Ive been taking my child to Rising Dragons for awhile now. The sensei are very passionate & informative. They really care about the kids development. Ive seen growth in my child after coming here & I would definitely recommend this institution to anyone seeking to introduce self defense to their children or for their own personal use.

Rising Dragon has been fantastic in helping my daughters build their confidence, improve their coordination, and enhance their mental & physical abilities. My preschooler has been praised in school for her great self-control in comparison to her peers, and that can be attributed to the lessons in focus that the instructors provide. Additionally, the lessons in self-defense have allowed my elder daughter to feel she can protect herself whenever necessary. I highly recommend the classes for any child.

5 STARS JUST ISNT ENOUGH!!!I absolutely love this place!!! The work they have done with my son has been wonderful! The work they do shows up not only on the mats but also at home by him being more polite and wanting to help out around the house with various chores. The staff is great and exhibit TONS of patience with all the little ones. I highly recommend this place not just for kids, but adults, as well!

Excellent training. They help enforce discipline with kids and they make it fun. My son loves to go and cant wait until its time to train. When the adults train, the instructors are patient and nice but dont get it twisted, they want the best out of you and will push you. Ive started to train, been going (on and off due to work) for the last 2 to 3 weeks. Best decision of my life. If you come, willing to learn and train the instructors are more than willing to help you.

Rising Dragon has been an amazing team to work with. I love how they put equal importance on things the kids need to focus on both on and off the mat. They are positive role models and super friendly and welcoming. We couldnt ask for a nicer group of people to help provide a positive outlet for our child.

I have attended seminars and trained with the instructors at Rising Dragon. They truly are the best of the best. They are knowledgeable in all aspects of martial arts- striking, close quarters fighting/clinches, takedowns and grappling. And they “walk the walk” as all of the instructors have competed at and won numerous championships at the highest levels of martial art sports- including MMA.Perhaps most important, Rising Dragon teaches students the virtues of discipline, character, honor and respect. The wonderful work they do with young people changes lives.I give Rising Dragon the highest recommendation!

The instructors at Rising Dragon hosted a seminar at my Jiu Jitsu school and everyone had an amazing time. The techniques were really cool. They were really good at breaking down the details for all the beginners to understand and follow along. The kids had fun as well. I highly recommend!!!

These guys are really awesome learn a lot from them Masters Elinozo , Taiwan, and more. Their teaching are really great such as technique, moves, and ground fighting that will help defend yourself or help you to achieve your goals if you looking to compete in any martial arts tournament and mixed. They are really nice and awesome their Martial arts class and adult MMA classAre fun.

Love the instructors, they all have a lot of patience with kids. What stands out with them is the teaching style and how they teach children to be more disciplined in the class and outside of the class. The confidence/strength the children learn from Rising Dragon will allow them to handle the struggles they may come across specially with bullies.

The coaches are great with the kids. Teaches them in ways they understand. They keep the family informed on their childs progress as we) as events. My daughter loves this school and has gained more confidence.

My children have been attending Risin Dragon Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness for over 6months. They have been such a blessing and motivation for the kids. It’s not usual that boys at their age (8,9) stick with something and actually want to do it. We have put them in many sports and activities and all of them fall to The same fate of boredom and complacency. However Rising Dragon has continued to teach our boys about discipline, responsibility, being courteous and respectful all while making it a fun environment that they enjoy. From parents night out, where they have dart wars and pizza for the kids while the parents get some personal time, being able to walk in the parade and pass out candy and information, to keeping them motivated with character stripes and consistent goals they are excited about reaching. The values that are being taught and the discipline overpours back into our home where they’re sure homework is done, and chores. It has had a fantastic impact on them all the way across the board, as well as making new friends and forming great new relationships with peers who are just as positive and goal oriented!!! The team at Rising Dragon are men of great valor and are an examples of everyday heroes within our community!!!! Great job!!!

