I’ve been working out regularly for about 10 years. I’ve been to all types of gyms and Bay Area Boxing is definitely my favorite. They have an amazing and accessible owner, Jake. He is willing to help you in any way, from developing workouts to spotting you if your gym partner stood you up. The instructors are also exceptional, they are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a lot of classes throughout the day which are all fun, exciting, and challenging. I don’t feel out of place like I’m just going to the gym as a chore, I feel like I’m going to workout with friends because the members are equally kind and respectful. If you are at all interested in martial arts, weightlifting, or just an intense cardio workout, I highly recommend Bay Area Boxing.

Love this gym, been going here since it first opened and started with just the cardio classes. Luckily, the coaches convinced me try other classes like Muay Thai and BJJ and I have thoroughly enjoyed training and competing in these martial arts. The instructors here are top notch whether youre looking for fitness, recreation, or competition training. Love this place!

I’ve been trying to find a gym for a while now that makes me comfortable and motivated. Little did I know I was going to be addicted to going to this gym and learning all kinds of new techniques and meeting a bunch of cool people. All the instructors are awesome and motivate me every class I go to. I take kickboxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu with Jake Tipton. My instructor is very focused and serious with what he does and teaches me so much just in one class! I’m also in a cross training class which is weight lifting with the owner Jake Deiaco and have already seen results in such a short amount of time. I love this gym. Don’t hesitate to sign up just do it!

The gym is super clean. 5 different sections, one w bags, a ring, mats, weight lifting and a fan bike stretching area. The owner Jake is super personable and organized. All the instructors are knowledgeable and want you to be the best version of yourself in whichever art you choose. It is a great community and you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been training jiu jitsu here for the past 6 years and am glad I call Bay Area Boxing my gym. Great instructors with lots of experience. There’s 3 black belts and tons of upper belts that are always willing to help. I’ve trained at a lot of different gyms and what sets this place apart is how it cuts out the ego, formalism, and other nonsense that usually comes with jiu jitsu which allows allows you to focus on your progression in the sport. People who train here have a good understanding of the fundamentals while being exposed to leg locks and other “new school” techniques. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to start jiu jitsu and/or fitness classes or you’ve just moved and need a new gym to train at, you should definitely stop by and try a class!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I was hesitant at first because I hate working out in front of people, but Jake (the owner) made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. The gym is well maintained and clean, and the staff/instructors are amazing and very knowledgeable. They offer multiple classes through out the day, so you can always find something that fits your schedule! I personally love the kickboxing classes and Muay Thai Pad work. You learn a lot, and it is tons of fun. I recommend it to everyone I know!!!

I reached out to multiple places but Bay Area boxing was the only one to get back to me in a weeks span. Jake makes sure to call and talks to you to see what you are looking for. They have different program options for unlimited classes, a few classes per week or buying a group of classes to use at your discretion. They sell equipment on site and are very sanitary. Super friendly trainers that answer questions well (I ask a lot of questions). Definitely do YOUR FREE TRIAL CLASS.

I was looking for a new place to without and off the bat Nick was friendly and welcoming. I asked about personal training and he was quick to offer a free session to check it out. What a great way to see if you like it. It was great, tough but enjoyable. It’s fun to learn to box, never realized how much of a workout it is. He’s also doing fantastic work with my son. Always a smile and full of energy. Place looks unassuming from the outside, drove by for years, but you won’t regret checking it out.

Perfect place to get started on your fitness and/or fighting goals. They offer intense classes that focus on cardio, endurance, and strength. Every trainer offers feedback and motivation based on your level of training and goals. Concerning MMA training, they have instructors for BJJ (no-gi and gi), muay thai, boxing, and kickboxing. They offer sparring and have a fight team for those serious about competing. Everyone is friendly! Please dont expect an extensive lifting set up, but they do have bars, benches, squat racks, and kettle bells for basic strength training.
