The response time after my initial call was prompt and we started right away with the evaluation of my dog. Once we selected the right program for my pet we started training sessions and got to work. After a couple sessions I was already seeing results and it only got better from there. My trainer Karlin was patient and knowledgeable. It was a great experience and would definitely use them again!

I was referred to this company by a trusted friend for my 3 year old Yorkie, Justice. I rescued her from the shelter and she came with multiple issues. The biggest one being she was NOT house broken and very aggressive towards other dogs. Jay Trainer came to my home to conduct the evaluation and from the very start I was impressed. He gathered some cursory information and then really started getting to the root of what was going on with Justice. It was an absolute learning experience for me! I never even considered some of the things he pointed out to me which were absolutely true!!! By the time the evaluation was over, I had a completely different dog!I elected to go forward with the on/off leash program and I believe it was the best investment I could have ever made for my baby. First, she hasnt gone potty in the house since the evaluation. Also, she no longer thinks she has to be the toughest dog in Cleveland. I can actually enjoy taking her out with me now, which is the reason I got her in the first place. Im just so grateful for having met Jay and what he has been able to achieve for us!!!!!

Ive used a few different trainers and systems over the years with a few dogs and had some good results. I now have a 16 month old St. Bernard who knows his basic commands and is starting to show signs of dominance. I interviewed a few of dog training companies and liked Alpha and Omega. After Jay had met with our little troublemaker he reassured us that Otis isnt over aggressive but just needing some additional on leash/ off leash training. Weve been working with him now for about 5 weeks and I am very impressed with the results so far. Alpha and Omega dog training are very professional and I highly recommended them.

Jay has been wonderful with our dogs. Our new dog had gotten very aggressive with our other dogs and had run away a couple times. Within a couple weeks our dogs were getting along wonderfully and everyone was a lot happier. I like that Jay and his team are readily available when and where you need them and they dont charge by the hour and by the dog.

Look, I am an inherently skeptical person, so when I stopped in for the consultation I truly did not have an expectation that there would be an immediate change in my dog. I was absolutely and completely wrong. In 5 minutes, Alicia had my previously snarling and willful cockapoo rescue who always pulled me on her leash walking at her heel. It was at that point that I decided to add on the 3 day board and train - best decision ever!When we picked her up 3 days later Honey was fully trained - on and off leash; then began the human training. Jay and Alicia were extremely patient with the adults and the kids in our family. They patiently taught us how to use our leash and build a better relationship with Honey. We are now at a point where she no longer barks at everyone and everything, she doesn’t door dash, no more accidents in the house, and we can even take her out off leash ourselves. The last two nights we’ve taken trail walks with runners, bikers, skaters, and other dogs everywhere - and she has been amazing! We came to AlphA and Omega to get help with our rescue dog, Archer (boxer). He came to our family at a year old and after 6 months, we couldnt trust him to not run off if he got out of the house and he had absolutely no leash manners. He also struggled with knowing social cues between dogs, which ended up getting him put on probation at our doggy daycare place. He was always good with our other dog Lana (boxer, 5 years old), so we didnt see the issues at home.From the time of our evaluation, we saw immediate results when Jay worked with Archer. So we signed up that night, and brought both Lana and Archer to their first session shortly thereafter. We came in to address a very specific issue with one dog, but the program was much more all encompassing and delivered on things that we didnt even know we wanted with how we interact with our dogs.Every session builds upon the last, and there was a lot of retraining my husband and myself, but the results were so immediate and encouraging that the reward greatly outweighed the effort.Before training, I couldnt take one dog let alone both dogs on a walk. They were both big pullers and if they saw another dog, they would lose their minds. I found myself turning other directions to avoid the chance they might see another dog, apologizing profusely to other people as they walked by promising that they really are nice dogs, or running quickly past people with dogs to get it over with faster. All of it was completely embarrassing. Now, I can take both dogs on a walk (off leash even, if were in a safe place to do that) and they walk right next to me in the heel position.We are able to take them with us more places and dont worry about who might be there or if they will get into things. We were at a cookout on July 4th with 30+ people in attendance (half of which were little kids). The dogs were perfect for us the entire time and the kids got a kick out of petting them (without the dogs getting in their faces) and giving them treats.We got Lana when she was 8 weeks old and went to a place where we did clicker training. The program was 6 weeks and at the end, you went through a test and got a certificate. Lana, being a stubborn boxer, wasnt food motivated and also gave a lot of attitude after she would do something once if she were asked to do it again. We came out of the program with her knowing sit, down, touch, and wait... and pretty much only when she felt like doing it (but it was enough for her to get her certificate).In less than a month working with AlphA and Omega, we have both dogs listening to us on and off leash with sit, down, stay, spot, heel, off, quiet, leave it, drop it, etc. This has truly been a life changing experience with how we are (and will be) able to integrate our dogs into all the areas of our life weve wanted. We are immensely grateful that a place like this exists so close to home and for everything weve been able to learn so far.

