My daughter has been take class here for 2 years. She been told me a “wired yellow thing” has blocked the dressing room and she can’t use it several times . I was not pay attention. Today I was so disappoint and mad about it. Take a close look at that notice. Because some kids eating in the dressing room ,So Mr Cary (the Director ) of the studio decide to punishment all girls by not allowing they to change in a private ladies dress room. They are kids have no choice to can take turns to change in the that only 1 ladies bathroom in this facility which allows one each time. And put all belongings on the floor no privacy at all. Did not we deserve a place to change for all the tuition we paid . It’s ridiculous. That not a way to run your business here.

My daughter has been at Eglevsky for two years now and moving to Eglevsky was the best decision we could have made. The instructors are all knowledgeable and caring. They know how to make the child feel good even when critiquing them. They treat all students the same and do not have favorites. All the dancers support one another and I believe that is because of the atmosphere that they are learning in. I could also always tell when the director Mr Curry has taught my daughters class because she comes out all smiles. As a teacher and retired coach myself I give Eglevsky my highest recommendation. If your child wants to learn ballet and technique Eglevsky is the place to study at.

My daughter has been studying ballet at Eglevsky ballet for the past three years. In that time my wife and I have been continually impressed with the high caliber of instruction she is receiving at Eglevsky. The teachers are truly professionals with years of experience who love what they do. They are not only knowledgeable and accomplished, but also kind, supportive and caring. Mr. Curry, the artistic director, and all of the staff are always professional and courteous. The productions, including the annual Nutcracker at the Tilles center, are always artistic, innovative and beautiful. There are many opportunities to learn from Guest Artists, who come from New York City to share their knowledge and expertise with the students at Eglevsky. It is the only professional ballet school on Long Island and we are grateful for the opportunities Eglevsky has provided to our daughter and all of the students.

Eglevsky ballet is without a doubt the best ballet school on long island. The facility is beautiful and the dance studios are very spacious. The faculty is top notch. I have not seen a school with the same caliber teachers that truly want the best for each student. The productions that are presented such as the Nutcracker each year show the highest level of ballet from both the students to the guest artists from New York City Ballet. Eglevsky Ballet is different from other schools because every single person there values who you become not only as a dancer but as a person too. I would recommend Eglevsky Ballet to anyone!- A Former Student

Eglevsky is a true gem on Long Island. Not only is it ran at the utmost professional level, but their year round faculty are all professionals with immense experience in their craft. They also bring in outstanding guest artists, teachers and choreographers from prominent dance companies. Any child with the opportunity to study at this school is getting training beyond what most schools can offer. If you want your child to receive professional training that will exceed them beyond dance, this is where to go.

If you are looking for a NYC caliber ballet studio outside of the city, look no further. Eglevsky Ballet studios have a lofty, spacious quality that is hard to come by and a faculty that is top notch. The studio is of the highest quality in education, professionalism and moral values you can find. The teachers are well-versed in educating children (which can be an art form on its own) and many of them are plucked weekly directly from the city. The Artistic Director not only makes the studio his first priority, but is skilled at picking a guest faculty that has a direct finger on the pulse of what is current in the dance community today. Every time I walk in there, the students present themselves with a confidence that comes from excellent training and a huge respect for their teachers and dance itself. I highly recommend Eglevsky Ballet if you are looking for a solid education in dance and an overall positive experience for your child that they will carry with them through life. As a professional in the business, and now a mother myself, I can honestly say that this is a place that I would feel safe and confident in sending my children to.

Eglevsky Ballet continues to evolve, taking the best of what works and throwing out what doesn’t. What does work is the incredible technique that is taught, the professionalism that is demanded and the artistry that is nurtured. Even what didn’t work was worth experiencing. My daughter has been there sinse Eglevsky officially opened their studios and now is a true ballet snob. She loves it. The school has a program that demands a rigorous schedule but now also offers something for those that want excellent training but can’t commit to such a strenuous schedule. It is the best of both worlds. The studios and facility is amazing. You won’t find another like it on Long Island.Looking forward to a new Nutcracker and working with Mr. Curry. He is a delight and so inviting and talented. Anxious to see his vision for the company and school come to life.I know my daughter will cherish the memories she is making here for the rest of her life.

