Phil is an awesome instructor! As a novice, Ive been with Phil for 6 months and love it.He takes a methodical approach in his teaching which I truly appreciate. Yes, we all want to start banging away and playing songs, but Phil tempers that enthusiasm with fundamentals as the core.....with patience those core skills enable a more enjoyable drum experience with which to build upon. Couple this with his passion to teach and you have a winning combination. Thanks Phil!

My son started taking lessons with Phil a few months ago and is starting to develop a love for the instrument. He has a relaxed and easy going way about him that I know makes my son feel comfortable. Phil is an awesome teacher! He’s polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He’s makes the lessons FUN and goes at your desired pace. At the end of each lesson he jams worth you on the bass. Very cool!

Phil is the best drum/percussionist teacher in the area.Many people can play but they cant teach. He is patient, knowledgeable and focuses on the individual. If you take lessons with him and practice, you will become a better musician!

Phil is a very insightful teacher. He takes the time to understand my goals, strengths, and weaknesses in order to tailor the lesson to my particular situation. He has diverse musical interests (both as a listener & musician) which are certainly apparent in lesson design. I went in to get better at funk and came out with a new exposure to Latin drumming. His lessons are an enriching experience that will make you a better musician. Not only did my playing improve, but so did my musical sensibilities. I definitely recommend.

Really great teacher! No complaints at all. Been taking lessons for two years now and he has always been helpful with what I want to learn. Not only is Phil helpful, but he is also a great guy and makes learning really enjoyable!

Phil gives you a comprehensive lesson each time and my favorite element is we always play some notes on the drumset at the end!