Before enrolling into Alpha and Omega dog training classes I researched so many different dog training classes and I chose this one because I really liked how you are part of a membership that is allowed to receive training at anytime to address any behaviors that are unwanted. I have a boxer and spaniel mix puppy so my dog has very high energy and I had very little experience with a high energy dog I even learned a lot on how to control my puppy and for him to behave how I want him too. After the 1st session we noticed a change in his behavior he was much calmer and we were taught the right commands and hand signals and how to manage him on and off leash wash was a learning experience for me as well. Karlon was very patient with me and my dog to get all the commands and leash training right, working through distractions, and he was very flexible with scheduling training sessions which is a super plus. I would definitely recommend Alpha and Omega Dog training to anybody.

My dogs Shiva and Aster have attended 5 sessions so far with Jay and the difference is uncanny. My dog Shiva has always been a flight risk, bolting as soon as the leash was off and darting into unknown territory. During our last session Jay introduced the shock collar to my dogs. I have an 1 1/2 y/o American Bull Dog. Hes a big boy! Good dog but had some issues which needed addressed. I had a nothing but positive experience with Karlon here at Alpha and Omega. I had recently adopted a shelter dog who had some behavioral issues (intermittent aggression and separation anxiety). After the first session I noticed a huge change in my dogs demeanor and behavior. He is now a completely different dog. He is so much more confident, calm, and affectionate. I am constantly getting compliments out in public about how well behaved he is. Working with Karlon was great - he was kind, approachable, and understanding. On top of that, they were extremely flexible and accommodating to my schedule. Id recommend to anyone.

John is available almost 24/7 I was even able to text him during the holidays. My dog has an extreme case of separation anxiety. Although he is a work in progress and wasnt that bad of a dog to begin with I noticed an exponentially difference in his behavior and manners in a good way. Our baby boy was crazy hyper, had no respect, no obedience... but he loved us. His behavioral issues had us to the point that we were looking into rehoming him. I couldnt let that happen, we werent ready or willing to give up on him. We met with/spoke to MULTIPLE different companies and none of them made us feel comfortable. I was hesitant to spend money on what I thought was impossible and uncomfortable inviting strangers from companies that I had found online into my home for demonstrations. Jay won us over within minutes. Hes real, he makes you feel comfortable, he means everything he says, he doesnt rush through anything. I didnt feel like he was just selling me a product. Hes passionate. Weve also worked with John, who is just as knowledgeable and comfortable to work with. Theyre very laid back and friendly, but they definitely mean business and wont hesitate to give instruction or corrections.Yogi is a stubborn, smart, energetic young male pitt/boxer mix. Hes spiteful, and likes to push our buttons. He chewed anything in his reach; he destroyed a bathroom, countless pairs of shoes, toys, phone chargers, rugs, the list goes on and on. He jumped on company, he didnt listen. We had NO control over our dog. It was embarrassing to have to lock him up when we had company over, however less embarrassing than him completely ignoring our commands. Our daughter couldnt play with him because he would be too rough and she was getting injured from being jumped on and knocked down. We couldnt walk him at all. He had to be chained up outside or he was gone, sometimes going after other peoples dogs. We had reached our breaking point.After only 3 sessions we have a completely different dog. We are so happy we get to spend his first birthday with him this month. Our child got to actually play with her dog for the first time after two sessions. He now walks better than most dogs in our neighborhood, weve started off leash training and hes already got it down pretty well. I wouldnt usually give a review so soon, however I am that confident in Alpha and Omega. They are truly miracle workers.

John worked with my rottweiler gio, a very difficult dog to handle. John is the guy you want to handle your dog and more importantly train you. He explains things in such a way that takes off the pressure and guides you through the process. He didnt have to beat up the dog but merely corrected the behaviors without the use of treats and other rewards. He made the dog work for him, and as a result, work for me. I called Alpha and Omega Dog Training after my two year old standard schnauzer continually jumped on people and bark backtalked. It was time for an intervention. Harry had his interview and it was clear he expected to be in charge. I sent him for two weeks of board and train. He is now home and I am training with him. John Thompson is excellent in his calm but firm approach to the dogs. He knows we owners sometimes slip and want to just let our dogs jump in our laps and be crazy. However then it is back to work. I cant say enough positive things about their training. They build a relationship with both the dog and you!!!