My daughter recently finished her second year at Eglevsky Ballet and I wanted to take the time to share my experience. She began dancing at 2 years old in a competition school and was thriving for years as a competitive dancer. At the age of 13 she asked me to add classical ballet as a supplement to her competition training. Her intent was to add more rigorous ballet training only so she could improve in her competitive dancing. After one year at Eglevsky and days after winning first place for her solo at a National Competition, she decided on her own to quit competition dance completely and train exclusively at Eglevsky.I attribute her change to the Eglevsky staff and the warm environment that Mr. Curry has created. The staff at Eglevsky is stellar with such impressive experience and backgrounds. The instructors are also very warm and caring and they take the time to work with each individual to help them grow as a dancer and help them to build technique and confidence. The Director, Mr. Curry, sets the bar by leading by example and taking the time to teach and work closely with the students. Specifically, he took time to help my daughter with her transition to this new dance environment. He was instrumental in helping her adjust and understand her challenges and strengths. He also helped her prepare for and choose a summer intensive and worked patiently with us to find the right fit for her.Second, the atmosphere and environment within the studio is why my daughter runs out of our house each day to get to class. The overall vibe of Eglevsky is warm, healthy and professional. Specifically, I admire that there is no favoritism and the students are treated fairly and are encouraged to help, not compete with one another. In my daughter’s first trial class as we were walking out of the studio another dancer took the time to say, “You did great. You’re a great dancer...” We were both so pleasantly surprised and it’s only gotten better from there. She has made lifelong friends and loves every day of her training. The master classes and performance rehearsals are run perfectly with constant communications on dates, times and procedures. The administrative staff is kind and professional and are always there to help parents and students. It has been a wonderful 2 years for us. I am so grateful that my daughter is so happy to be a part of Eglevsky and I truly look forward to the upcoming season!

My 5 years old daughter had been learning ballet in Eglevsky Ballet for a year. We got to her dancing class late on 6/8/19 because she had severe allergy. We then found it was the final performance day and my daughter’s class was already on the stage. A teacher helped my daughter to get in the dancing hall to join her group. I, with my two-year old daughter followed them into the hall, and was told to stand by the door by a teacher. Soon Mr. Curry, the director, came to me and asked if I purchased tickets, I said I was sorry that I didn’t get chance to read my email so I didn’t know it was the performance day, but I could purchase the ticket after the performance. He said no and took me out of the room. Parents outside were surprised I was taken out when my daughter was performing on the stage, they told me many parents without tickets were allowed in. When the performance was almost over, one father opened the door and encouraged me to get in to at least take some pictures of my daughter. I hesitated but eventually stepped in, stood right at the edge of the door, took two pictures. Then Mr. Curry saw me again, and immediately took me outside, saying the room had too many people. After the performance I talked to Mr. Curry in his office to express my dissatisfaction about being taken out twice during my daughter’s performance. He said his room’s capacity was 110. I was the exact 111th person. It was not convincing because the first time he took me out was because of my lacking of tickets. But I eventually accepted his saying. During our entire conversation, he mentioned many times that they sent out multiple emails about this performance, and I apologized to him multiple times about missing to read his emails. Walking out of his office I was about to leave. a teacher came to me with their schedule saying that my daughter’s schedule had actually not started yet. When we talked, Mr. Curry came over again and interrupted by saying “that is why we sent out emails…” to criticize me again about not reading his emails. I felt frustrated about his continuous blaming me, so I said “How many times do you need me to apologize to you. I have already apologized multiple times.” He became furious and started to berate me nonstop at the center of the waiting room with many parents around “... It is all your fault, you are responsible for all these. you are a nasty person… “. By the end, he ordered me “take your children, leave this place now, at this minute! And Never come back.” I was shocked by his rudeness and didn’t speak, didn’t move either. Seeing me not moving he continued “If you don’t leave now, I am going to have somebody move you out”, then rushed into the staff office, yelled “Call the police, call the police… Yes, now”. My two-year-old daughter started to cry. I didn’t do anything wrong. I paid the whole year’s tuition, including that day. Just because having disputation with him I have to be removed by police? With my hands holding two daughters, the younger one was still sobbing, I resolved to stay to give police my story. The police came with 5 or 6 people. When seeing me with two little girls standing outside of the studio, they were confused. After I explained what happened to us, they sympathized with me. A police lady took my daughter back to the studio to retrieve her changing clothes and shoes. Other parents saw me talking with police also told them that I didnt do anything wrong, it was Mr. Curry who treated me unfairly. After talking to Mr. Curry, the police told me that Mr. Curry requested never to let us put foot on his property. This is their director who with despotic manner expelled their 5 year old student who did nothing wrong, 2 year old sibling, just because he couldnt tolerant the motherd dignity.