Very comfortable, very informative, the family is very welcoming. I enjoyed every second honestly. The kids that train there are very respectful, skilled and productive in and out the gym. Great place for kids and adults. If you wanna learn self defense, which us whay martial arts id all about, they got you. If you wanna get fit they got you. I just recently started here for mma, the coaches are more than willing to take their time and help anyone out if they’re struggling with a technique, and always make sure to encourage you to be your best. Coming off an injury, it felt like I was a beginner all over again and got easily frustrated, but Taiwan and Elonzo made sure to ease me back into the flow of things while instilling the confidence I had previously lost due to being inactive for so long. I recommend this gym for anyone looking to train in martial arts/boxing or even just for conditioning.

My son loves attending Rising Dragon! The sanseis are kind and knowledgeable and I have seen a huge burst in my 5 year olds focus, determination and discipline since beginning classes.

Rising dragon has everything you need to make it to the top. Not only through equipment and skill but through support as well. Ive only been training here for a short period of time but I know that Im part of a family that has my back till the end.

This is a great place to train and learn martial arts at all levels. The coachs are great and invest themselves in their students success. Im a martial artist with 10+ years experience having trained in a Shaolin Kung Fu school in China with Shaolin masters, I can say that the training you can receive here is on the same level, depending of course on your personal martial and fitness goals. At rising dragon they are true to traditional martial art codes with modernized efficient techniques and training. I cant recommend this place enough. .

Rising Dragon MMA is a fabulous and awesome place to send your child(ren) to learn. They promote integrity, courtesy, self confidence and a list of other characteristics that help your child with self confidence. They instil & help to channel what it takes to make them better individuals. They give them.a sense of responsibility that goes beyond the dojo. Hands down, this place is an asset to my child and I.

Ive known Taiwan and the Rising Dragon team for years and have learned so much. They are great teachers and show tremendous amounts of patience and you can feel the passion and love that they have for mma.

After nearly 5 months of training with Rising Dragons MMA, I am sad to say that my son’s experience did not end as I initially thought it would. Intially my son loved and enjoyed the class; however, that came to an end after my son began getting targeted by the Senior partner, Taiwan Howard. Taiwan Howard began targeting my son after I made a complaint to him about the negative culture and climate amongst the students during his training sessions. He aggressively and abrasively handled me for commenting on the class and began targeting my son thereafter. He speaks to my son very aggressively and his bodily language is very threatening. He moves his arms in an aggressive manner in my nine year olds face and wears scowl on his face when speaking with him. This is very disappointing to myself and my child as we never expected such an important role model behave this way. Taiwan Howard has been unresponsive to the feedback given about the class and begin to single out my child. On several occasions he’s verbally suggested for me to remove him from the class as a solution instead of showing unity through coming together and finding a solution. He has also commented on himself being the lead partner in Rising Dragons MMA and he doesn’t have to consider parents and students feelings or perspectives. My son has been dedicated to training and has remained a white belt (beginner belt) for 5 months, after he’s been attending class 4 days a week and the Sensei’s (Elonzo Harvey and Tobias) have stated to me he’s over due for the ranking test and well seasoned. But because of their lack of planning and organization they have failed to formally evaluate his skill set in a timelu manner. My son is disappointed and hurt that his Sensei would treat him in such a negative manner. The last straw for me when was when Sensei Tobias handled a disagreement amongst two students and the students had resolved their issue, but Sensei Tawain Howard demanded to get to the truth of a situation that had been resolved. He approached my son and began to intimidate him using an aggressive voice tone and threatening bodily language. Sensei Elonzo Harvey stood and watched as Sensei Taiwan Howard aggressively handled my son and I. They showed favoritism to the senior students who are 12 years of age and old and wanted my son single to single handlly admit fault when their were more than one party involved. The sensei’s showed favoritism toward the senior students (orange belts) who are supposed to lead by example but instead bully and antagonise the younger students. Please consider ALL other options before placing your child in this MMA school. You and your child will not be valued or treated with respect if speak on things. Your worries and concerns are not welcome here. You would think respect, equal treatment, and heat would be included in monthly fee of $125.

Top quality training and instructors. I trained with Rising Dragon in the past and received top level training in all aspects of the MMA game. The instructors have a high-level of experience in sport karate, kickboxing and MMA. One of the best aspects of Rising Dragon MMA is that they are smart instructors, who rely on teaching technique rather than meat-head philosophies found in so many MMA gyms across the country. All skill levels were welcome during my tenure with the gym.
