For the amount of money that they’re charging you would think that this gym is well maintained. But sadly that’s not the case, this gym needs major updates. A lot of the machines are out of order. Some of machines are rusting and squeaking. This gym needs new machines!! Also there’s a lot of water leaking into the building. Very disappointed with this YMCA!!!

This is a one star review. I sent my two children there (one 8 year old and 14 year old daughter). The food is horrible and they don’t provide a proper meal. The building was dirty as well which made things worse. My 8 year old forgot her stuff and she was NOT able to get it back. I don’t recommend coming here for many reasons I won’t say. Please take your kids somewhere else for the summer.

I enjoy going here regularly. I have a three month old daughter who can stay at the childcare center there, and the women who work there are so kind and giving. Also I love the diversity of age and different people that attend this YMCA- it makes for a lot of really interesting and fun conversations. Looking forward to getting into the pool and the fitness classes.

Love using my reciprocity and coming here . You can feel the joy here and down to earth feeling of comfort and community. Excellent staff and programming and fostering of whatever one needs . 5 stars easily

Super expensive and the hours are too inconvenient.

Overpriced memberships that don’t include any classes. I believe they offered 3 personal training classes for 99 dollars. Workout classes for adults are overpriced. The pool and locker rooms are gross. Summer camp is also overpriced and they don’t offer you much assistance if your a single parent. Also the director Sabina will ignore emails, voicemails etc. do your job.

This is a good place to do some exercise, maybe some running, after this some of weight lifting, and if you want to swim this is the place .

Racial slurs from the staff to members, weight room guy calling out grunting while he grunts himself (with only 20lbs, may I add) and childcare staff scolding parents for speaking Spanish to THEIR own kids. I was also called out for wearing a plain bandana but same staff refused to go in the weight room to call out another 2 guys inside that were also wearing one.If I could give -5 stars, thats what youd be seeing.

This is a great place so far even though there are a couple staff members that has a attitude about the rules about the basketball court.

I sadly had my jacket stolen from the weight room here. I am giving 5 stars because of the great response from the staff and the police! It only took two days to find and return my jacket. I really appreciate the efficiency of both departments working together!

Been going here since i was a kid, nice pool, nice weight room and also there are many cool activitys you can do.

The YMCA has zero disregard for your time. I signed up my daughters for a sport class each. When I went to take my 1st daughter they told me it was in the gym but there was no class there just a bunch of kids playing basketball after waiting I then ask again and after waiting some more they told me it was cancelled. Nobody called or messages or email me just let me drive there. While I was there i asked about my other daughter class she said it was low count kids but that it was not cancelled. Next day same thing I get there no class no teacher in the gym we all get to stand around nobody knows whats going on then they sent us home with a promise they will call. My biggest issue with this is that once is a safety issue what if dropped my 10year old off and I left? And came back 10 or 20 minutes later to find out she is nowhere to be found. Is not like they were going to make sure they told her it was cancelled. My other issue is that my time is important I need to know if class is cancelled. Also my other issue is that I wont get my money back for almost a month. I dont work signing up my kids for a class each was my max. I dont have extra money to sign them up for another 2 classes. This policy should change for classes they cancelled so my kids get to take another class right away instead of waiting for next time classes start. So there you go they clearly dont want to make it easy for my kids to take another class. In a month Im sure I could have found something better.Edit I do want to update I did call the YMCA to complain and had someone call me the next day he did apologize and gave me a credit so I would not have to wait a month for next class.

Such a rude place. The rules are not establish the same with every staff. One person tells you one thing and someone else tells you another. In the gym there is always something out of order. It’s more of a headache than anything else. Some seniors think they own the place and want you to be quiet like it’s a church or library when you are simply talking to someone next to you minding your business. The staff is also rude. They don’t take into consideration that we are paying our money here and want to humiliate you in front of other people. Canceling my membership ASAP not worth it at all for what they have to offer. The only thing awesome about this place is the pool instructors for the kids and the Hispanic lady from the front desk.

A helpful place so many programs very clean

Worst YMCA ever! I pay 80$ for a family plan.and I can never bring my kids to swim because they always have classes. And close the pool for the members.they have open swim during school hours makes no sense staff is never nice always in a bad mood. I am really ready to cancel my membership. Place sucks!

It was all good until I got banned for a fight I wasn’t in. They said that because I didn’t try and help the staff I got banned. All I did was mind my business and get away from it. Also when I went to go speak to the staff about it they were being really rude about it and I emailed the main guy there but never got a response back.

This is a good gym. The employees are very friendly, the daycare staff is very helpful and friendly with my baby. The gym/free weight area is kinda small but overall its a decent gym.

One of the best place for all around working out and activities for all ages. The price cant be beat!

In order to use the steam room do you have to have a gold membership in your own personal Locker

THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL EXCEPT for one lady who is on oxygen, she never says hello i have made conversation with her many times to be nice and she is only like a dictator she needs to go! The pool and hot tub are filthy dirty, the grout in them both is black from mold, the people who swim in the pool are dirty also, the room where you change is loaded with hair and kleenex and paper towels all over the floor! I only use they gym upstairs and walk the path! The Y really needs to close down the pool or rehab the whole thing! It is disgusting!

I like that it has childcare so when you work out you have someone watching the kids while you workout. I do like classes available for the kids. I do not recommend the tumbling class for toddlers. The instructors did nothing with the kids and just let them run around and have no guidance or instruction. That was a waste of money.

This YMCA is the best 😎Everyone is so nice that works here.The place is always clean,and the only downfAll would be that its really hot on the walking track.But other than that its a wonderful place to go if you want to get healthy.

The staff here are extremly rude, especialmente Ms Susan ans Ms. Sabina. We came on the first week of camp to pick up my grandson to be told from the staff he was not here. My husband and I went into a panic espically since my daughter works in the hospital with no recesion who can not answer calls. An hour later someone call admitting to the mistake telling us to come pick up our grandson. One week late, Ms Sabina, over step her boundaries, making my daughter to leave work from Mac Neal hospital telling her she has no chocie to pick up her son at 2:30. My daughter was caught by the train and Ms Sabina blew out calling everyone in our family to my grandsons dad to my husband who also left early to pick out grandson. Why are you doing that MS SABIA!!!! IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL THE KIDS DO NOT BLAME IT ON. MY 5 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. You made all of us unwelcome here. There is no need to pick on our family especial a child.please stay away from this place.

‪@PavYMCA is it a requirement to be super rude to work at the front desk in Berwyn location? They’re supposed to be bilingual, not to speak “pocho”. We pay for the service, if they don’t like their job, #notmyproblem. ‬It seems just Raul from the gym area and Jared & John from acuatics are nice and enjoy their job.

It would be awesome if there was a rope to climb somewhere in the gym! Its the only thing I would add to improve the place!!

This place sucks. Wouldnt let me play basketball without a I.D. Who the hell is 13 with a state I.D. Very disappointed just gonna stick with L.A Fitness.

This place sucked all the time on the thing it everythings open for free and its not there is only like 1 hour of open swim and 10 hours of swim lessons and kids threw a dodgeball in my face when I was trying to get my ball on the other side of the court and I almost got lost driving there

Most of the staff in the front disk are very rude also to go to the pool you have to go through naked people chatting while taking shower out of the bathroom in the way to the pool and I have to cover my son eye every time unbelievable.
