I enrolled my 5 year old in the online Challenge STEAM summer program and have been very pleased with the progress he’s made. He attended the morning Chinese immersion program (which included lessons on Chinese culture with similarly themed craft activities) as well as the afternoon English enrichment programs (public speaking, acrylic painting, dance, etc). He has no background in Chinese Mandarin and it was a bit of a struggle to get him motivated at the start. However, I was impressed with the patience and high level of energy the teachers brought to the classroom every day. They did an excellent job of encouraging students to get engaged and made sure to teach to the varying levels of Chinese fluency within the class. It isn’t easy to teach children in this age group, much less virtually! My son really enjoyed the creative arts and crafts activities and was able to follow instructions all in mandarin by the end of a few weeks. He loved the acrylic painting lessons, and I personally thought the public speaking instructor was fantastic. An added bonus, Challenge provided art supplies and worksheets/workbooks for each week’s lessons.

Both of my kids went to Challenge since Kindergarten. We like the school because it’s always well organized, teachers are very caring!