Man where do I start... I took my 1 year old pitbull German Shepherd mix into alpha and omega for a evaluation about a month ago. He had bit another dog and a human he would constantly pull on his leash bark all night and try to destroy any other animal insight so I was on my last resort when I found Jay and alpha omega if I didn’t I would’ve put my dog polo down. During my evaluation Jay told me any dog can be rehabilitated and trained but training the human is the hard part that stuck with me. I just thought if I did a board and train my dog would be fixed and I wouldn’t have to do anything.... i Did the 3 Day board and train and my dog was completely trained but then came my training.Not knowing what I was getting into the first day of my training I seen how serious it was because polo was trained like no other but I had not a clue what I was doing and I had to find a new way to communicate with polo and make him trust me to be his leader through leash handling and praise. I paid attention to every detail Jay and Anthony told me it’s one thing to listen and play like you know but it was completely another thing for me to put that work in day in and day out when I was tired and didn’t want to I found myself having fun training with the relationship I built with J being part of the pack. Now not only can I walk my dog on leash with no problem I can walk him off leash something I never ever imagined he knows heel sit down stay spot and come on command while I love where I’m at I can’t wait to see how far I can go with polo. So if you’re debating if you wanna come here or not you should u won’t regret it not one bit.So to Jay, Anthony and the whole alpha and omega training staff I thank you because you were extremely patient and you guys saved my crazy dog from me putting him down and you also taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined I would’ve learned in the last 4-5 weeks about my dog and how to handle him...

I walked in with an out of control 5 month old black lab that I was preparing myself to get rid of, one night of him staying at Alpha and Omega and I knew I was at the right place! I now have an obedient & loveable 7 month old puppy who listens & respects his humans. I cant say enough how amazing Jay, Alicia, & the rest of the staff are, they allowed me to keep my boy for which I will be forever grateful! My family got trained as well, which we definitely needed but we were never made to feel inferior or looked at like we were dumb for some of the questions we asked. I went to AlphA and Omega because my rescue dog has always had high anxiety, aggression, and was awful on the leash. Jay and Alicia took the time to get to know Cleo and her background story before and after I rescued her to be able to understand her needs and opportunities. I cant tell you how happy I have been with the process and how they are so genuine each time I work with them. Jay and Alicia have put in an insurmountable amount of time with Cleo over the past month and I see such a difference in her leash skills and overall demeanor towards others. She is still a work in progress, but I seriously am so blown away by how they have trained her and me at the same time. Not only is she respecting me as the leader, but our bond has gotten even stronger. I am extremely lucky to be a part of their pack!

John and his team are awesome. I have two older dogs (Charlie 6, Bandit 7). We have had problems with bandit acting aggressive towards other dogs along with separation anxiety. Charlie has had potty issues since a puppy. We contacted Alpha and Omega and within the week we had our intitial interview. I was somewhat concerned with having someone work with us because Bandit and Charlie are both Chihuahuas and very small. John was not only very knowledgeable but he was especially reassuring to us. Within the first 15 minutes Bandit was already responding to the training. Now I have two totally different dogs. Bandit doesn’t even bark at other dogs and is very responsive to all the training. Charlie is also right on point. The biggest change has been the changing of the leader from bandit to myself and husband. He no longer leads our “pack”. I can’t say enough good Hong’s about Alpha and Omega and I recommend it to anyone.

I cant say enough good things about the managed obedience program. I called A&O, after a particularly awful dog park experience with my pit mix, and within the hour John was at my house for an evaluation. By the end of the evaluation, he had my dog (who had tried to bite him not thirty minutes earlier) walking on a leash and sitting on command. I signed up for the program that day. Johns knowledge, experience, and dedication to my pup is extremely apparent any time I meet with him. Thanks to A&O, I now feel completely in control and confident with my pet. PJ just left my house for my dogs initial meeting. I couldnt tell you how much I could already notice my dogs behavior change just after the evaluation. My dog struggles with obedience issues, mainly with small game distraction, and we were able to watch her just hang out in the down position while dogs and squirrels were walking by. I cannot wait to get started working with Alpha and Omega Dog Training, specifically PJ. I will write again at the conclusion of the training program and I will guarantee my high praises will not change.

