attitudes, customer service is a joke! Advertised a price on a partner site, then I called direct and I was quoted twice that, I mentioned the 3rd party price and was told “we don’t match.” I guess they don’t understand how 3rd party works, they only give you a percentage of the amount they charge YOUR customers. The Peppertree Inn is a nice little place with all the amenities that you typically find in a motel of this quality. The bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. For a relatively inexpensive hotel, it was a good place to stay. The rooms were small but seemed updated. The bed was much too soft for my liking but they provided both firm and soft pillows so I actually slept quite well. The walls let sound through so we could hear the TV playing in a neighboring room but the noise of the A/C unit helped mask it. The room was clean and supplied with standard consumables (shampoo, soap, tissues, lotion, even toothbrushes and toothpaste) and amenities (flat screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, safe, iron and ironing board, hair dryer). The only real downside to the room was how low the showerhead was. For me, being five-foot-three, it was barely high enough to wash and rinse my hair; for my five-foot-eleven husband, he had to stoop down to wash his head. But at least the water was hot and the pressure strong! There was a very nice-looking swimming pool at the hotel but we sadly did not have time to use it. The best part of our stay was the continental breakfast--especially my favorite, the Golden Malted waffles. There was also juice, coffee, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, toast, English muffins, and a wide variety of toppings and condiments like butter and jelly. Overall, the merits of the Peppertree Inn made up for the problems so we departed having enjoyed our stay.

And I enjoyed my stay. The location is very private meaning I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot, or keeping my blinds open and not seeing a bunch of tweaks walking around looking in my window and what not, Also a very friendly staff, clean rooms, clean beds and sheets (although I brought my own), clean bathrooms, flatscreen TVs at least in my room, and the room smelt very clean. All in all it is a very fair price for a good place to rest your head and get a good night sleep when you are in the area:)

I am struggling with myself... did I dislike it or did I hate it? My wife hated it, but Im easy to please and have low expectations.Okay, heres the truth: Place is well maintained, but it is OLD. I mean O-L-D. Security railing on second floor is seriously rickety, door jambs are out of alignment, second floor walkway has a lean to it, traffic is pretty loud, air conditioner pumps off a sour smell, limited electrical outlets, and what is that horrendous odor? Oh... they might think its an aroma, because it is obviously some foreign (or...?) cleaning supplies.Honestly, we were only staying for a couple nights as I attended some training for work, but next time Id prefer to commute the couple hours drive each way before staying here again. If it hadnt been for that foul cleaning product odor (which eventually permeated everything I had with me and sent my wife home after the first night) it probably wouldnt have been too bad.Oh, and waiting in the lobby the last morning, I overheard a woman demanding a refund and cancellation of the remainder of her reservation, due to the blood-stained (period?) sheets in her room. They were clean, she could tell... but they were still blood stained and who would want to sleep in that?

Peppertree Inn has it all. They have a microwave, a fridge, soaps, toothpaste, tooth brushes, TV, lots of room, and a free breakfast at the low cost of a motel. This place is way better than a motel 6!

So, we booked this hotel through Groupon and honestly, this place was a steal! After reading the reviews, the good and awful, I thought i would post my own review to hopefully set the record straight.I saw reviews saying that this was the best bang for your buck and had no complaints, then I saw another half of people saying that it was dirty, sketchy, and some even mentioned bed bugs?!We stayed in room 114. This room has a king size bed, free wifi/cable, microwave, fridge, cleaning products, and to top it off, a free continental breakfast! The room was very clean and we even checked all of the furniture/mattress. Completely clean! The service there was awesome! Very polite!Really, the only thing I might have negative to say about this place is:- No luggage cart- Rooms we in need of some renovations (which theyre already doing)- Fix the spelling on the sign!

I would give zero stars if I could the gentleman who works in the day shift the short chubby curly hair I believe Hispanic guy was very very rude to my mom and he is lucky he works there I have never met anybody in my life who works in customer service who was rude as this guy my mother is 85 years old with a companion dog and was just extremely disrespectful and rude because of a dog harassing her calling and calling and calling and making a scene I will not be back I will be contacting my attorneys and lawyers for this matter and you will be hearing from me I do not recommend this place to anybody. Also being awake at 3am when you have to be out the door by 615am by the police at your neighboring door pounding and screaming to open the door. Im completely blown away by the service I received and will not be coming back and also writing a collom in the paper about this please. So stay tuned!

Staff wasnt very friendly when we arrived early and ask to check in. Not only were they not going to allow us to check in early he seemed annoyed that I would even ask. Other than a rude reception and poor shower heads it isnt too bad if your doing a quick overnight stay for cheap. I wont be back. Personally I will pay extra for better service in the future.

Desk people were friendly but from then on, it was downhill. There was no remote control for the TV so someone from the front office brought us one but it didnt work. I have to say, the walls were paper thin. The man next door was talking to someone on the phone at 11 p.m. and I could literally here every word he said and I could even hear the person on the phone he was speaking to (probably on speaker). I think this was probably a nice place to stay in its prime but it has lost its appeal. It is very dated and yes, the door did stick!
