Our family has had a wonderful experience at Fusion Academy Berkeley. Our daughter has flourished as a student with Fusions approach to teaching -- one-on-one teacher to student instruction, followed by an hour of homework on campus after each class. She benefits from the focused instruction and interaction with her teachers, and when school is over, she is done for the day. The Fusion teachers do more than effectively teach the material -- they also really care about their students and work hard to make sure that their students not only understand the material but also feel supported. And the administration does an outstanding job developing a class schedule that meets our needs. We highly recommend Fusion Academy!

My kid thrives under the one-on-one instruction provided at Fusion. The teachers talk to each other about what works to keep my kid focused and attentive, and they talk to us about what happens in class every day. They can really help build on my kids strengths, and start gently pushing at the places theyre behind. And theyve been great during the pandemic, since one-on-one instruction works better on Zoom than larger classrooms do. Im thrilled to see my kid learning and engaged, and to feel like the school and everyone in it are all on the same team with us parents.

Fusion is amazing. After years of struggle in a high performing public school district, being labeled gifted while failing classes, he found support at Fusion. He replaced F grades with A and Bs in core classes. More importantly, he really learned the material and developed a sense of success and confidence that was missing. We are so thankful for Fusion in Berkeley. You taught him, supported him, and valued him for the person he is. THAT is how we support our next generation of diverse leaders!

Fusion is an awesome match for an array of students who would benefit from their one-on-one approach. My sons academic performance has just taken off since transferring to Fusion, as has his self-esteem and emotional development. Not only does he receive way more attention in classes, of course, but the small school administrators also know and nurture him and always go the extra mile to make sure he gets the support he needs on all levels. In classes, he can go extra-deep and extra-fast on the topics he is interested in and excels at, and he can go slow and have extra class time on the topics that are harder for him, all without any judgment.

I took public school for most of my classes and did the tougher ones at fusion, it was the best of both worlds and all of the teachers I got were awesome!

Fusion has been a true blessing for my son and our entire family. Our son was struggling in public school and eventually stopped going to school. After we went on a tour of the Fusion campus, I finally saw my son come alive again and say, I want to go here. Its a very special place with incredibly special people and educators. Outstanding school! One-on-one teaching for classes, with extra support through its Homework Cafe. Year-round school for extra scheduling flexibility for athletes, performers and others. Fusion develops a program that matches needs of each and every student, whether it’s an accelerated schedule, more in-depth exploration of subjects, or extra support in a particular subject. During this pandemic, Art has been solace for my teenage daughter. Fusion helped her develop that interest, in person.

My son’s ADHD and anxiety disorder resulted in him having learning differences. As he is a fairly bright child, he managed to go under the public school radar until the advent of 8th grade. It was not until 9th grade that we finally got him an I.E.P. Unfortunately, a lot of academic & emotional damage had been done. A neighbour recommended Fusion Academy in Berkeley. Her daughter had attended and it had made a huge difference for her. It was just the resource we needed and we signed up for part time as a way of mitigating the cost. The one on one model was a god send! Without the distractions of a large class, he was able to focus, enjoy and even pass his subjects. He even asked to sign up for geometry over the summer, so he could progress in maths more rapidly. The Fusion teachers we have are super. I could not praise them enough. They are very dedicated to their role and we get a personalized report after each session.It not only gives an assessment of work covered but the mood/interaction during class. I am impressed that the teachers really make sure the student knows the material before advancing. All our interactions with the staff have been both caring and professional. This school made a genuine difference for our family.

Our public high school music program is not great, and our daughter is very interested in music. Fusion Berkeley and their music program and studio have been a game changer for her and she is applying to music colleges next year, feeling ready and capable.
