Griffin is a wonderful preschool where the director and teachers are so talented at their craft. Its hard to write a short recommendation about Griffin while also feeling it is comprehensive, so Ill summarize into the key reasons its been such a wonderful experience for us: (1) Betsy the director really understands children and knew how to make our sensitive and shy son feel welcome and quickly confident about school, (2) the teachers are equally as wonderful with the children and have long tenures with Griffin, (3) the space is just right - free flowing indoor/outdoor and covered outdoor area so they can even be outside on rainy days, (4) they limit unnecessary routines so the focus is on the children and their social/emotional development, (5) the teachers come up with creative activities for the children to exercise different parts of their brain and bodies (e.g. obstacle courses, cooking/baking, free-form crafts), (6) the communication with the teachers is wonderful, Betsy sends weekly newsletters about what the children experienced during the week, pictures included; and during pick up its obvious the teachers are all able to speak to my sons experience that day. It has been a great experience for us, and Id recommend as a top choice.
