My son Anthony has been goin to the karate academy for about 6.5 years ,he is now a brownII belt .The whole way through his journey of all his belts this place has always helped him and encouraged him to be a better more rounded person. Its more than a karate school they make the kids feel like family. I have personally recommended this school to anyone who asked about a good karate school in neighborhood! A +

My son has been a student here for a little over 4 years now. The instructors have done so much to help my son become more focused, determined and hard working. Not only do I feel confident in that he can defend himself, but he himself has the same confidence and will stand up for his beliefs and what is right. He is doing so well not only in karate, but it also has improved his grades in school. I am so grateful for The Karate Academy and I can not wait until my son attains his dream of becoming a black belt!

My 2 sons have been going here with my oldest going the longest, I love this school as they truly are amazing with the children, They make the classes fun but also teach them to honor and respect, since my oldest has started I have seen him literally change before my eyes his attitude and his self confidence has changed for the best. Been bringing my son to TKA for more than 2 years now. Initially it was to build core strength in addition to his PT services. 2 belt ranks later his balance and coordination has significantly improved. Sensei and the sempais create a nurturing and fun environment that promote character building and respect. Its not just karate; theres weekly focus words and group discussions after class. We will continue training with sensei Larry until the belt turns black!

Our family has been with TKA for five years now and they have become such an important part of our weekly routine. TKA really instills such character, discipline, and maturity in our boys and the sempais and Sensai truly care about the kids physical and emotional sense! We love them!

Beware of these guys. My son hasn’t attended since March due to Covid. And hasn’t returned because of Covid. Without contacting me the so called “owner” said I was in a contract. They never had the courtesy to call me to ask if My son was returning so they just went ahead and billed me. They’re 2 types of people these days, honest and dishonest. He’d be willing to take my money without my son attending. Without even asking why? Be careful of these people, they claim to be righteous but at the end of the day they’re just out for a buck. I’ve already contacted another school and they laughed at this guys “business decisions”. Many other schools around...

My son hasnt attended this karate school since March due to Covid- 19. We drove past their location in Bethpage several times, and never saw them open, so we assumed they went out of business in leu of the pandemic. In December, I noticed that they started charging me $179.00 a month, without having the decency to call and see if I still wanted to bring my son in for classes. Much to my surprise, it turns out they changed their company name and location. Now, I am paying for services not rendered, karate classes that my son will never attend. With the Covid positivity rate up to 9% on Long Island, what makes him think its safe to operate a gym? The first time we spoke to Larry, he refused to refund us because we were still in contract. Weve been trying to contact him since, with no avail. As a Sensei, one would assume he embodies the importance of honesty and integrity, but instead, youll find out hes willing to jeopardize the business of a loyal customer, all while trying to make a buck. I understand this pandemic is causing small businesses to fail, but there are a lot of people out of work right now, and wouldnt be happy to find $179.00 charged to their card without a slight warning. Beware of this school! I disputed the charge and will be taking my business somewhere else!

The best kickboxing workout you can get on Long Island. The instructors definitely know what they are doing. I love the fitness results I am seeing on myself, I dont ever plan on leaving. They keep you motivated and are genuinely friendly. You leave feeling great about what youve accomplished in one hour, and know that they will be with you every step of the way. They also have a certified nutritionist available to help you reach your fitness goals. Just an amazing atmosphere to be in. Their Karate program for kids absolutely amazing, the instructors are the best at what they do. They continuously train and educate themselves to be the best in the field. The results you see from the kickboxers and children are phenomenal, these guys are doing something right. Hands down the best karate/ kickboxing school on Long Island.

Two great things in one school! My boys are enrolled in the karate program and I take the kickboxing classes at this location. The karate classes are wonderful! The instructors are fun and they really have a way with getting through to kids. From the little kids (dragons) to the bigger kids (juniors), they have classes for all ages. Not only do they provide classes, but there are countless events where they bring all the families together for fun activities and socialization. My boys have met many friends here at TKA. I look forward to the day when my boys have their black belts!As for the kickboxing, there arent enough rating stars to represent how incredible these classes are. Many people think...I have to be in shape or know something about kickboxing to do a kickboxing class...Totally not true. If its your first day, they will work with you and teach you the basics. Its a total life changing thing...you feel healthier, you look amazing, it motivates yourself and others to be the best! I love it and I wouldnt do any other workout but this one.

First time trying kickboxing and this place is amazing! The instructors are so helpful and friendly and it really adds to the great environment. The workout is intense, but they make it fun and you feel incredible after a session. They have a great schedule that can accommodate most busy people. Kickboxing is a blast and the payoffs of doing it are tremendous!

My son goes to Karate here and I go to Kickboxing. My son is totally thriving here and I have never had a workout like this in my entire life! I work out every day and when I go to this class, it kicks my butt! This is the best workout ever and the people here are awesome! I highly recommend and if I could give more stars I definitely would :-)

I signed up my 5 year old grandson for the special program they had and was very satisfied. You bet I will enroll him in the regular program going forward. They are excellent with kids and in addition to teaching the sport, they also teach the kids discipline, loyalty, respect and camaraderie.

