Cannot say enough about the staff and programs here. The owners are extremely conscientious about the the safety and happiness of the kids, they continue to go above and beyond in insuring they are safe and enjoying themselves. They make sure everyone feels included and has an opportunity to excel. They are also great about doing things to attract new students and make us feel appreciated. In the summers they have an ice cream truck once a week and offer free treats. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering

Honestly this place is amazing. The people are fantastic and specifically the instructors are top notch. The way they teach, trying to help the students and allow them to have fun as they learn. Its more than just a martial arts academy, its a place for people (not just kids) to gain confidence and make friends.

Signed up last week for my 3 year old daughter and the staff have all been awesome. Did a small session with Miss Ashley and she was absolutely amazing and my daughter responded to her instruction well. Mr Jeff has been her more regular instructor and she loves to go in and learn with him and the class.Being new to the academy I wasn’t aware they close for the whole week of July 4th so I arrived today for a class (not reading the email that was sent out informing of no classes this week) and the owner John was there, told me class was closed this week but still gave us a little mini class so that my daughter wasn’t sad about not having karate. (She got all her karate stuff on and was ready to have some fun learning).Also just want to note that from the first contact with them to attending the classes, the communication has been very good, I’ve had a reply to any questions almost immediately via text and all the instructors are more then happy to help answer any questions you have when you are there and are great at explaining things in an understandable way.An awesome school and highly recommended! I’m from the UK originally and this school even exceeds the ones I’ve attended there! Keep up the good work!

The group on instructors here are absolutely the best! They are patient, kind, and excellent at showing the children a high level of respect. They guide children into the discipline of karate with calm-assertiveness. There is no chastising, no singling out, no cruelty.The level of pride and confidence my children have developed by going has been worth the investment. It has also helped them learn the value of mutual respect; what you give, you get.

My son has been coming here for nearly 4 years, since he started first grade as his first activity upon moving to the area. In addition to the incredible karate education, he has developed more confidence overall and applies the lessons of respect and accomplishment in his school work and life outside karate. The staff here is wonderful!

There is a reason Bedford Martial Arts Academy was voted BEST Karate School in Manchester Region, its because they ARE! The staff is outstanding, very patient and encouraging with all their students and staff! I can not say enough about the staff! They have not only taught my children karate but they have taught them life skills they can take with them every day. My son and I have been attending Bedford Martial Arts Academy for more than 2 years now. We started when he was 3 years old so he could benefit from the discipline and physical activity of American Kempo. We found so very much more. More than a karate school, its a family that develops entire students, instilling the ideals of character, community, charity as well as self-discipline and physical excellence. We have recommended Bedford Martial Arts Academy to numerous friends and family as a place to take their kids to learn and grow.

Ive gone to bmaa for 5 years now, I moved here and had no friends and knew nobody. I started going to bmaa because I wanted to learn martial arts and I got so much more. I made friends, I learned how to defend myself, and everything was fun. I got help from teachers in the after school program. Im glad I decided to go here because it was fun, I got to learn martial arts, and I have made so many friends.

Our two children go to Bedford Martial Arts, we have been there about 3 years. We have nothing but great things to say about the school, the instructors, the programs as well as the other families that also have their kids there.The school has 3 dojos. Two upstairs and a newly completed dojo down stairs. The rooms are nice and bright, with plenty of room for sparring and weapons classes. The main desk area is right at the front door and we are always greeted with a hello and a smile by one of the head instructors or Ms. Judy. Not far from the main desk area is the Mud Room. The kids are able to hang up their coats and put their shoes on a shoe rack while they take their class. Also in this room is a water cooler and changing room if needed. Across from the mudroom is the restroom. Back to downstairs....when the lower dojo was completed they also completed the homework room (for the afterschool program), employee lounge and a game room (for the afterschool program as well as the summer camps and school vacation camps programs).The instructors are hands down top notch! They make the classes fun, always positive and are run well, and at the same time the kids are learning respect, focus, control and disipline. Mr. Stewart (owner and head instructor) and his staff make learning karate more than just learning karate, they also teach kids how to treat others in day to day life. Our youngest, who is 9, looks forward to the fun games played in each class as well as the joking around with the younger instructors (the assistant instructors and junior instructors). Our daughter, who is 13, is currently in the instructor program and attends the teen classes. Both of our kids have made new friendships through the school as well as many of their classmates from school take karate too. We trust all the instructors 100% with our children.Bedford Martial Arts offers many programs. An after school program is run during the school year. We dont take part in this program, but have many friends who do and they love that their child is safely picked up from school, brought to the karate school, take a class and by the time they pick their kids up the kids homework is done too. They also have vacation camps and summer camps. Our kids have done the camps. They play lots of games outside, go to the town pool durning the summer camps, sled in the winter months and play games inside when the weather isnt playing fair.We are so thankful to have found a great karate school and so conviently located.Thank you Mr. Stewart and staff!!
