My kids just started there and do not speak English. Everyone has been more than welcoming and doing their best to communicate with my kids! An amazing place with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere! My kids love it and feel confident there, even though they barely understand a word and have never done Karate before. Way to go, East Bay Seido Karate!

Ive been training at East Bay Seido for a few years and it is fantastic. Sensei Todd is an incredible teacher who is engaging, knowledgeable, and welcoming. He is able to weave traditional karate instruction with practical tips for real world self-defense. The other instructors are also top notch and the students work with each other, not against each other. I have never left a training session without feeling 1000% better!

A wonderful place to train. The safe learning environment with a wide variety of teachers and classes meant I could create a training schedule that worked for me.

Great location to learn, practice and master traditional karate. Everyone is super friendly, with no egos (that you can experience at other dojos).The main instructor, Kyoshi Todd, takes time to instruct the newcomers and everyone progresses at their own speed in an extremely supportive environment. Great for all ages and genders.

Ive trained at East Bay Seido Karate for about seven years and I love it!! Sensei Todd really cares about his students and treats them like family. Hes an amazing karateka and has tremendous discipline. Hes also a great teacher and is very patient with everyone he encounters. If you want more than just kicking and punching and want to find your inner (and outer) warrior, you should stop by his dojo and chat with him.

Ive been training here for three years after trying a number of dojos and styles. I cannot speak more highly of East Bay Seido. Sensei Todd is a fantastic teacher and in the past three years the dojo has never canceled a scheduled class that Im aware of. All of the instructors bring a positive attitude and are safety minded.