Alpha and Omega is a top-notch dog training program. It is very easy to rate them with five stars.When my husband and I brought Lucky, our nine-month-old, 67-pound Golden Retriever puppy in for training, he was very active, could not be controlled on leash, mouthing and chewing on everything. Lucky was Mr. Social with a goal of getting any person within range to get their hands on his body. He would pull, jump, mouth, etc. He is a strong puppy and did what he wanted to do. Overbearing would describe him.Fortunately for us, during the summer we met a couple in a nearby Metro Park with a dog about the same age and size as Lucky. But the difference in obedience was night and day. Their dog was off leash and instantly obeying commands. Being very impressed with their dog’s behavior, we asked where they had their dog trained. It was at Alpha and Omega.Our experience with Alpha and Omega was and is outstanding! In five minutes during our evaluation, Jay, using a leash, had Lucky under complete control. Lucky was laying down with Jay having no hands on the leash. It looked like magic!Throughout the years with our other dogs we have been through many professional trainers but never encountered one with Alpha and Omega’s skill standards. Jay, Karlon, and Patrice worked with us. Their quick, gentle but assertive ways of training of our dog was amazing. Training us was more time consuming then our dog.Alpha and Omega is a win-win outcome. After a few weeks of training, our beautiful puppy is walking off leash amazingly by our side. Before John & Jay I thought my dogs were untrainable, my girl husky has been doing what she wanted for about 6 years now. They had her listining very well within the first two sessions!!!!! I was like, there is no way you are going to get that dog to not dart as soon as she gets outside. She is a runner and runs off every time she accidentally gets out the front door. These guys gave me the necessary knowledge to take my dog outside with me, OFF LEASH and not have her take off. That alone was worth every penny!!!! Everybody loves Lucy...our almost year old Boxer/Bulldog rescue. But just like the zany televsion character, some of our Lucys behavior was outrageous and potentially dangerous. To put it bluntly, she was driving us crazy. So when my veterinarian referred us to Alpha and Omega Dog Training, I called for a free evaluation. Jay the Trainer came to our rescue and took control of the leash. Six weeks later, Lucy remains the same lovable and looney puppy but with an added dimension of respect for our authority and security with her role in the pack. Were still a work in progress but thanks to Alpha and Omega Dog Training , weve become calmer and more confident and dog owners.

Wow, where do I start? I’ve had a dog before but we recently adopted a dog and she came with unexpected challenges:very fearful, aggressive, and she quickly asserted herself as the leader of our pack at all of 10.5 pounds lol. We did Petsmart training and but realized that she needed some serious behavior modification and were nearing a decision to have to rehome her ourselves.Jay and Alicia did in a few days what we thought would take years. She is a cockapoo (high energy and smart) and I thought she would need to grow out of her “puppy phase.” If you are on the fence (pun intended) stop and go see Jay. He is simply an incredible trainer and worth every dime. Our family and Honey are so very thankful to be able to properly interact and not have to worry about biting and dashing out the door or anything else we feared would happen while on a walk or when a visitor would come to our home.Five star review for a five star trainer...we are forever grateful, Jay!

Great trainers, know what they are doing, I have a changed dog!

J. and the staff at Alpha and Omega are very knowledgeable and teach you how to effectively train your dog and I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with them and the amazing results. My dog, Izaboo, who is a 1 1/2 year old rescue dog, WAS a jumper, a puller, I would not take her in public and would avoid people and other dogs when we would go for walks. Our walks used to last at most 15-20 minutes because she would pull and basically be walking me and bark at every person and animal. At my vet they told me Shes really bad. Now after only THREE WEEKS of training at Alpha and Omega, Izaboo and I take walks for over an hour, do not avoid people or other dogs on our walks, I take her places with me, she walks in the proper heel position and no longer pulls, she sits automatically whenever I stop, and stays until I say it is ok. I had her laying in the garage yesterday while I was doing yard work and my neighbor stood by their fence trying to say hi to her, and Izaboo did not move from her stay position. Also since my training at A&O, now numerous people have said what a well behaved dog and she really is. I attended a different dog training school with her months ago that was very ineffective and did not correct any of the behaviors. I highly recommend Alpha and Omega Dog Training, if you want training that works and a well behaved dog too!!

Alpha n omega started training my dog and everything was going well. The trainer PJ was great but left the company and never returned. I was denied a refund of any money. Very disappointing.

We have seven American bulldogs! Before Alpha and omega. Life was chaos! Dogs pulling us down the street, dog fights.. And just pure stubbonness! Now that we have Jay and John. They showed us How to take lead of the pack...We have an award for defense and handling on our seventeen month old X-avior. And our yard is under total control!! Thank you for everything! Jay definetly got my dog to listen to me on and off leash. During my training sessions everything was explained in a clear manner. I would strongly consider this company to anyone with a misbehaving dog.

