We were signed up for a First Aid & CPR instructor class with this company. We registered for the class and rush ordered materials (CPR dummies/AED trainers/First Aid Supplies) so that we were prepared in advance for the course.Fast forward to the day of class...ONE HOUR before the class was meant to begin I received a text from the instructor saying the class was cancelled. This was extremely frustrating because I took two days away from work and we turned business away to allow me to be able to take this class. Regardless of whether other students cancelled or not, TFC needs to reevaluate their teaching methods and lesson plans to be prepared for situations like mine, where low registration occurs. TFC should not have the ability to cancel a class an hour prior to the start time, when most people have already made (sometimes big) plans/adjustments to be there. There should always be adjustment plans in place for when things go differently than you expected them to!When I emailed the company, the president, Tara, was apologetic and offered to roll me over to the next available class. I told her this was a fine solution and she told me that I would receive confirmation of the new class enrollment, as well as information needed for the class.Fast forward to two days prior to the new class...We have received no confirmation or email about the new class, what time it meets, who the instructor is, what the details are.I email the company again and asked for a refund. We will not be using TFC for any certification classes in the future and I would not recommend TFC to anyone else.We regularly train and send employees for CPR/First Aid Certifications and were surprised at how disorganized/poorly planned this experience was.

I also had a similar experience. I signed up for the class and ordered the cpr dummy to bedropped off the day before and I get a call from the person who.is going to deliver it saying he would drop it off in the morning when my class was in the morning. After taking the class they tell you that you will receive your card in 72 hours. I the class on June 26 on a Friday it was Thursday the next week before I receive the emailed certificate. I called them a couple of times to try to have the equipment picked up but all you get is a recording asking you to leave your name and number unless you hit the prompt stating youve signed up for a class and need help. I called yesterday and spoke to a Lisa who stated she would call back, never got a call or voice mail. I called this morning and spoke to Lisa again and was she stated she was off site and her supervisor will call me. From their email they send you after the class if you had equipment delivered they will text you with the date and time that will pick m up the equipment and yet I am still waiting for it since June 26, 2020. Their service sucks and I would not recommend them.

A very disappointing experience. I paid the money and completed all of the requirements for BLS on 2/7, and was surprised to not receive my card in the 72 hour window as promised. When I called TFC to find out what had happened, I was told that I was marked as a “no show”. I proceeded to describe in detail the instructor, the other people in my class, etc. The lady answering the phone, Grace, continued to say there was nothing she could do and I needed to verify with the instructor and talk with manager who was off site in training. She said she would give her the info and have her call me (this was Thursday 2/13) the following day. I heard nothing and decided to call them back on 2/18 in AM and got the same type of answers from Grace. She said she would tell the manager, Tara White, this was the second time I was calling and to call back at 1pm if I didn’t hear anything. Didn’t hear anything so I called back at 1 where I was told Tara was in but working on payroll and unavailable. Grace determined the error was clerical and would give the info to Tara before she left for the day. I pushed to talk to Tara myself and after spending an hour on hold and calling back repeatedly after failed attempts to transfer me, I was finally able to speak to Tara who did rectify the problem so that I received my BLS card 11 days after completing the class. Despite all of my hassle, nobody bothered to apologize to me. There is no customer service focus. This company seems to forget that we are paying customers ... I would recommend going elsewhere to get your BLS certification.
