I really didnt have the best experience here. Im not saying it was horrible but it couldve been better. You have some teachers here who you can tell care about their job and their students and others who make you wonder why they havent been fired. The administration is severely lacking in any thought towards what benefits students and what doesnt. There were numerous incidents that showed a lack of leadership. The food here is just not good. Obviously there are budgetary limitations but when you have an ASB who blocks the sale of unhealthy items for fundraisers but sale unhealthy items themselves, it really just seems like an excuse. The counselors here are just ..not good. They dont tell you what classes you need to take, they lie about college acceptance requirements, and they dont allow you to take the classes you want despite the policy of open enrollment for all. I honestly feel that I wouldve done better if I had had more supportive counselors.The school likes to boast a high graduation rate but the reason they have one is because they ship students off to Vail instead of helping them. Youre better off going to one of the schools in Downey. If youre the type of parent who isnt aware and wont fight for your childs rights, this just isnt the best place.

I was a student there in 1974, time was so simple then but not without its problems.I loved it, some wonderful memories.

I when to this school i am class of 2006 i miss it wish i could go back in time again to enjoy it once again have great memoris miss my cooking class and my future educator class also and especially my night school in Mr. Bans computer he was a great cool teacher

If I could give this school no stars I would. The school is trash. Rocío Zaragoza, one of the counselors, is MAJOR HUEVA. The schools administrators have their head up their ass. They dont do anything!! The school is infested with roaches and rats. They can pay for a new field but cant pay for new books. I hate the principal. I hate Rocio, with all my heart. God the school sucks ass really, theres nice loving people at the school only like 6 though, the rest of the staff you can all suck it !
