World class grappling here. Amazing coaches. Great for working out.
I love this place. The coaching is top-notch, just beyond great. I regularly take classes from Reilly and Matt, who are AMAZING, and have had classes with Stephan and Chris and John, also awesome. I love the philosophy behind the grappling here, it’s smart and analytical and practical but all about doing/application rather than thinking about how to grapple. The instruction is clear and the coaches work with your strengths. I have the best training partners, people are kind and respectful and helpful, there’s a real sense of being part of a team. As someone who has been in many martial arts gyms, I’ve never seen an environment as good as Bay. And as a woman in contact sports and as someone who coaches athletics for a living, these are the things that matter to me, I’m pretty grateful on a daily basis I found this place. AND there’s wrestling and CAMBO classes—-my favorites. Highly recommend.
Stephan Goyne has that rare mix of being an excellent fighter andcompetitor, an excellent teacher, and having a way with kids. Hisclasses offer everything from top competitive moves for the seriousBJJ competitor, to confidence and coordination building exercises forkids who need a focus in their life.
Just started as a 40-year-old. The instruction is excellent.
I have been training with Stephan Goyne for probably 20 years. My two boys have been at Bay JiuJitsu since they were toddlers, the oldest is now a teenager. Wouldnt go anywhere else given a choice. Great group of folks to train with, more family than anything else. No attitude, no ego, just a great place to train and be a part of.Rielly Bodycomb is a great addition to the team, amazing Sambo skills and great with the kids.Come on in and try a free class!