I will be honest and say the head Trainer Jay is very personable and the other 2 trainers I met in my area are nice enough but nice does not substitute what my puppy encountered.Some of the trainers have not had enough training and research on particular dog breeds. I feel to be a stellar dog trainer you need to do extensive research on the many nuances of many breeds and not go by hear say . We initially started with home sessions but because the corrections seemed rather harsh for such a young pup we paused those services for about a week or so to just allow my puppy to be a puppy, especially since I noticed a change in her due to the over exaggerated corrections and hearing my puppy yelp. We then resumed services for we do have a large breed dog and understand that obedience is paramount so we decided to utilize, the board and train service .....Huge mistake!!! experience was AWFUL!!!!!! My 3 month old puppy came home after the board and train with PJ malnourished, with kennel cough, and abrasions on her neck (apparently from excessive use of an electronic collar). Thier board and train is nothing more than having my sweet puppy in a hot car or in a down stay position while focusing on getting other business and training other dogs. They use the dogs in their board and train as nothing more than diversion props. My puppy was returned without leftover dog food( I know there was clearly a lot left for you could see her rib cage and I know how much I instructed the trainer to feed her every day, missing bowls, and her favorite toy at the time. The Trainer was also instructed by the Vet to bring her into retape her ears after a procedure and my dog was returned with tape hanging off of her ear, not following the Vets instructions.The head Trainer is a seemingly nice guy and to give an honest review did refund some of the money back after I sent him photos of my dogs malnourished body and abrasions on her neck. That was noble but the chain of events still nagged at me and when I brought up the board and train scenario I was told to leave the past in the past and we should move forward. Kind of hard to move forward when my puppy have permanent marks on her neck as a reminder of the harsh treatment that went on during her 2 weeks with Alpha and Omega. The trainer that had my puppy for 2 weeks did not update us and clearly should not render the board and train service. I am actually angry at myself for not insisting on seeing conditions of where my dog would be for 2 weeks and specifically how much training will my puppy actually receive. Because this group believes in posting photos on Facebook, I could see the trainer that had my puppy was constantly posting his new business and how great their new clients training session went and all I could think about was okay where is my dog during all of these sessions???My puppy did learn the 5 basic commands but she is not polished or sharp and in some cases have to be told numerous times to do the same thing, she was not taught the proper way to go in and out of doors and to potty on command( The trainer in our initial session told us these are task that will be taught to our dog but we never had a session focusing on those specific tasks) . Like I mentioned seemingly nice guys upon meeting but being nice and rendering a great service are totally different topics.

PJ was very patient and informative. Would recommend them to any dog owner.

When John came out for my evaluation I honestly expected him to say he wouldnt be able to help us. I truly cant thank Alpha and Omega enough! My pup went from an uncontrollable terror to Lassie in 6 weeks! lolBut really, thanks alot. I wouldnt ever go to any other trainers.

Having a new career and a untrained dog were two things that were really creating a lot of stress in my life. Now that P.J has FULLY trained my dog and I, I no longer have to stress about coming home after a long day at work to stress out some more about my crazy dog. P.J made sure that I first had a clue as to what I was doing before even introducing me to training my dog. The best part about P.J and Alpha and Omega has been the learning aspect. I didnt have to worry about whether or not my dog would listen after training because I was trained to make sure he did. P.J cared about both my dog and I during training. I am absolutely pleased with the serivice I have been recieving so far! When I met P.J I couldnt imagine anyone who would know how to train my 3year old dog, but he has done nothing but amaze me from day one. Alpha and Omega dog training is efficient and reliable. My dog has only been training for a couple sessions and she already knows how to sit stay on command and down stay on command. Working with P.J I am constantly learning new things about my dog and myself. The one thing I really enjoy about training with PJ is that it is just not about getting the dog trained, he makes sure that I know exactly I am doing and feel confortable and can understand why we are doing certain things. P.J is an amazing person, he always comes with a bright smile and is very friendly. Before each session we review what we went over the week before to make sure there are no questions and everything is being conducted correctly. Let me tell you all about my dog Teko. He was a 1 y/o English Bull Dog when we met Jay, from Alpha and Omega Dog Training. Mr.Teko, chewed up my furniture, my car seats and got into the bathroom and destroyed the shower curtain. But when he found his way into my closet and destroyed a pair of my Jimmy Choos he had crossed the line! For whatever reason, I had been procrastinating about starting formal obedience training, but the time had finally come.After researching local trainers and narrowing down my options, I settled on Alpha and Omega. From the start of the very first session I had a different dog. The destructive chewing problem was solved. No more Jumping up on people when they came to visit. And no more pulling me when I take him out for our walks. Also, even though Teko was potty trained, I am really impressed that they taught him to go potty on command. So no more squatting in front of someone house!In short, I cant say enough about the quality of service this company provided to me. Jay was very professional, knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. I would recommend this company to anyone with a dog.