Kickboxing in Bethpage has made a huge difference in my quality of life and overall well being. As a first year grad student, I was missing my usual distressing of hard workouts. I found the staff at Bethpage just in time for midterms, and I have never looked back. The staff at I Love Kickboxing in Bethpage pushes you hard and keeps your spirits high while getting you in great shape. I was a Division 1 athlete in college, and kickboxing at Bethpage has gotten me back in top shape. I feel as strong as I was during my glory days, but healthier overall thanks to I Love Kickboxing Bethpage.

Let me start by saying that this place has become my second home.....not only because I am here 5 times a week taking the best kickboxing classes EVER but because my children have been coming two times a week (sometimes more) since 2010!! This is our 4th year at this school and each one is better than the next! You wont find a better karate school around! They have the best teachers, who not only are constantly improving their methods and techniques of teaching, but train and improve THEMSELVES to offer us the best conditioned and competent instructors around!!! They also have the nicest receptionist, who will accommodate you however she can. Plus, because they care about their members so much, they have a Licensed Nutritionist in-house, to help make it an all-around, physical health and fitness utopia!!!! :)). I started out by saying that this place has become my second home......and I wouldnt have it any other way! It is a home to me because when I step through those doors, I see my extended family in each and every staff member and kickboxing/karate student. Ive been going to I Love Kickboxing - Bethpage for a year now. Was getting so bored of the gym. The kickboxing classes here are so much fun and you will get a workout that pales in comparison to anything else. All the instructors are motivating and truly care for all their clients. I literally LOVEKICKBOXINGBETHPAGE! I was looking for a workout that was different from anything I had done before, and I found it! I was tired of the same gym routine & classes, so I decided to give this a try. What I found was a fun, heart pounding workout by inspirational instructors. My schedule is always changing, so the access to early or late classes during the week helps me keep on track. I encourage anyone who hasnt given this a try, to do so! You wont regret it! Friendly and skilled instructors. The adult classes give you a hard and complete workout. The facilities are clean and professional. The owner seems to really motivate his staff to do their best and continue to improve.

I have been going since February and I love it! I always hated the gym because it was incredibly boring. I never get bored here and every class is different. The instructors are awesome and they motivate you without making you feel inferior. I highly recommend!

Our whole family is involved with The Karate Academy of Bethpage. They say, The family that kicks together sticks together and this couldnt be more true. It is rare that you are able to find a place where the instructors are amazing with children of all ages and are able to run killer workouts for adults. Their kickboxing classes are second to none! The classes are a combination of strength, cardio, and work with the gloves and bag. We have been at this school for 4 years and they continue to come up with new and exciting events for both karate and kickboxing. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

This place is awesome... Ive participated in many different activities to stay active, however, hands down this is the best... Ive been coming here for a couple of years now and it is never the same... I never get bored of the exercises... I have only been going to kickboxing for a few months and I am already hooked! The instructors are fantastic and so motivating! And every workout is different which makes the classes fun! I used to go to the gym by myself a lot and I was barely motivated, struggling with the same boring workouts day to day. ILKB has changed the way I view workouts because now my workouts are so much fun!!!! I literally drip with sweat every class and I absolutely love it!!! ILKB Bethpage is the last workout you will ever need! You gotta try it you will not regret it when you start seeing results!!!!

Worst karate class school ever. Enrolled based on other reviews. Not sure if those are real, but the kids really dont learn anything. Its a joke of a school. Would not recommend this to anyone . Another thing to be wary off, is that they use a 3rd party billing system that makes if very difficult to cancel. That is very shady. Almost seems like they do it on purpose , just to trap you in. Please look elsewhere.

This place is amazing! Everyone that works at this place is so friendly, caring and genuine with alll of their students, Its definitely a family-oriented style kind of place, and very welcoming environment, and extremely CLEAN. Every class that ive watched being taught looks fun, the kids are always smiling and having a blast & equally as challenging and always leaves the kids with that sense of accomplishment! They go into so much more than just karate, at the end of every class, there is like a little talk at the end with all the kids where they go over the word of the month and they teach real-world life skills to the kids, like what it means to be confident, being a good friend, and what it is to be honest and patient.... and much more. I would hands-down reccomend this school to anyone who is looking for their child to get involved in the martial arts, i wouldnt even think twice about it. just give them a call and see ofr yourself, I promise, you wont regret it!

I originally wanted to try kickboxing because I was getting bored of doing the same old things at the gym and not getting the results I wanted. I did some searching online for kickboxing classes close to home and stumbled upon ILKB. I tried the three classes for $20 deal that came with free gloves and after my first class I signed up. I was nervous and a little intimidated when I first got there, but the instructors helped me through that first class with my form and the combinations on the bag. They are above and beyond motivating and supportive, and above all else they made me feel comfortable even though I was new. It was clear that everyone who goes there is one big family—I noticed that right away. I can happily and proudly say I am a part of the ILKB family now and I’ve incorporated kickboxing into my daily routine. I’ve been going to ILKB for 4 months now on a regular basis and since I’ve been there I’ve toned up and lost weight. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join ILKB. The amazing staff motivates you to give it your all and never give up. Moreover, I’ve made so many new friends who are just as inspiring and motivating. If you’re looking to challenge yourself and for something fun and exciting, I strongly recommend trying it out!
