I had the same problem. I paid in advanced and my security deposit was not refunded. My account was paid up to date. I had exactly the same experience as the other review. She was good with my daughter but a horrible business woman. Shell take your money and leave you hanging.

We had heard such wonderful reviews about Berwick Village and we had done all our research. We were thrilled to find out that they would be accepting infants this summer. We had a horrible experience and only lasted three days. They called me 2 hours after I dropped off my 13 week old son that first day and asked me how to console him. When I came to pick him up there were only negative remarks about how he was so unhappy and they couldn’t have him crying all day. On the third day they called all of our phone numbers without waiting for a response and when they spoke to my husband they said my son had thirty minutes to stop crying or he’d have to be sent home for the day. This was my first week back at work from maternity leave and my first time ever hearing that my son had cried for more than 5 minutes ever in his life. I shutter to think what would have happened if he wasn’t picked up within that 30 minutes.I want to add that when I stated we would not be returning she became very defensive and couldn’t have been faster in ripping my daughters artwork off the walls and gathering my sons belongings. She stated she would refund us our remaining balance, we had paid for the full month. We got a check in the mail for two weeks worth. When I called to inquire about that she stated that I didn’t give her the adaquate time of notice as per the handbook and I should be lucky she didn’t keep more. Those two and a half days of torture cost me $740.

Berwick Village Preschool is pretty good with the children but dishonest as a business. If your child attends please do not pay anything in advance. They do not include any snacks or meals. The director terminated my childs enrollment, against the terms of the handbook and contract. The director Ms. Donna kept the one week advance payment, denied a refund of that tuition, and has not responded to a voice mail left 2 weeks ago. Prior to this experience the director was also untimely in checking phone messages and returning calls.I called in an absence for my child they didnt notice the message for 2 days, nor did they call to see why my child was not attending that day. They just saw that my child was not there and didnt check the message to find out why. If my child had a contagious cold or chicken pox for example it would be important for the the parents to be informed in case symptoms occur so that the illness can be contained and treated, not spread... Thankfully my child was out due to an ankle sprain.I would not recommend this school. The other Google+ review is the only positive review I have found for this preschool, it is from three years ago when the Preschool was owned and directed by Elaine Knead, who is not the current director or owner. My experience is that reviews are written mainly by people who are either very satisfied or very unsatisfied. This should be a good clue that the business is only moderately satisfactory, the director was sure to tell me that All the other parents are happy there, and they never have any problems unfortunately the lack of positive reviews doesnt reflect that.
