We love Morning Stars classical approach to education because it gives a child the building blocks needed for future learning, and it goes with the groove of how they learn best at different ages and stages. In the lower school, Scripture memory and catechisms are woven into the fabric of the school day. Morning Star is an intentional learning community but its also a thriving relational community. Teachers and students pray for each other, parents are really involved, and my kids love to name their classmates siblings in other grades. The preschool is also really fantastic, with experienced teachers who relay core skills with a lot of care and fun activities!

From pre-school through high school, Morning Star Academy teaches truth, trains disciples, and transforms the community as it partners with families in bringing up the next generation of Christ-followers since 1994. The classical model meets children where they learn beginning in the grammar stage where the building blocks of learning grown into a strong foundation of knowledge. As students move into the logic stage they learn how to develop the ability to determine fact from fallacy. In the rhetoric stage, students learn the rigors of organizing knowledge and argument skills into well-thought, well-developed, and well-supported discourses on any subject. The idea of teaching our children how to think versus what to think is invaluable. The fact that they offer all grades preschool through 12th grade is also wonderful. We have been at Morning Star for 3 years and have been exceptionally blessed by all that they do.
