I have joined body and brain yoga not to long ago. Such a amazing place for body and brain . Kim and Allen both are very knowledgeable trainers and give personal attention to each member. I feel more flexible and mentally strong and calm now after joining the class. Every day is something different and unique exercises which makes the class more enjoyable and exciting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED because it’s worth it :)

I started going to Body and Brain in late June, and while skeptical of the philosophy and approach, I must say, I have felt so much better and really miss going when I cant make it. Kim and Allen are highly professional, are genuinely interested in you as an individual, are very accepting of whatever level you perform, and truly believe in the benefits of their wholistic healing approach. Try it!! Youll be pleasantly surprised.

I expected increased flexibility, reduced stress and maybe a little weight loss- I got all of that and much more! The instructors are knowledgeable, give personal attention to each student and are kind and caring. I highly recommend giving it a try. The sense of well being that I have after class keeps me coming back again and again.

The classes here are focused on helping you to activate your natural healing power. the classes are fun and challenging at the same time. i really like the teatime at the end where we talk about how we feel, it gives us a chance to get to know each other.

The center is a comfortable, down to earth place. The classes are small with individualized attention. After just a few weeks, my lower back pain and life-stress kinks were relieved. More than two years later, the classes help me stay that way, while continuing to improve my flexibility and balance. Everyone goes at their own pace...no stress for beginners.

This is my first time trying Yoga and although I didnt know what to expect, it is great discovering what I didnt know about how to access and use what I already have to my greatest advantage. The additional trainings/workshops are extremely enlightening. Definitely try them, along with your regular yoga sessions.Kim and Alan are great trainers/masters. They want to know your goals so they can guide you and ensure you attain your goals. I highly recommend them and BBC and Dahn Yoga.

You can kind of go out your own speed - within the workout there is opportunity to push yourself or catch a breather. The classes increase my flexibility and awareness. The instructor is knowledgeable, tries keep things fresh, and helps to motivate.I recommend the yoga and location to friends.

Great experience and wonderful instructors. Kim and Alan really know what they are doing. I have been attending weekly classes for over six months and always feel great after class. Yoga classes are always challenging yet fun. I always look forward to attending.

Ive attended yoga classes twice a week for over a year. I feel quite relaxed after a class and my feelings of stress have declined. My posture, flexibility and even my digestion have improved. The classes are small and the instructor is unfailingly helpful with a sense of humor.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy Bodynbrain yoga center in Beltsville, MD. This is a safe and serene environment suitable for reflection and healing. In less than three weeks I went from feeling exhausted to being happy and waking refreshed. Friends witnessed the change immediately. The managers here are friendly and restore life and vitality in our world in a variety of ways. I was once paid to be a professional skeptic. As a former journalist, Ive been trained to spot the flaws in life rather than to look for the bright side of it. That, however, was my career but it is not who I am as a person. I am a person who wants to connect to the more positive aspects of life. I want to live life and celebrate the life that God has given me. I want to learn, grow and prosper along my journey. At age 50, I believe Ive evolved to a place in which I can be accepting of myself, and I want to do better in life.For the last five years, Ive been on a journey to better my life holistically through many forms of enlightenment. A flyer placed at my front door one day led me to Beltsville Body & Brain Yoga Center, and I could not be more content with the time I spend there.For months now, Ive been strengthing, bending, breathing, pounding on a spot below my navel and pretty much pounding my fists all over my body and smiling much more than I have in years. The work outs are taxing but certainly not so much that I cant participant.I am finding my time with Kim and Alan (as all as my fellow students) both rewarding and reinvigorating. They know their craft and enjoy sharing it with others. I can feel the growth, both physically and spiritually, and I am anxious to see where this phase of my life takes me as I incorporate yoga into my life routine.I would recommend anyone who is in search of something deeper toward self-improvement and awareness to join me and others at Beltsville Body & Brain. You will not regret that you did.

I stumbled upon Body & Brain on groupon, and I am so glad I did. Since the time I first engaged with the space and with Kim I felt peace and productivity. That view has not changed since that time and I appreciate all that she and Alan do. Although I tend to be the youngest person in the classes I attend I do not feel excluded or out of place. Everyone makes me feel at home.

Ive been going to yoga classes 3 to 4 times a week for over a year and it definitely helped my posture and flexibility. Each day the instructor makes us work on different areas of the body so I get to be aware of how to keep the energy flowing. I keep on going back since my back pain disappeared a couple of months after Ive been going to classes.Still doing it. It is a big plus to my mentall and physical health.

I take the Tuesday qigong class. Its amazingly energy boosting. I have health issues and the qigong has helped tremendously. The instructors are wonderful and the space incredibly relaxing. Its a great place to get healthy.

I just returned from a six-day training workshop and was amazed to discover that my blood glucose was at the lowest level that it has ever been. If I keep up with this training, I can remain off of medication. I feel so much better.

A few weeks ago, I received a coupon for Beltsville & Brain in the mail.Typically, I immediately throw away advertisements, but my husband suggested we give this yoga practice a try. It’s one of the best decisions we’ve made in a long time. This coming week will be our fourth returning to Wednesday night’s class, Body and Brain Yoga. Already I experience significant relief from plantar fascia, a painful inflammation in my right foot, that no matter what medicine or other stretches I did, would still walk gingerly as not to exacerbate the pain. I have suffered from its effects for over six months, but your stretches have almost completely healed my left heel! There were times I could’ve walk without assistance of a cane, but after working with your healthy body practices, I’m able to take up my usual walking exercise routine again! My husband and I started out with one day a week, but because of the great results, we’re adding another day, starting this week. We can’t wait! Thank you, Kim!

My wife and I enjoy our experiences with the Body & Brain Beltsville, Dahn Yoga staff. Their Yoga program has done much to help us with our physical problems and dealing with day to day stress. I was diagnosed with COPD a few years ago. I had to do pulmonary rehabilitation and after I was advised to keep doing some form of exercise that will help my breathing. I got a flier from a beauty supply store in Beltsville with information about yoga at Garrett Avenue in Beltsville. The introductory was one with great experience of receiving energy. It has been almost 3yrs and I still go to class every chance I have away from work. This has become a part of me and I fall ill every time I stay away too long. I will encourage everyone and anyone who has upper respiratory problem, stress, lack of sleep or just to know your body to join this yoga class. Alan and Kim are like family.

The instructors Alan and Kim are very kind and know their stuff. When you are just starting out, some of the stretches can be daunting, but they make sure that you dont overdo it. Like anything, you get out of it what you put in, and after even just a few weeks of attending regularly, youll start to notice improvements in flexibility and for me, calm. Alan brings much appreciated levity during the classes, and despite the popularity of some of the classes, Kim is able to devote plenty of time correcting everyones postures. Its not a traditional form of exercise, but Ive developed a routine with it and mix it up with my running workouts. Most noticeable, my stride has slightly elongated, allowing me to cover a bit more distance than before. Looking forward to seeing continued improvements.

I had horrible back, shoulder and neck pain and after about a 2 weeks of Dahn Yoga it all went away. I have general better sense of well being and find I am able to focus better at other things.

A friend reccommended Body and Brain after my doctor removed all meds for arthritis and suggested P.T. In lieu of the meds. I thought yoga was a better alternative. Ones journey through the lessons is made very smoothly by the wonderful teachers, Kim and Allen. We are always encouraged to work to our current ability and not try to keep up with veterans. We are coached individually to help with technique corrections. Both teachers are welcoming and fun to be with but at same time serious in their mission. In addition to regular classes, there are additional workshops one can attend. I give my experience, two thumbs up.
