Agreed with previous review. We paid two months tuition but due to covid, we didn’t send our kid to this school. They refused to give the money back. Very greedy! When vaccines became available to everyone, we were told that they wouldn’t mandate teachers to get vaccines. I checked other schools, there are many of them that mandate their teachers to be vaccinated. So here you can see what school you should send your kid to. Definitely not this one. Last time we visited we noticed teachers were all new. Turnover rate seems to be high. Anyway we didn’t want to spend time to fight for the money. We sent our kiddo to a different school.

Agree with the earlier review to keep your money far away from this place. The owner took advantage of all the families when COVID hit. She kept all of our tuition, yet shut down the childcare facility. She required we pay March, April, May, June and provided NO CHILDCARE. She didnt follow through on her portion of the contract, yet still kept our money. Even when she did reopen the school in May, she mandated that parents sign a new contract with shortened hours of operation (that didnt work for my family with 2 working parents). Even then she still kept all the money we had paid under the initial contract. The owner tells a big story about IMA being one big family but when it comes down to it shes all about money. Even to the point where shes willing to take advantage of the families that trusted in her.

This is a wonderful school. The teachers in my childs classroom have taught her so much. I dont worry when I drop her off because I know shes in great hands. My mother in law is impressed with how much her Mandarin has improved in just a few months. If youre interested in your child learning or improving on a second language, this is a great place for your child.

My two children attended IMA from the toddler program through the Chinese Immersion program, including summer camps. I like that organic lunches are included, theres PE, extended care until 6 pm. Optional extracurricular activities are seasonally offered. When my attached child has a hard time getting into class, hes treated with empathy and recovers quickly. Im proud of how the teachers and faculty at IMA have helped me raise my kids.I wish foreign language was offered during summer camp. Note that tuition is nonrefundable. My emphasis of education for my kids are on improving language skills, practicing life skills, developing self confidence/reliance and empathy towards others. Success at this school helped them set a solid foundation for the next stages of elementary school.[Updated] The playground structure renovated 2019.

My son attended IMA in the Spanish and Kindergarten classrooms for 1.5 years between 2014 and 2015. They have a nice Montessori program with all of the benefits youd expect in addition to the language immersion which is fantastic. My son speaks Spanish very well now with a good accent and is reading well at the Kindergarten level in both English and Spanish. I believe the teachers care about the kids and weve been very happy with his academic progression and he is very much ready for 1st grade this fall. There is also a hot lunch program which has given him exposure to different types of foods and really expanded his palette. Management is very responsive to emails and have been willing to listen and work with me when issues have come up. The only neutral thing is that the school hasnt implemented some of the things that make life easier on the parents (i.e. electronic sign in from your mobile devices at drop-off/pick-up and automatic payments).

Our family was interested in Montessori as a method of teaching but really wanted to have our daughters learn Mandarin so we were excited to find IMA. Our older daughter has attended IMA since Fall 2016 in the mandarin immersion class and our younger daughter just started attending this year in the toddler class. Our older daughter loves going to school each day and especially loves her afternoon class. Our daughter stopped napping at 3 years old so it is nice that she has the option to go to an afternoon class and is continued to be stimulated instead of having to nap. Since attending IMA she has become more confident and independent and interest in the Chinese language and culture. Our younger daughter has several food allergies, her teacher takes great care with her food allergies and the school has worked with me to provide a monthly ingredients list for their lunch menu so that I can take full advantage of their provided lunch when possible. She is quickly learning to become focused on her work and independent and I love that she is getting exposure to four languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin, and English) in the class.

Do your homework, read the reviews, read the contract a few extra times, then keep your money far away from this woman and her weak masquerade as a private school. Ex employees have nothing good to say, and former families are happy to talk about being burned financially.

We have attended a number of Montessori programs in the Bellevue/Redmond area with our two children and IMA provides a wonderful combination of the Montessori environment with learning another language! We are so thrilled to have this opportunity for our younger child who is currently in IMAs Spanish program. Our older child currently attends Puesta del Sol Elementary and we are confident that IMA will provide a wonderful foundation for our younger child to develop the love of learning...my only wish would be for the Bellevue School District to incorporate more Montessori learning into their curriculum! We have been attending IMA since the opening of this location in October 2013 and it has provided a rich environment for our child to learn and develop. Also, the summer program last year was perfect for our older child to venture into learning a third language! Thank you IMA for providing this remarkable environment for our children to grow in!!

Its a fake Montessori School. Not certificated and even not a member of Montessori. looks like a great school but but not.....Tuition is higher than other Montessori school and its totally not worthy. The teachers dont pay much attention on children. The director is so hard to work with. Disordered management. She is unreasonable and many parents dont like her and also transfer their child to other school. One day when I picked my daughter and she was eating pigment and no teacher stops her and even notices her. Another day, I found other kid is eating my daughters snack and I told teacher and she said its ok. Oh my god, what a hell it is. Now I know why my little one is always sick after sending to this school. She also lost so many socks in school, the shoes was so dirty and teacher didnt know where it is. I am so regret to send her to there. It was a nightmare for a 2 years old.
